That is a great test and tune route. Did you install your master link? How long has it been on? Did it do any damage to the bike?

    Try this

  3. Great day for a ride. Great ride. Great group to ride with. Brian (B-Mac), you left 5 minutes before we arrived according to the nice lady at the gas station. Sorry we missed you.

I too am sorry. It was totally my fault. I got my times all screwed up just before leaving. The wife got spun up with coffee and kept yapping on and on about her Zumba class at 9:15 and before you know it I was out the door flying down 78 to meet at 9:15 . Got there at 9am. Old age I guess. I know you guy's had a great time. I am sure we will do it again. I am sure that Tpoppa is enjoying the VFR in the curves

  4. We are riding tomorrow.  The starting temp will be at least 15 degrees warmer than the cold-as-shit ride we did on 10/12.

Meet spot will be the Millersburg Marathon at 9a.  Wheels rolling by 9:15.

I'll be on the VFR, pace will be Med-Fast.

Not sure of your route down from Millersburg. Could I meet you at McConnelsville or Caldwell? Est. Time?

    Brian

  5. New Guy Suggestion:

I can recommend a location outside of Ohio that is in Romney, Wva. I have been to this events and it's laid back and relaxed fun with some great Garmin (gpx) routes to ride for all types of riding. The ride there and back is an event in itself. The dealership is not the sponsor but he goes out of his way to make sure B-fast and Dinner, fire pit and coffee and test rides are available and the dealership grounds are great for camping.  Also there are hotels and formal campgrounds close by.  Check the link and see if this is something you might like for this group.

  7. FWIW. Just got off 56 a hour ago this afternoon and it is open at the 56S/278N intersection. The road closed signs were set off in the grass. they may have it open on the weekends, dont know. There is a lot of debris on the roads with all this wind. Branches, acorns and walnuts were the wepons of the day brought on by the Varmit Cong (squirels) and the wind.

  8. 56 is still closed just past 278. I took 278 north to 33 then picked back up on 78 in nelsonville. I remember that damn light in coonville every time but it still sneaks up. Its right there after that corner! I missed a turn and took 93/13 by Crooksville to 155 to 93 back to Logan. Oh well... Damn sun was in my eyes on 669 so that was slow and unfortunate. Great ride though, looking forward to the group on the 27th!

For future reference, take 278N from 56 and cross old 33 at Nelsonville. continue on 278N after about 4 blocks of resident housing you break out and pass under the new 33 bypass. jam all the way to the right turn on 595N. take 595 all the way to New Straitsville intersection (Begley Campground on right) turn right on 216 and pick up 78N at Murry City. Caution there is a sharp down hill left decreasing radius turn on 595 just as you get to New Straitsville. Skid marks and guard rail scrapes show past performances. Fun Roads! B.
