Terry's Custom seats out of Tennessee. I've never seen and FJR seat done by him, but I've seen some others and I was really impressed. I considered a Laam but heard too many horror stories of waiting to get the seat back. A Russell was out of my price range.
Today marks 3 full months of my new lifestyle change. I am 30 lbs lighter, I have more strength and muscle, and I have more energy. Next goal is to be down another 30 lbs by the gap trip.
I sat on the BMW Nine-T Racer with the bubble fairing. I loved the looks of the bike since it's release, but after sitting on it, the desire to own one has went out the window. Very awkward feeling and the balance just didn't feel right.
Just got home from the show. 3 hour drive each way. It was an ok show. Sat on more bikes than I normally do. I really like the feel of that Super Duke GT. I don't see 2 bikes in my near future though.
He might come back, but he will most likely fail again. The reputation has be tarnished too much. Who buys a bike not knowing if they will even be in business 12 months from release?
Having a newer bike definitely has it's advantages (Fuel injection, ABS hopefully, and less maintenance to worry about), but the insurance also cost more than an older bike.
I bike looks good, but keep in mind. It's 15 years old, so be prepared to do some maintenance work. At the end of the day, no ones opinion matters except yours, because you're riding it.
The guy actually rode it to our shop, and he claimed it rode fine. I have my doubts though. You can visually tell the front end was not straight. The bars hit the stops on the triple trees so hard, it sheared them off allowing the bars to rotate into the tank.
