Who's going? Who's camping?
I think @jacobhawkins myself and @what will be camping. I think @kbrok is also. -

Exactly why I said currently. I got your message btw, I'll let you know if I decide to sell it here soon.
Also the only reason I said that was to rebuttal Andy's comment.
What's the best place to buy track days at Pitt? What's the normal cost for each track day? I'm really wanting to try out Pitt, just paying $300 is a bit hefty IMHO.

You also can't ride on a track that the pros currently do.
It's as though you don't remember all the years they did race at mid-o....

Welcome. You are in bliss town with all those great roads so close!

Half price? I want what your smoking. Pitt is the same price-$20 more.
I guess I've been purchasing Certs at 140 for Mid-Ohio and I always see 285 for Pitt Race... But I guess walkup price is like 210 for Mid-Ohio.
-
While, I'm sure there are many other great tracks, I can't think of a track besides Pitt Race that is any better that isn't 6+ hours away. But Mid-Ohio is half the price of Pitt. and more local to everyone in Ohio.
Anyways, I'll be there with Jacob, Andy, and some others for anyone who wants to go.
Also if you don't like mid-ohio and you have some certs, send me a PM... I'd be happy to take them off your hands. -
Let's get this going. Those who didn't make the unOfficial Track Day, let's make it to this day. It's Labor Day, so a lot of you have the day off anyways.

The sad part is I am good friends with a guy who was leading the group with the guy on the FZ-10 who passed on the Cherohala. He messaged me that night to talk and was distraught because he said he felt a lot of guilt knowing he was trying to catch back up.
I explained that everyone knows to ride their own ride and he shouldn't feel guilty about it.
Those statistics he also stated just don't seem accurate. I'd love to find real statistics that tell the full story and honestly see the real numbers.
This editor deserves everything that he has coming. But then again... maybe he's just doing these types of articles to get publicity...

Think it'll fit me? 6'1" 220.

Does anyone know if there is a twilight the sunday before? (Not showing on Mid-O's calendar.) I ask because you may have to camp outside the main gate as the paddock may not be open sunday night.
We ran into that issue this past monday.
According to the website:
Free overnight paddock camping will be available on the following dates: May 14, 15, June 10, 11, 17, July 8, 9, August 19, 20, September 2, 9, 10, 16, 17, 30, October 1, 7.
Should be fine to camp Sunday night.

Awesome day at the track yesterday! We did get rain towards the latter part of the day which brought things to a stop, but we were able to get in 5 great sessions.
Thanks @TimTheAzn for letting us use the garage.
Thank you @J_Copeland for the tow on my very first Intermediate Session. Good to learn some spots where I was being lazy at before in Novice and showed a lot of where I can make up quite a few seconds.
Met @Bjorn and his significant other. Glad you guys had a great time. Hope your ride home wasn't too terribly wet. Hopefully we can see you at the next track event!
And finally @JustinNck1 -- Awesome to witness your first track event! You'd better LET THAT FZ10 eat on the back stretch NEXT TIME!!Here are a few pics:

That's incredibly generous derek. How long are you willing to hold onto it? I don't even have a hitch yet.
I've honestly got it posted on Facebook marketplace at the moment. If you are interested in having it, I'll take it down. I just need to get a new home for it cause I don't really have room for 2 trailers at my apartment complex.
-
CSC,
I recently upgraded to an enclosed trailer. I'd be willing to give you my old trailer if it means it'll get you to the track. Storage will still be your issue though. You'll need to invest in a wheel chock since it doesn't have sides. The tires are 15", so better for highway, but you'll need to put new tires on her at some point as they are starting to dry rot. Trailer weighs about 200lbs so your car could pull it no problem. Trailered 2 bikes on it quite a bit with no issues. Otherwise, I'd recommend the uhaul option for as little as you'll probably need it. I think u-haul motorcycle trailers are like $15 for the day.

I’m still going to go for as long as I can. I’ve already used the certificate and day off so 3 sessions is better than working and wasting the certificate. Plus will hopefully be an open track.

Also, accuweather is a bit more optimistic

Shit. Didn't know it was that bad wet. I already took 2 days off work to do this. Fucking weather. I'm curious about the gift cert refund too. No refunds for weather is a bullshit policy.
It's a policy to ensure they still make their money even if weather doesn't dictate, but the track is dangerous when wet. Weather looks to be good until after lunch, so if there is no reschedule available, I'll prolly go to get as many sessions as possible.
Maybe I missed it, but what garage are you? -
So question, if we already signed up with a certificate, can we reschedule? Website says no refund, just curious if anyone knows any different.

Bike is almost completely safety wired, just waiting on bits to arrive to drill the fill cap... Water wetter in, fuses pulled, lights taped. Plate removed.
About ready for Monday. Now just need to get the trailer ready.- 1

$20 late registration fee for registering within 10 days of the track day.
Garage #12.
Yes, if you register within 10 days and aren't a frequent track day member at Mid-O they charge a $20 late fee even with a certificate. I had to do the same.

In all fairness, I haven't seen you in a while. I was talking to Kevin at Mid-Ohio. That's when it came up.
