  1. Lemosley01, That is the first article I have seen running anything faster than a 9.8. But it is still apples and oranges when it comes to magazine tests. But those are just excuses, sure the BUSA will probably loose "STOCK!" Which IMO, will be a great day because then maybe Suzuki will get off there lazy asses and do something with the BUSA. It has only been the same for 8-years now with still ZERO performance improvements..... But I still don't think the 14 is that impressive other than a few new cool dash features. They are still running the same times with light mods that the BUSA runs. When it comes to TURBO, they have NO chance. Plus with it being the new kid on the block the dealers want TOP DOLLAR for them. :thumbdown Whatever floats your boat though....my BUSA sure as hell isn't worried about any little ZX-14R....
  2. It wasn't going into gear all the way. It was a know problem on the 01's so they extended the warranty on ALL of the cars to 7-yr/100k miles. The Dayton Acura dealer replaced it under warranty. Everything works perfect on it. A/C blows cold and everything. I would recommend getting the updated CD for the NAV since it doesn't show a lot of the new back roads. It's around $180 from Honda....
  3. I've had USAA insurance in my own name since turning 18. No wrecks, 1-ticket on my record and have my cars and renters through them. It has been around $265 since I was 21.... Check the BUSA boards, it is pretty common. State Farm seams to be the next best thing and then some of the private company's are getting close to the same price. Stay away from GEICO, Progressive, etc.... Just make sure you say GSX1300R and NOT GSXR. As soon as they hear GSXR they take you out of the touring class....
  4. Any proof!?!!? I have seen all the dragbike, psycobike, sportrider, etc...articles and have yet to see anything faster than they ran a BUSA even from Ricky G and Ryan. Modded and the gloves come off but still, considering the 14 has another 50cc and a longer wheelbase plus other upgrades it shouldn't even be comparable.... Yet they are running identical times as a BUSA with the same mods.....
  5. My BUSA is under $300 for 6-months FULL COVERAGE! John, What mods on the 14? The problem with them is they have the same terrible frame design as the 12 so it makes sealing them for a TURBO HELL. Plus they are the new kid on the block. I know I don't want to be the one doing all the R&D for what works and what doesn't. Pretty much all of that has been sorted on the BUSA so you know what works.... Not to mention you can pick up a NEW BUSA for around $9,800 OTD and the 14 is closer to $12k OTD.
  6. It's all hype so far IMO. I have yet to see a non-factory rider get a good time with one. Even at the press release they were running low-10's stock. It took a pro to get in the 9's and even modded it isn't setting the world on fire. A BUSA will still blow it off the road when it comes to TURBO's and serious mods.... I would either get a liter bike for the summer or wait on the 07' BUSA....
  7. I'll try and get some pics up tomorrow (at work right now). It gets 22-city/29-hwy which is around 320/430 a tank. The car must go so, I'll make somebody a great deal. *EDIT PICS WOULDN'T FIT IN TOP POST* http://i4.photobucket.com/albums/y128/GotBusa/Car%20pics/PICT0107.jpg Only major interior flaw is the drivers bolster... http://i4.photobucket.com/albums/y128/GotBusa/Car%20pics/PICT0117.jpg Exterior flaws are passenger door ding... http://i4.photobucket.com/albums/y128/GotBusa/Car%20pics/PICT0116.jpg And paint chips on the front left corner (will take money off for repair)... http://i4.photobucket.com/albums/y128/GotBusa/Car%20pics/PICT0127.jpg http://i4.photobucket.com/albums/y128/GotBusa/Car%20pics/PICT0120.jpg http://i4.photobucket.com/albums/y128/GotBusa/Car%20pics/PICT0142.jpg http://i4.photobucket.com/albums/y128/GotBusa/Car%20pics/PICT0118.jpg

  9. So what happened, couldn't tell at the end....?
  10. I remember filling up my Cobra for under $20 back in 97/98. I think it was around .96-.99 a gallon.
  11. http://www.edmunds.com/used/2002/subaru/impreza/100002233/options.html?tmvaction=vdpresult $10,800 - $12,500 according to Edmunds but it's got high mileage and AUTO sucks donkey on a WRX....
  12. Mine didn't drop any but I also got married a month after. So my bike insurance went up $16 bucks...WTF!!?!?
  13. No PDA GPS for me but I use a Garmin eTrex for top speed runs. It's great for only $99 at Wal-mart and a true speed reading since the POS stocker isn't even close to accurate... What are you going to be using it for? Are you primarily doing time, speed, distance, etc...calculations or do you plan to use it as NAV? I would spend the money and get a better one if you do long trips and need the NAV. Otherwise you can't beat the cheaper ones for the functions. What does the upgrade run for your PDA?
  14. Have you seen the entire video? That is one of the scariest things I have seen in a school. The room was full of kids and they start freaking out. He then picks up a bigger gun and everyone starts to leave. Funny stuff but scary....
  15. I got a OEM BT56 for $15 less than anywhere online. I thought there tire prices were pretty damn good.
  16. I have heard of several people with this problem. As for the 20k Cobra's, that is what has killed the car IMO. They are no longer a small nich of vehicles like the pre-03 cars of 5k or less a year. They bumped production way up and killed resale value.....
  17. There are actually some in the 9's! Congrat's! Brings back memories as I had one exactly like it...
  18. The link has sale history from LAST April when they started hitting the lots....
  19. Only the first idiot on the block would ever pay those prices. You just have to shop around.... http://www.fordgtprices.com/pages/9/index.htm Many are going for UNDER invoice now.
  20. Just keep calling around and see what you can do. I would recommend USAA but if you aren't military or already have a motorcycle policy, they won't cover you. I have only paid around $600 a year for full coverage 50k/100k/50k with $250 deductable since I was 21. The funny thing is when I got married the BUSA went up $16....!?!?! Makes no sense at all. I forgot who all the carriers were but find one that does it on the class and not the CC. A lot of places consider the BUSA a sport touring bike and it is MUCH....MUCH....less than any other GSXR model. Most other places hear 1299cc and just laugh. Another thing is they want all your business to cut you a rate on a bike. So you will probably have to switch everything (car, truck, renters, etc.) to get the rate. Good luck and don't give up on a deal.
  21. Sounds like they are talking about V6 cars based on the times and not a GT at all. Head change in 02, idiots...
  22. The MSF course will give you a discount but I don't really know how much. What is your insurance on the BUSA (what co.)? Mine isn't bad at all for full coverage...
  23. I would have gone to another DMV office if they were telling you that BS. Otherwise how is the MSF valid in both states if you HAVE TO TAKE IT IN MD for it to be placed on your license??? MD doesn't make sense... Once again it depends on the state reference the endorsement transfering. I had to take the written test again for car and motorcycle in Oregon when I already had a Texas license with BOTH endorsements that were current. But in Ohio and Mississippi I didn't.....hmmm....!?!? They don't always transfer, every state is different....
  24. If you have been on the Autobahn, you would know why there is such a high demand for these cars. People want something they can drive every day but still haul ass or go to the track on the weekends "if they want to." Why do you think the EVO, STi, etc....are so popular!?!!? Considering what some of these gas guzzling SUV/Trucks are costing these days, this car is a bargain. However, the resale value on any Cady will keep me from buying regardless of how fast it is....
