No offense to anyone on here since you guys are doing what you feel is best for your kids down the road but..... ....every kid I know that had a college fund was a complete idiot in college and pretty much pissed it ALL away. Every single person I know that has had to work hard to get through college and PAID for it themselves, did a lot better in school and has become a much wiser person IMO. Your really not doing them any favors giving them a hand out or at least letting them know it's there when they graduate High school. Keep it quiet until they can appreciate what they are working for and understand how to work hard and strive to get where they want in life. Then if they EARN a scholarship you and the wife can take the long awaited (kids have gone to college) vacation and get that little HOT ROD you have been dreaming about as you approach your late 40's!

Normally I would agree with everyone else but I will go out on a limb and say that the "NEW" 06 R6 will probably rewrite the rules for 600cc bikes again this year. It has more trick parts and goodies on it from the factory than any other bike right now, even the liter bikes. If your going to stay with a 600 I would buy one of those. However you can get the NEW GSXR-750 which will probably be a tad quicker (straight line) than it. But for that kind of money, why would you not buy a 1000cc or bigger bike? If I didn't have my BUSA I would go with a 06 GSXR-1000 or 06 R1 LE. Otherwise, I would just wait and get the new rumored BUSA in 07 if it ever comes out.

You can use it pretty quick really esp with the new VIDEO Ipods that just came out. You can put movies, TV shows, pictures, music, etc....on it. So ya....that can burn up 60 gigs easy. It's pretty cool actually!

I don't think that's the case for everyone or at least it wasn't for me. I got married and turned 25 within a month and my rate didn't change any on my 25th B-day. In fact it went up $16 because of my wife possibly being a passsenger now (like she wasn't before) once we were married.

Jeep was never part of Mitsubishi. Chrysler just had a joint operation with Mitsui during the Eclipse/Talon and Stealth/3000GT years. They shared electronics and engines on several other model lines but was never under Mitsubishi what so ever. DaimlerChrysler owns-> Maybach, Mercedes, Smart....Chrysler-> Dodge, Chrysler, Jeep....-> Setra, Freightliner, Sterling, Western Star, Fuso, etc... (No longer Lamborghini) General Motors-> Chevrolet, Pontiac, Buick, Cadillac, GMC, Oldsmobile, Saturn, Hummer, Saab, Holden, Opel, Vauxhaull, Isuzu, Suzuki, etc... Ford Motor Co.-> Ford, Lincoln, Mercury, Mazda, Volvo, Jaguar, Land Rover, Aston Martin, etc..

I still don't believe it. I think it's going to get worse before it gets better. This may be true for the reserve/guard guys but not the active duty side of the house.

It isn't going to matter but which SALEEN model are you talking about. Considering you can't even get into a base model SALEEN (GT w/body kit) for $35,000. I would say the Cobra wins on that alone. I don't know what he is smoking considering the stock 03/04 Cobra owns the GT base SALEEN. The COBRA wins bang for buck hands down. Just smack him for the rest of us please....

Your best bet is to take these questions over to the http://www.mach1registry.com/ They are a lot more knowledgable and won't be giving you a lot of incorrect info which I see in some of the posts above. Don't be fooled by the dyno numbers with basic mods. They have been know to go 11's with just bolt-ons. Slap some spray on it and go for low 11's/high 10's. Lots of people have Nitrous, supercharger and Turbos on them without any problems. It's no different than the pre-03 cobra's. It's all in the tune. Once again, http://www.mach1registry.com/ is your friend and FORGET about a GT when you have a Mach 1 in mind.

Mach 1 by far the way to go. Besides all of the noticable differences, the Mach's usually put down almost 80rwhp more than a GT. Plus they have a lot more potential than a GT for the basic mods. The Mach's are also limited numbers versus the GT's being dime a dozen considering how many Mach's they produced. They are even more RARE than the 03/04 Cobra's. Lots more but I don't have time right now to post....
