Leaving Hocking Hills area ride to SE of Knoxville just off I75 Athens, TN.

Any good routes thru WVa or KY dont mind 30-40 mile sections on Interstate if I must. Somthing that I can enjoy but still make time. Fast Sweepers, not Pubic Hair Curves all the way. I will be on the Z. Thanks, Brian

I have great luck with Escort Pasport 8500 X50, Escort Solo S3, and the H.A.R.D. heads up display alert led. Also Veil Coating G4. Most of all be aware of your environment and location.

How was the pavement on 536??? Much debris on the road?

All good, But there can aways be a gravel spill in corners.

what's a good route that includes 329?

If You were coming from Marietta on 550 and heading to 13N at the North side of Athens I cut off that section and take 329N to 13N at Trimble then go 13N or 78. IMHO you cut off some of the small town traffic and so so section of roads to get back north bound. as someone said it also looks good going south off 550. YMMV  Brian

7/10/14 On my way back from Maritta on 550W at Amesville 329N toTrimble has new asphalt. ODOT was finishing the painting just one temporary traffic light lane restriction for a short 3 min wait.

We will be at the 78/83 intersection around 10:30-11am.  The bucket is relatively close to that intersection, but West on 78 (I believe), we are heading East on 78,

Fretting damage in steel can be identified by the presence of a pitted surface and fine 'red' iron oxide dust reminiscent of cocoa powder. Strictly this debris is not 'rust' as its production requires no water. The particles are much harder than the steel surfaces in contact, so abrasive wear is inevitable; however, particulates are not required to initiate fret.

Justin here. just got out of the marine corps, and im back in Ohio again. just got a newer bike, 01 r1 with minimal performance upgrades. just looking for people to ride with. im experienced with all types of riding but mostly like cornering and just hanging out. im also into drag cars and what not. just trying to get some guys to ride with. im located in southeast ohio in Hocking County (logan). hit me up.

Derek, Nice ride today. Thank for letting me tag along. The Pace and Roadcraft were all in order. I would be happy to help you with anything down here at the Logan rally point. Derek, I live just outside Logan off 93 (Till Road) I am getting ready to pick up a new 2013 Z1000(May-Jun) and will be switching over to this forum for Info. Personally I feel the Adventure stuff has run it's course. YMMV. I am old and comfortably fast/safe with 44Y road riding under my ever increasing girth. You mention riding this weekend down to Logan and doing a test loop for your upcoming ride. Would it be possible for me to tag along (sweep) your group. I can meet you at your rally point. If not , no problem. Brian
