  1. Just bought a Tiger 800, not the XC model, but has engine guards, skid plate  and a few other offroad farkles. I bought it mainly to be able to ride it to work/school and carry all of my crap with me, but the secondary reason was the idea of Adventure riding. My only experience with motorcycling has been with my street bike. Where are some good places I can go to see what I would need to get more into Adv riding? Appreciate the help!

Congratulations on the new bike. As far as good places I will suggest you may go to:  http://www.advrider.com/forums/index.php this is a world wide Adventure Forum. Adventure Ohio is Regional:  http://www.advrider.com/forums/showthread.php?t=28732

There is a little bit of everything in AO but sometimes rides will get posted. The rides are a mix of everything. Introduce yourself and see what going on. I have posted events here on OR before but have not had much Adventure type response. Hope to see you on a group ride sometime. B.

  2. Nivin, Sorry to here about the mishap, I wish him a speedy recovery. I waited till 1pm at New Concord and then drove to 83S to 78 turned around and drove back to Cumberland, No Joy, Turned around and drove 83s -339s-550w-379N 78W back to HH. 230mi. I am sure we can do this again. B.

  3. Just wanted to see if any one interested in a short loop down to SEO. Short loop of under 200 miles only as I am coming all the way from Mi and plan to go back to MI same day hence want to keep the total mileage below 700.

I was thinking i can be at millersburg by 11:30 > start ride by 12:00 Go down 83 and some other clean good roads for about 150-200 miles. Ride to finish in millersburg or zanesville, Based on timing or who else interested etc.

Meet spot: Marathon 1129 S washington Street, Millersburg OH, 44654

    Date: Saturday May 23

Time: Meet 11:30 / kick stand 12:00 noon

Route: South ohio / about 150 -200 miles

Do you have a in-route fuel stop and estimated time. I don't go above I70 often and could meet and join in further south.

  4. Sadly, I don't see that with our USAF drivers.  They may amongst themselves, but as a lowly enlisted maintainer, I never hear admission of guilt.  Even after it's proven.

I concur with Tigerpaw. In my world of  Military, Commercial, Civilian Aviation I have seen the majority of Pilots will denie, denie, denie any wrong doing what-so-ever. That's why we now have to plug in after the flight and check the (ACMS) Aircraft Condition Monitoring System to check specific engine and aircraft parameters are exceeded. "Hey Fly Boy, You wrote in the log FLT. 1 OK and signed it off. You want to tell me why I have a engine overtorque event that lasted 5 min. followed by a Rotor Overspeed. Plus you Overtemp the Hot Section with that manual start-up. Hey Buck Rogers, You care to tell me why the tail stinger in bent and all the anti torque drive shaft coulping nuts slippage marks are gone. Class A accidents are what change things and it is a very slow process.

Pilot self reporting for pilot mental health issues, :hello:  This is about to change after the last biggie.

Save that (strong culture of owning up to your own mistakes) for holiday family dinners. :hungry:

  5. Hum, I just read the first post and there's a lot of rules lol. Not sure I'll be able to remember all of them. And am I reading the roster right? No one in fast group?

I've got a wedding to attend Saturday but it is also looking like rain Saturday. If ride gets moved to Sunday I will be in attendance.

Whatever group looks like it has the most single ladies in, that's my group. If none well then put me wherever

I have been advised by my legal counsel not to sign on to such a lawless group via the internet. so I will follow Jim's ninja group and behave. I am sure you will find the FAST ladies group. Please report back at a later date. B.

  6. I am willing to lead a medium fast group (by the response so far there should be 2 medium fast groups). My group will add about 40 miles to the loop by nixing 821/339 & taking 260/26 instead. Any interest? Anyone willing to sweep?

It would be a honor and privilege to accompany such a group with your leadership. +1

Question in the back: Did you mean 40mph faster that the 1st. med fast Grp.???

  7. i do it

i charge $20 a wheel off the bike

$35 a wheel on the bike

    contact me at 614-256-3407

Have your prices gone up for 2015? Is Marysville the location where this activity takes place? I have a F&R set off the bike that need to be replaced but I am down in HH and dont know if this would be cost effective drive (82mi). B.
