  1. So who is planning this OR trip to Leah Marburger's Gap? Haha [emoji38]
  2. I guess I'll be first... here's my post, it's right here...[emoji4]
  3. I thought I'd try some cold weather riding last year, bought headed jacket liner and pant, works great very warm, but in the end I realized I just don't enjoy super cold weather riding too much either way. Kinda hard to find that perfect combo of gear that keeps you warm, wind protected, and comfortable all at the same time and if you do its still a hassle to commute with changing/taking clothes on and off. A bookbag, jacket, and boots are enough luggage for me as is. Tho still interested to see how long I make it this winter, Maybe sub 30 riding is an aquired taste lol
  4. Guys probably a middle school English teacher, well written, hilarious. [emoji38]
  5. Had a choice this morning... -Go to work, then class right after. -Fuck off work, get a new tire and go break it in.. then class later. I think I chose correctly. Stopped for breakfast an now heading to the mountain roads [emoji16]
  6. Small update: Got a new (used) full 2 into 1 exhaust, super cheap $80 shipped, brand new is 300, so I'm happy with this find [emoji4] just need to install it. Need to pick a smaller seat for it, might be temporary till winter when I'll probably cut and redo the subframe to get it more streamline. Also need to find a tank, want something better looking than the tear drop. Previous owner cut mufflers off and ran straight pipes as you can see. Pretty darn clean for it age though.
  7. Just some input from riding a naked SV650 a shit load the past 3 years, you'll get used to the wind and riding position pretty quick. When I first started riding and getting to highway speeds it felt like the bike was buffeting and wobbling, because it probably was, due to not being conditioned to it. But that goes away and you'll unconsciously remedy that. I can ride 80 on the highway one handed sitting back now with so many miles on the bike and feel perfectly comfortable and safe. The wind from naked bike doesn't even bother me anymore. So just saying you're bound to fall in love with that bike once you've broke each other in.Also. Congrats, that new Strom looks badass, and bullet proof motor as many already know.

    God help me.

I wonder if my grandma cried this much when she had to watch me and take me to soccer games when I was a kid... nahhh, grandparents secretly love it. I do miss getting food made on demand, and every 15 min getting asked if I'm still hungry haha. Sent from my SM-G900T using Tapatalk
  9. I don't have problems posting pics from my phone on tapatalk. Used to have issues now and then, works fine right now. Just push the camera button above keyboard when posting in thread, select gallery, select pictures and viola! Although if I try an post more than like 5 or 6 at a time, some with get screwed up at the end with a url hyperlink that doesn't work, dunno why..Sent from my SM-G900T using Tapatalk
  10. St. Mary's glacier, Idaho springseating snow lol lookin like a boss on the mountain side.
  11. The trick to safe and successful lane splitting is to be faster than the potentially enraged/ego racer next to you, gotta be fully aware of the people around you until they're well behind you. I've never had a problem splitting cause I will always get to speed limit or 10 over (sometimes even more obviously [emoji11]) well before any car. Don't give dem fucks a chance to mess with me. 12. What a ridiculously good deal. Congrats! Sent from my SM-G900T using Tapatalk

  14. Oh yes, they have been loving it, I love having a back yard for them opposed to apartment life! An of course mountains are the back back yard. [emoji4] Took a ride to boulder today, These houses look awesome, Sent from my SM-G900T using Tapatalk

  16. I think so too, it's pretty clean for its age. Excited to start working on it. Yeah there are some specific parts that aren't easy to find for this, but I plan to design and machine some different parts I have in mind at work on the cnc. Alum carb intakes on the head for starters, rear sets, maybe a top triple clamp. Should be a pretty sweet little scoot by spring on a small budget
  17. Bought a $400 bike this weekend since I'm tired of not having a project to work on. 1982 kawasaki kz440 ltd belt drive, 14,000 original miles, runs good and is a perfect candidate for a cafe - tracker style build imo. Should be a fun project Feast your eyes on this beauty lol
  18. Gotcha, probably good info for potential buyer as well. But yes I plan to do the front and rear together at the end of the season. Springs and oil for the front are for sure and possibly emulators. I'm sub-200 with gear so I'll be doing my homework for the correct setup. Thanks for the info! Sent from my SM-G900T using Tapatalk
  19. Can I ask how much you weigh? Just curious as comparison to the suspension upgrades you did, I'll be upgrading and setting mine up in the near future. If modifying the bmw s1000rr shock I have to work doesn't pan out, I'll go with either zx10 or zx14. Can pm me if you want to keep thread clean. Thanks Sent from my SM-G900T using Tapatalk
  20. New brakes! Badly needed attention, put it off for too long so went all out. Braided lines, sv1000 4 piston caliper upgrade, brackets from svracingparts, new gold rotors. Haven't even broke in and they already feel amazing on test ride.
