  1. Not a bad deal since invoice is close to $20k and they are offering a $2k REBATE on them so.....$18k is good!
  2. My post was based on a NEW vehicle only. If you are looking at USED, that is another world completly. You need to know what they paid for it and what they need out of it. If it has been sitting a while sometimes they will come off more or if it was traded in for BELOW book value they have more $$$ to work with. Then again KBB or edmunds is your friend. You need to find out what it is worth before you bargain anything. A high demand car that they can make a large profit off of means that they are less likely to deal. Be very careful with USED cars though because you know nothing about there past. It may be a LEMON that they got from the auction. To many different scenarios but if you are willing to play the odds, it may work out in your favor $$$$ wise.
  3. I actually like it minus the EL Camino front end...
  4. You are missing the point. The older CBR's are much better bikes than even the newest Katana's. As for your other comment, if you put enough money in anything it will be fast. Which one is going to be more reliable and worth more when you go to sell it? Funny how a 96 CBR is worth almost as much as a 02 Katana, that right there should tell you something... Plus the older CBR is comfy. They weren't nearly the purpose built racers that the newer models are. I'll take the CBR for an 8-hour ride before the Katana... :grin2:
  5. Have you ridden a Katana? They are the biggest POS ever made. Out of these 2, it isn't even a comparison. That's like saying which is better a Cavalier or a 325i. Plus the early year Katana's had a cooling problem in the head and would overheat in traffic. CBR.....ALL THE WAY! :grin2:
  6. It has nothing to do with that.... You need to know what INVOICE price on the car is and if they have any incentives or rebates going on the car. Go to http://www.edmunds.com and look all of that info up. Your best offer should be $500 over invoice and NOT A PENNY more. If they have rebates, then that comes off of the invoice price. So in your case... MSRP is $35,150. Invoice = $31,733 http://www.edmunds.com/new/2006/honda/s2000/100652271/optionsresults.html?action=2 They have NO rebates or incentives so your best bet is around $32,233 for what your shooting for + Tax/Title/License, etc.... Many dealers will do $500 over invoice with NO questions asked. Just shopping around is the key. You may have to go to Indy, Dayton, Cincy, Cleve, etc... but a 3-hour drive could be worth $2k+ in savings.
  7. Since when did 10's in the 1/4-mile and 253mph top speed become slow?
  8. I'd say Dyno Brian or Brock in Dayton. TREES? WTF are TREES?
  9. No offense but I wouldn't be buying anything cheap that is going on your head....
  10. There are exceptions to the later AWD TURBO rule. For instance the GT1 & GT2 are both TURBO but only RWD.
  11. True but they call it a prototype because things are still subject to change...
  12. Not true! Only the later model ones....
  13. I actually liked the way it looked on the outside. Until I got up close and really looked at it and sat inside. I quickly changed my thoughts on it. I think the Dodge NITRO looks much better but I didn't get to see the inside at the Autoshow..... A SUV that I am very impressed with and would actually think about buying if it comes out is the Acura RDX.... http://www.acura.com/index.aspx?initPath=RDXPrototype_Explore_RDXPrototype_Gallery
  14. This is the preview to Kings of Street but NO BUSA is going 240mph. 187mph tops when the NOS Viper goes by.... http://www.nickslick.com/videos/kingsofstreet.wmv This is the other video you guys are looking for with the 800rwhp Viper -vs- all of the bikes.... Enjoy... http://www.gigatechsoftware.com/cars/VIPER-race-small.wmv
  15. File a complaint against the officer. It will be on his record for life. But I wouldn't wait another second. You have to do that ASAP.
  16. Where did you get the info on these cars? Just curious because that looks like the 800+whp TURBO Porsche from the (Ex Gary Javo) Viper video. If this is the same RX-7 that I am thinkin of, it has a lot more done than you think.
  17. Brian, I would recommend calling the local DMV office that you are going to take the test at. A lot of places have different requirements and it is best to hear it straight from them.
  18. Unfor people go down there and act like complete idiots in and out of the bars. Then they leave the party and get on a bike without a helmet and those are the results. When will people learn....!?!
  19. +1 If you don't get any results in your pursuit, I would take it down to her level. I would in a nice way either leave her a note or show her in a lawful way that she needs to cut that shit out now. Otherwise, life seems to come back and bite people like that so don't even let it bother you....
  20. Does Ohio not allow you to fix the problem within 30-days? In Texas, all you had to do was put the plate on and take a picture of it to the court or the clerk. Once they verified that it was on there, they would dismiss the ticket.
  21. My bad, I posted the wrong one. I can't get the other to load up but the CD can be had here along with some of his other videos. http://www.nickslick.com/index.asp?PageAction=Custom&ID=2 See..... http://www.fulltiltlife.com/ for the Kings of Street and other great films...
  22. The intakes open and close for more air as speed increases. It's kind of like the wings on the old Carrera and newer Turbo/GT2, etc....
  23. This one.....? http://www.nickslick.com/nico/movies/4thsmall.wmv
  24. I depends on the gloves but you need to check what's under the carbon/kevlar, etc...for added protection. The biggest thing is padded fingers and the stitching. Most of the problems I have seen after someone has gone down are with the fingers coming apart. It depends on the brand but generally the more you pay the better they are going be but once again that depends on the brand....
