  1. The person doing the wheelie may not kill me but I don't want to live with the fact that when I ran over his body as you mentioned he was killed. No thanks.
  2. That looks good. The wheels really made a difference in appearance.
  3. I plan to be in on this again this year. I rode with Helmutt last year during the spring and had a blast. I'd be glad to ride in his group again or a med-fast group because I know he brings a crew with him as it is.
  4. That's awesome that you're back to riding again. Sharp looking bike. I too took a break from riding. Got my 1st bike when I was 19. Rode for about 6 yrs then after my second born child my wife said time to get rid of it. 10 yrs later she said I'd be okay with you getting another bike. In less than a month there was an F4i in the garage and I was back at it. Not sure what your experience will be but for me it's been a second chance and I ride more now than I ever did. This includes the best trip I ever had last year to the Dragon. Hope you enjoy it as much as I have.

    Hellmutt bday

Happy Birthday. Hope you enjoy your day.
  6. What I see there is a manipulation of numbers. Not sure I buy what those reports are selling. I know there are breaks and such but I'm not sure there are that many breaks. My thoughts are if it was that good and people could get away with paying no taxes we would have a lot more companies staying in the states. I'm sure the article I quoted may have something stretched as well But it did start to go in detail about how they came up with those figures. https://www.washingtonpost.com/news/wonk/wp/2014/12/11/burger-king-could-save-a-whopping-amount-of-money-by-moving-to-canada/
  7. As far as people wanting to work. Not sure I agree with the post saying that they want to. I see a lot of laziness as a teacher, and as a coach. Kids are not taught the value of hard work and are often soft because too often they are just handed things. I blame poor parenting. I have to check my self at times as a parent. I want my kids to have a good life, but I don't want them to develop the entitled attitude many have. I grew up knowing the value of what it meant to work hard and earn what you wanted. This is the reason my kids now have steers they take to our fair so I can teach them what hard work is all about.
  8. OK been following this topic and by no means do I claim to be an expert nor do I have the answers. What continues to stick in my mind, however, is the money Burger King saved by relocating its headquarters to Canada. According to the Washington Post they stand to save 1.2 billion dollars in taxes by relocating to Canada. They went from being taxed nearly 40% in the states to just over 26% in Canada. It is no wonder companies move out. Our tax laws are jacked. I worked construction for my dad when I was in college and a few summers after as well. He basically payed me as I was a self employed sub-contractor. I was being taxed 30% of my income. That was rough. Would have been tough making a living make $15 an hour and being taxed at that rate.
  9. Not sure what Nissans you're talking about. I had a 96 and 04 Altima both were over 10 years oldwhen I got rid of them, 04 had 230k and only rust on either was over passenger rear wheel. Have an 07 maxima now w/ no rust.

As an educator tonik I would pretty much agree with you. Often the kids that cause trouble are the ones who are not well off financially. When you speak of getting educated they think you're crazy because they don't know any better since their parents didn't. Grant it I teach in a decent public school but I still see what you're talking about. I have been teaching 17 years now & have no answers to the problem, so I feel you might be correct in stating we are screwed
  11. Thanks Tonik that works awesome. Not sure why everyone talks about you being full of hate.
  12. On the mobile version how do you make it so when you click on a thread it goes to the last post you read?
  13. I had my right knee done last year in December. I have had ups and downs over the past year. My biggest problem is my knee continues to swell but I also push it at times. I had the surgery primarily so I could still ride my quad. I did get back on the quad this summer and was able to do everything I did in the past on it including 30 to 40 foot jumps. I also had the surgery so I could get back to playing basketball, that has not happened however. It is been over year and I still struggle with running there are times I can do it but often I cannot. Two weeks after the surgery however I was walking without crutches. I never really had a extreme pain but my pain comes from when my knee swells I lose mobility/range of motion.

    Quad $2500

I had a similar situation. Traded F4i for kfx450r. Title on F4i had $300 so that was what I put on quad title. Got something in mail that said dealership price was valued at $5500 and I needed to pay difference. Something about cash/work/trade had to be included in price. I filled out paper explaining I traded bike and if they wanted to talk dealership prices then they would have to price replacing all fairings to bring bike to dealer value. I called # on paper and explained all this and guy had me fax paper and that was last I heard of it.
  16. Not that anyone is keeping tabs, but we too hav 1 account. Real question MichaelS is where is this checking account? What kind of interest do u get?
  17. I put a tender on the battery and start it once maybe twice a month and let it get up to operating temp. Clean of course and chain lubed well to avoid corrosion. Ready to ride any chance I get.
  18. That was cool stuff
  19. If u don't have to watch it live the night of the event you can usually watch it within a day or two on a website www.dailymotion.com/cbmracing. It's what I usually do because I don't want to stay up so late. Guy usually records and posts video by Monday for sure
  20. Thanks for the advice guys. I went ahead and ran the padding thru washer today. So they have been hand washed & ran thru the washer. That's as clean as they're gonna get. Maybe next year I'll try the car wash thing IP. Little too cold for me right now.
  21. They've held up fine, haven't had any issues of any sort? Do you put them on normal cycle delicate cycle? Do you wash them with other things or totally separately?
