This is starting to sound official now . "Max Power" are you bringing your better half or just two motorcycles? would you be interested in doing a day or two of ADV stuff?

I have had, Progressive, Ohlins and some may remember S&W street stokers all twin shocks and I feel Hyper Pro & Wilbers are top shelf build quality and with the add on up grade features to allow easy fine tuning. I am happy with my money spent. Again this is just an opinion of a old fart and I am sure anything you upgrade to will be just fine. Good luck, I hope you are happy with what ever you decide. B.

I currently have a Hyper pro 461custom $1300 built to my needs rear shock and I also had a custom $1200 Wilbers 629 rear shock on my 04 Strom. Naturally with proper front spring/fluid and emulators. Klaus Huenecke at EPM is a master and will help you thru the process. I haven't upgraded my Z1000 other that spring at both ends and fluid change since I mostly ride it with my wife on her Spyder and that could be handled with a hard tail. Klaus also gives you one free rebuilt during the life of the shock. YMMV http://epmperf.com/

You both may get old someday, But I doubt it....🤡

I have hit all but roadrunner and skull cracker. Most all of these have great ADV connector routes that are great and can be FUN. Max's, Do you have 4 to 6 day's to ride the KAT in 2016?

I sold my 2004 back in 2011. Great purchase Chris. For ADV and Desert work it could use a 6th gear but Yamaha would loose sales of the extremely popular wr250. I changed gearing and was able to run with the Honda 650 on the fast Desert roads out west. It can be a beast in the Ohio single track woods for old farts. There is a gray wire mod you may want to do and also the standard carb stuff. For great information check out: https://thumpertalk.com/forums/forum/12-wr400f426f450f/ YES to the WR450's 04WR450 by

Will do. I do enjoy our ADV rides we have been doing and I am sure it's a great time with O.R. at the Gap Each year I have the March Moto Madness March 28-31 Tellico Plains, TN and V-Strom East Gathering May 16-19 Iron Horse Lodge, TN If one one those events rain out I am sure I could make the June time frame. I just hope I can hang with you all. I am growing old. Old Mac by I

Hocking Hills: Low of 42 tonight High of 57 on Sunday. Start at 10am with some low speed two track and gravel with speed at or below 45 with a lot of body movement on the bike. Perfect conditions unless you fall in one of the flooded road sections and get wet. 😁 It's all good

What area will you all be riding? I may pass thru some of the trails. I will be on the look out. Should be a great day.

Way to far out for me to commit. But I would enjoy a weekend with both bikes down at the gap.

Yes, I agree. The Rocks, Sand, Rut's and water are all HARD out in the western world. Brian WR450

Ride Report: Great ride down to New River Gorge on Sunday for a overnight stay at the Hawks Nest SP Lodge, WVa. with a return on Monday. Weather was a little cold in the morning start with the time change. We met inmate Shrey on 33 south and road together after meeting again in Spencer, WVa. hitting route 36 and 16 south. Shrey checked out at Wallback on I77 and we staied on 16 down to Gauley Bridge. After hitting the local roads we made it to the lodge. Next morning went under the bridge and ran back roads home foe a great Fall trip to WVa. 640 miles of back roads with some nice colors and sites. 100_0014 by 100_0016 by 100_0022 by
