He might join but with the new job he can't commit to anything. @JustinNck1
Yeah, work has really put a damper on my vacation planning...

I agree the show is continuing to shrink, but it was cool to see Zero motorcycles make an appearance. Ran into @Tonik and some other local friends, so that was cool. AIM Expo is definitely head and shoulders above IMS.

Anyone wanna go race some karts this Saturday? Probably electric karts by the casino in Columbus. We had a bad experience at the gas owned last time.

Isaac and I will be there on Friday. He wants to look at dual sports. I hope he can sit on that little 250 Yamaha with the round headlight.
I'll be there Friday as well. Looking at dual sports.

Gave both bikes a much needed bath. I figured it was time to do a maintenance assessment to see what needs done before spring. Both bikes need a front tire, FJR needs a fork flush, and the MT needs an oil change. Really starting to get cabin fever.

I'm going up Friday evening if anyone wants to meet up.

The bojangles in Robbinsville is shut down now. I'm not sure if that's the one you guys are referring to.

Sounds like a win.
Biggest issue is no vacation first 12 months of employment...

I paid $400 for my first decent bike. It was a 2012 Specialized Sirrus Sport that was barely a year old. It also came with a $600 wheelset that I moved over to my Trek road bike when I picked one up.
Deals can be had if you are willing to hunt for them.
Any recommendations on where to look? Craigslist?

Really?! What didn't you like about it?
Bikes needs to be a hobby not a profession for me. Going to a job with substantial pay increase, 4 days a week instead of 6, full benefits vs none, etc.

This must be the time of the year. I am leaving my Marketing job at the end of the week. I was only there 13 months, I couldn't imagine leaving a company after 13 years.

This is not helping my logical thinking that i don't need 3 bikes. I'm going to have to get myself something for the dirt...

Hybrids are a good option for most people. I would personally not buy one with a suspension fork. It just ads weight and really doesn't provide any useful benefit for crushed stone paths.
Far be it from me to take the joy out of buying your first brand new bicycle, but your money will go a long way with a used bike. A decent hybrid can be bought for a couple hundred dollars. A really nice (used) first bike can be had for $500ish.
This was actually my thought process, purchase used for the first bike.

So I've been looking at getting a bicycle in the spring. Went to a Trek store in Westerville. Got fitted, tried a few in the parking lot. I really like the Trek DS 4. Thoughts?

Showed this to my wife and she said “that’s not the same guy”. Nice work man.
Haha the lady at the liquor store said the same thing and almost took my driver's license away.

It sounds bad but I dont care what the scale says anymore. I feeling I'm slimming down but the scale stays the same. I've noticed increase in arm size and chest, gut is shrinking.

Yep. I plan to do high protein low carb for a while, or at least until I'm horribly sick of eggs. Then I may transition to tuna and then ???
I lived off grilled chicken for the longest time 🤣

Trust me, I love the Smokey Mountains, but damn we got some awesome riding in SEO and WV that aren't nearly as enforced.
