Hey Mark, glad to see you joined the OR. It was nice riding with you at the Epic ride, I am glad you enjoyed it. Welcome to the OR community!

    RIP Joe

The media is a f'ing joke anymore, that is why I don't watch the news or any other media outlet. It's not about facts, just shock, drama, and ratings. When you read this they make the rider the one at fault for an asshat pulling out in front of him. Similar to the state trooper story when a trooper with no lights pulled right out in front of a rider who t-boned the car and died. The media made it sound like the rider was at fault. Just sad, RIP brother!
  3. Well another Epic ride in the books. 400 mi and home safe. Awesome time as always and perfect weather to go with it! Great to see everyone and can't wait to do it again! Looking forward to that video footage from @NinjaDoc. Great to see you again Nivin as always.
  4. See all you hooligans in the AM. Bike is prepped and ready to go. Be safe everyone!
  5. Glad it was postponed, nasty line of storms moving across the entire state. Most of us would have been caught by this one. Weather is looking fantastic tomorrow!
  6. Great, it will be good to see you again Dave. Safe travels from Michigan!
  7. Just in case you haven't heard, @DerekClouser moved the Epic ride to the rain date, so we will be meeting this SUNDAY at the NEO meet spot in Wooster. Time is still the same, meet at 7:00am and kickstands up at 7:30am. Excited to see everyone!
  8. Welcome to the OR community!
  9. Of course I will always recommend the BRC and 250-300 class bikes for beginners. If he is going for more sport than cruiser my votes are the Ninja 650, SV650S, and the Yamaha FZ6. These will all be great commuters and capable for any twisties you throw at them. There are a lot of them out there and the insurance for these bikes won't break the wallet either. I wish him luck with his quest for two wheels, it's good he has an experienced rider to help keep him grounded, because we all know when you have the bug, it can make you do some crazy things, like buy too much bike or get stuck with a bike that ends up needing a shit ton of work!
  10. Really nice bike Doc! I think I would hold on to this one, not like it's going to break the wallet having two in the stable! If I could afford it, I would have two myself, one sportier for the twisties and one sport tourer for longer road trips. Now the big question, which one to bring to the Epic fall ride?
  11. Nice bike, I have been looking more and more at this bike as a possible down the road replacement for my FZ1.
  12. Sounds good to me bro. Ok, we are meeting at 7:00 am and kickstands up at 7:30. Can one of the kick ass moderators please change the time for meet at the beginning of the thread to 7:00 am? thanks!
  13. I watched the longer version and it looks like typical multiple lane slab ride to me. I don't see any reason to pin the guy down and jump out with guns drawn. I know there is always two sides to the story and the part of the video we haven't seen, but it don't understand why this couldn't have been done like any other traffic stop. Pull the guy over, give him the reason why he was pulled over, ticket/no ticket and move on. That cop put other lives at risk pulling up perpendicular to oncoming traffic. I didn't hear any sirens or see any lights going on that truck either. Cop must have had a rough shift and figured he was going to take it out on this rider.
  14. Welcome to the OR community! As IP stated above, come out to the fall Epic ride in Logan. It's a great way to meet some of the OR peeps.
  15. Have you tried starting it and getting it to idle then leaning the bike to see if it stalls? If it does, I am going to say it's something electrical like what whaler stated above or a loose connection somewhere.
  16. Hey Tracy, you should at least ride down with us, the spring ride was a blast with a lot of OR peeps showing up. Plus, you need to show of that new bike!
  17. We can meet at 7:00 and kickstands up at 7:30. The extra hour will give us plenty of time to make a couple stops, even though I would prefer one stop if possible and get to Logan a little early. I didn't want to push the meet time as in prior years we were down to Logan by 9:30. That is of course at a spirited pace.
  18. I figured I would get this thread started to see how many of us will be riding together down to the Epic meet spot in Logan. Meet spot will be the same as the spring ride, the Minit Mart gas station on the corner of 83 and 250 in Wooster. Address is 825 Dover Rd., Wooster, Oh. 44691. It's about 2.5 hours to Logan from here, I figure meet at 7:00 AM. Kickstands up by 7:30. This will put into Logan around the 10:30 meet time, of course that will depend on gas stops, fog, etc.. I will be riding down with Derek and Whaler. We can also pick up some of you southern peeps as we pass through.
