  1. First new bike I've owned, so I figured I would try keeping up with "recommended service spec" and I like farkles. Plus it's cold as shit outside, and I have a heated garage.
  2. Just got my horns installed and wow they sound good. Not a ridiculous loud, but definitely louder than stock by alot. The tone is way better though.
  3. It's the slim dual kit with a 500hz and 400hz. The 2013+ FJRs only had one, but they still left the cutouts for 2. It's just a plug and play for one, and a jumper to the other. Here is the kit I ordered. Seen a bunch of guys have them. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B004FXMGLY/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o01_s01?ie=UTF8&psc=1
  4. Scratch that, Traxxion's machinist discovered that a washer at the bottom of the spring could resolve the issue, so they are overnighting me a set of washers. RaceTech never called me back to complete my order (Their Ordering system was down and they were supposed to call me back for payment info). So hopefully, I can get the forks put back together tomorrow. New PIAA horn set was just delivered, so I have that to work on and I need to do a clutch fluid flush.
  5. Just got off the phone with RaceTech. They have the springs and guide kit in stock. Traxxion is processing my refund.
  6. So i ordered my fork springs from Traxxion Dynamics on 02/20. I waited until 03/10 to get the springs, which showed up with none of the required spacers or washers. I call the next day and they say they forgot and their shipping the hardware out. So I received the hardware last night, install everything and guess what. The springs are wrong. The springs need to be tapered for the FJR and these are not, causing the spring to slide past the cartridge. Just got off the phone with them, they admit they screwed up but I have to wait 3 weeks for another set of springs. Needless to say, I'm pissed. New springs are being ordered, but I'm calling RaceTech to see if they can get them faster somehow.
  7. You think that's bad, try going to the Ten Grand Nationals at Norwalk. Wait five hours between time trials and first round eliminations. Of course it's 10 grand per day for 3 days.
  8. Seems like every year they schedule an early test and tune and it gets cancelled due to weather. This year will be interesting to see how the new owners run the events.
  9. Yeah that's standard Yamalube. Synthetic Yamalube is like $12+ a quart.
  10. I am wearing the Merrell Moab boots now. I work a desk job, so they don't get used much until I get home. This is my 3rd pair of Merrell shoes/boots, and by far the most comfortable footwear I've ever owned.
  11. I'm the non-moderator spammer spotter.
  12. Swingarm bearing service happening this evening...
  13. +1 and the vise jaw inserts help a ton.
  14. Not my bike, but I got to take this thing around the block and through the yard for a little rip.
  15. Got another rear tire delivered today and my Traxxion Dynamics Fork Springs.
  16. The shorter the sidewall and wider, the harder to install IMO.
  17. And now the Farkle purchasing begins...
  18. I've seen ADV tires done with spoons, its not that bad.
  19. Make a small investment and you will save yourself in the long run. http://www.harborfreight.com/manual-tire-changer-62317.html http://www.harborfreight.com/motorcycle-tire-changer-attachment-60810.html http://www.harborfreight.com/motorcycle-wheel-balancing-stand-98488.html
  20. I really like the white. You'll have to bring that thing over to SEO and give it a proper break in once the weather breaks.
  21. I haven't seen much on the scale change lately, but I can tell a size difference. Arms and legs definitely are more toned and my waist keeps getting smaller. I've done more weight training in the last couple weeks than I ever have. My treadmill running progress is getting better as well. The thing still kicks my ass every time though.
