  1. Nah, I have a tire changer at home. I just need to buy and strap them to the bike, do it all the time.
  2. I need to ride down to the Pony to pick up some tires for the FJR, but I'm not sure yet if I'll be able to stay for dinner.
  3. It's too bad you don't live closer to Toledo, I work for free and have a garage full of tools. I'm wondering what the dealership could have possibly screwed up on such a new bike. Care to share?
  4. Looking good for me, I get back Thursday afternoon, so there's a good chance I'll have the weekend off.
  5. Yep, planning on getting on westbound at Elmore and to point 'C' a bit early to wait for the group. It'll be a little backtrack for me, but I'd rather have a plaza to sit at.
  6. I live real close to "C" so I'll just plan on meeting you guys there. Getting anxious!
  7. I ride my bikes all year with heated gear, about 20,000 miles a year...except for this winter. My street had snow and ice on it for about 10 weeks straight. Yep, it was a rough winter, but most are mild enough to ride if you have the proper gear. I save my major maintenance for early spring so I can thoroughly clean, lube and repair any corrosion. I refuse to let my bikes sit all winter.
  8. Never thought I'd be an iPhone guy until some of the guys I fly with started getting them and I saw how well they worked. I resisted for a long time, finally broke down 1.5 years ago and got an iPhone 5. Wish I would have done it a long time ago.
  9. Here she is. Needs some work, but it think it'll make a great loop bike.
  10. Verizon Gobal coverage has worked very well for me, no complaints other than the cost.
  11. I'm in miami until Friday. I'll send a check as soon as I get home.
  12. I hope so, haven't even seen it in person yet. I talked to the seller, seemed like a reasonable guy and it didn't cost much so it's worth the risk. Now I can't wait to get it home and start sorting it out.
  13. I just purchased a gold 1973 Yamaha 175 enduro just for this ride. I hope it's ready in time for this year.
  14. Put me down for a medium shirt please. I'm still working on the time off, looks like we have a big Europe trip around that same time, so I have to wait and see how that shapes up. Rode to work the last two days since my street is finally clear of ice. It sure is nice to be on two wheels again...oh crap, it's snowing again!
  15. Yep, it was a great time that I'll never forget and made some good friends in the process.
  16. Since it's winter and I I have PMS really bad, I thought I'd drag this up from last year to share with you all. I hope the link works. http://www.fjrforum.com/forum//index.php/topic/151937-blue-mountains-of-australia/?hl=%2Bblue+%2Bmountains
  17. I rented a gen 6 VFR in Sydney last year and was impressed. I'd consider a '14 for sure.
  18. Cool. I don't really need the SS1k cert, I'm just in it to get west of the Mississippi for a change. I may consider doing the five dayer, but vacation time for me comes dear. Put me down as a "maybe" for now. Unfortunately, with my job I may not know if I'll get the time off until the week before. Life of a corporate pilot. Sigh.
  19. Mostly my FJR, but I also have an old enduro that I took out last weekend in the snow. Couldn't stand not riding for so long, this weather is killing me.
  20. I know I'm a newb and nobody knows me around here, but I'm interested in the 4 day trip. I have an FJR and I'm used to doing long days in the saddle, in fact, I'd plan on being home the fourth day, as I live in the Toledo area. Sounds like a good way to get some "western exposure" in a minimal amount of time.
  21. Checking in from that upper left corner of the state where it's too flat, too boring and right now, too damned cold. I've been on other motorcycle forums, but for some reason just found this one. Anyway...hi!
