    Ride Saturday 11-5

I just saw this. Is this a open thing? Can a old guy join in on this Epic Encounter? I can make the McConnellsville meet-up. I will behave and not cause any trouble. I will bring a broom to sweep if needed.
  2. I will most likely have it done by a shop next 100k.
  3. Finished My 100K service on my Honda Ridgeline Bike Transport vehicle. T & Serp belt & Tensioners, W.Pump, plugs, all fluids. I have done two prior on my 2006 But......... This time it, "Kicked my ass" on the gravel driveway with stands. Up-Down, on my back, on my knees, on step ladder bent over inn the engine compartment over and over again. I am getting to old for this shit. But it's nice to save the money for motorcycle fun and being retired I should just STFU and get shit done and be happy,
  4. I found a universal wind screen in my stash and mounted it to the Monkey. Heated grips and wind screen for the winter.
  5. Same here. when it's near 70deg's I'm riding. Tuesday we rode 278 out of Nellsonville to 56 S. jumped on 356 to Mineral and then rode 261 all the way south to Reedsville at the river. Don't ride 261 often but it's been repaved in some areas and repaired in other spots. Great country road to ride south on. We then headed north on 124 along the river to Little Hocking and 555, 676, 376 McConnelsville "Lunch" and 669 back home. Great weather and the Fall colors are great in spots. We took a break at the Bellville Locks & Dam off 124. Clean rest rooms and park area. Moto-Mac https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCsBAaDfZkbxULiV3c5MohnA/videos?view=0&sort=da&flow=grid

  13. Marietta, OH. Day Ride. Got out Friday with two local friends and one new friend from northern Ohio. We road out of Marietta heading NE keeping I77 on our left as a boundary and Hwy 7 river on the right. We made our way north, zigzagging on gravel and two track using the great asphalt twists like Hwy26 as connectors. Washington Co. really takes care of the gravel roads. Nothing but nice shade and beautiful scenery. Lunch on the river at the boathouse and then asphalt curves back west. 676 to the 555N to 78.....280miles for me .
  14. Ron, Take your wife down to Iron Horse Motorcycle Lodge for a weekend. https://ironhorsenc.com/ And rent a gold wind and ride some great roads ans she will be sold on a new purchase with yearly visits to the NC/TN region for ride vacations. They have two rental locations. I rented a DR650 on my first Smokey Mountain 500 trip. Great People. https://wolfcreekrentals.us/
  15. Yes. I ride to eat\drink. Great little river town.
  16. Friday, the Spyder Wife and I set out for a overnight-er down to Augusta, KY from our home in Hocking Hills, Ohio. We take back roads as much a possible to enjoy the sights and enjoy curves with shade. Our first stop was Aberdeen, OH. for a photo of the Maysville Bridge looking south over the Ohio River. Next we crossed over and enjoyed Lunch at Delite's Diner in Maysville, KY. A 50's Style diner with great food and music. After lunch we jumped back over to Ohio and continued to Augusta, KY. Back roads again zig zaging from waterfront up high in the woods. One road (221) just North of the Higginsport Ferry had a stone wall that went for miles. This must have taken a lot of work back in the day. As the 4pm "Check In time at the "Augusta Guest House" had just past so we jumped on the Ferry and crossed over to the great little town of Augusta, KY. where food, music and friendly folks live and enjoy the river life. After check in and showers we walked down to the new "Beehive" restaurant$$$ for happy hour and dinner sitting out side with a river view. We finished and walked around town checking out the "American Queen" cruse ship that was docked for a few night stay. As the sun was closing we enjoyed the sunset by the river. We then walked back to the hotel enjoying the outdoor band playing at the Augusta pub and crashed for the night. In the morning we loaded up had breakfast outside at the General Store, ferried across to Ohio and returned home. Total miles 440

  18. 7/31/2022 Sunday Temporary/road repair: 676 (Lancaster St.) coming out of Marietta, OH. in-route Watertown is closed at 14174 676. use gravel 126 Turkeyhen rd. to 55 Rauch rd. to detour around.
  19. Get Well Soon, Fall riding season is just around the corner.
  20. Spyder lady and I returned from our Little Switzerland, NC. 13-18th. trip yesterday afternoon. "1623miles total" just missing the rain by minutes. We decided to blast back 429miles via Interstate 77&64 to beat the rain and not do a overnight in-route. Had a great time riding the curves of the NC/TN area with local knowledge routes set up by the "MSTA" org. The Big Lyn Lodge was fan f'in fantastic with great meals and accommodations. MSTA provided a great local classic rock band outside overlooking the mountains on Saturday night that caused me to over consume the wine and beer, but I was still able to dance outside with Spyder lady while wearing flip flop's. We road over to Erwin, TN. area to visit the Unaka Mountain Overlook, that I found when I road the Smokey Mountain 1000 adventure section. So I was able to make it up to the top on the Z1K but Spyder made it 3/4 and waited for me to get the photo. FYI, Erwin, TN. is another good base to do ADV stuff. Great time. The Z1k work well with soft bags strapped on we had no issues.
