  1. Ordered a set of LED flood lights for the FJR.
  2. E-check? Glad I live down here in the boonies. The new exhaust system on my truck has no cats and high flow muffler. Got rid of that evap crap too.
  3. I always like riding all day with just snacks and granola bars, then enjoy a dinner at the end of the day. I worry more about hydration than eating.
  4. Sorry all this talk kept bringing flash backs
  5. I did not impact or do anything to damage them. I didn't ride my K-bike nearly as hard as I do the FJR. Half a liter of oil per fork. It failed enough to have a small hole that sprayed like a mist when working the forks. You can defend all you want, but I am telling you a real world experience. The telelever system, like other forks, can have failures over time. Also depending on the year of the bike, they used multiple manufacturers, which use different fork seals. Must not be a perfect system if they changed them.
  6. Even if you fight and win, you could still have to pay court costs and you have to take a day off work. Play stupid games, win stupid prizes....(We've all done it though)
  7. They are just a simple fork seal like any other fork. So when they fail, they should be replaced. Mine failed at about New River Gorge on rt 60. By the time I got home, the front of the bike had an oil residue all over it.
  8. Adjusting the carb on a 86 xt350 has became a real pain.
  9. Yeah I had BMW telelever, and I had a fork seal fail.
  10. Changing the rate and going to a different weight oil.
  11. Got the bike outside, rode it around the block and washed it. Fork springs are on backorder so I have to wait 2 weeks. Still need to service the driveshaft and grease swingarm pivot.
  12. Definitely try to get the corrosion cleaned off the bead. For stubborn tires, sometimes a ratchet strap around the circumference helps, as well as a bead blaster that can shoot a ton of air at once.
  13. Just ordered some fork springs and fork oil. Another task to add to my winter service/upgrades.
  14. I've re-applied new 3M tape without issue. Gotta get the right thickness. I also run a tether like the ones in the link below if I am nervous about where I am mounting it. https://www.amazon.com/BeneU-Tethers-Accessory-Adhesive-Stickers/dp/B00W4XTWTQ/ref=sr_1_3?ie=UTF8&qid=1487392054&sr=8-3&keywords=gopro+tether
  15. Gatlinburg, Pigeon Forge, Maggie Valley, Cherokee. All are nice areas with places within walking distance.
  16. Just so you guys know, I'm jealous. Being without a bike sucks...
  17. I was thinking the same thing. Only issue is there is no fuel station near by to my knowledge.
  18. I used to game ALOT. Then I discovered I'm in a better mood if I spend that time into the garage or the gym.
  19. Too bad you don't have a street bike to make more memories....
  20. It is also right across the street from a gas station. Here is what is looks like.
  21. I don't know if the park people would let them keep the trailers there.
  22. Anyway we could meet at big muskie? Biggest issue would be parking, but they have a shelter with tables.
