Where are you getting these loan rates? They haven't been that good in a year or so for credit unions. You are looking at 5.49%+ now days.... The manufactor cards are a joke unless you pay it off in a year. You are looking at 20%+ after the time frame and other attached fees for not paying it off in the 1-2 year requirement.

What kind of Vette are we talking about here? Sounds like a basic C5R(block)-427-TT motor, Lingenfelter I am guessing!?!!? What's the deal besides him not racing anyone?

You forgot the gas gussler tax of $1,300. ($43,200) Many people are getting them for MSRP. Look on any of the stang sites. (modularfords, svtperf, stangnet, etc....) This car will be had for under MSRP in 6-8 months period. Just like the FORD GT only the first idiots on the block are paying the premium. Now you can buy GT's for INVOICE!

US Air Force, Air Traffic Control! I previously capped it out at $60k and they just raised the cap to $90k. It still isn't worth it considering what you make on the outside. The biggest thing for me is family. I just got married last July and am deployed again over our 1-yr anniversary. It sucks big time and I'm not going to do it once we start a family. I won't miss child births or birthday's and other important times of the year with them growing up. I just don't see how these guys want to go back two and three times for a deployment for an extra $600 a month maybe $1k tops with tax free. Ya....the shit is fun when you are single and have nothing better to do but damn it gets old quick.

As far as deployed locations, you can volunteer for them but chances are not good. YOU GO WHERE THEY NEED YOU NOT WHERE "YOU" WANT! Does he have any family or plan to? He really needs to think long and hard what he wants in life. I'm coming up on 8-years and won't re-enlist. It's just not worth it to me anymore and our bonus is $90k. Josh

The drive isn't bad at all. Man a lot of you must NEVER do road trips..... I took the trip for like 6-summers straight (Texas-to-Iowa-to-Oregon and back) when I was younger. If you have two drivers, it's even easier. I would recommend renting a car so you don't have to take your own. That's some serious mileage to rack up and if your car isn't in good shape, it isn't worth it. You can rent a car for between $200-300 for a week with unlimited mileage. Make sure you get the unlimited mileage... If you plan your trip right, you can see a lot of cool stuff on the way. I would also recommend getting out to the Oregon sand dunes and renting some 4-wheelers. That's a fun time launching the dunes....

How long has this been happening and does it do it often? Does it pop or bang in/out of gear a lot? What kind of riding do you do and do you ride it rough or anything? You may have a bent shift shaft fork or something inside if it does it all the time. If it's only once in a while it's probably just your shifting style. P.S.....Why are you using the handlebar shift lever when taking it to redline or anywhere close to it?

My BUSA with the same coverage was $260 for 6-months......$250 deductable. Congrat's on the new toy! If Suzuki will ever come out with a new BUSA, maybe we can get together when I return to the US.

You can get a heck of a lot better bike for $4k than a 97 YZF 1000.... It's going to be easier for you to get a loan on a new bike than the 97 anyway. Plus your interest rate will be better "if you can get the loan." I don't know what kind of credit you have or income, etc.... Before you do any of that, CALL AND GET A INSURANCE QUOTE!

We go through this every year with whatever the latest and greatest happens to be (or the media hypes up to be regardless if it is or not). Only the IDIOTS with money growing on trees are paying those prices. Every other joe waits about 6-months when the hype dies down and the dealers are sitting on them for (6-months) and reality sets in. Then you will be able to buy them for below MSRP just like "EVERY" other FORD on the lot and yes even the Ford GT's sold for under MSRP (and still are)....
