I'd say all those listed are junk. If I had to buy one of those it would be the Focus but only if it were 100% perfect, needed nothing and had low miles... Hate to say it but using a student loan is a fail waiting to happen. Either buy a $500 beater and save up to pay cash or don't waste your time on a junk car that probably won't last you two years...

That looks like a cool and fun car. Scott, You've got some cool stuff also and great that you are down to earth about them.

Not as good as I hoped. I ran into some issues on Saturday and the lines were beyond stupid. Waited 3 1/2 hours to make my first run and the bike stalled and died 500' of the line... Finally got some runs in on Sunday but they wouldn't count my Texas license so I had to start from the bottom and work my way up. 150, 175, 200, etc...ended up running a very slow....204.5 pass as the last run of the event. Missed my class record by .02mph... Had fun, learned and little, was safe and saw some folks so really it was a great weekend other than the issues!

Wish I would have known you were racing, I would have come to say hello.

I'd say NO to the Toyota, Pontiac, and Mitsubishi....if you need more room I'd stick with the larger models of those choices..

2003-2008+ Subaru Forester would be a better buy in that price range. I wouldn't buy anything from Mitsubishi in that class... Are you doing a cash buy or finance or what?

You need to sitdown with someone on here and get educated on the process. You are still looking at it from the wrong angle. What kind of car do you want/need? You need to look at the book and market value. Just because they are asking $9k doesn't mean the car is worth near that. Be very careful in that price range because you can very well end up with a piece of crap that you will regret. Maybe you should post your needs and people can give you options...

Sounds like you found a great dealer. It's been the same for me just like when I bought my '03 Cobra. I can travel and find a dealer willing to deal pretty easy but a lot in Houston want stupid ADM's on them... :lolguy: I like all of them just can't decide. I LOVE the GTR's but it seems everyone I know that has bought one and modded it, sold it soon after. I really like the new Vipers but waiting to hear how they perform on the street. Not to mention ADM's are going to be just silly when they are available. So I keep looking at the '13-14 GT500 that I can get my kids in the back seat... Or I just need to move to the country and build a nice shop like you have. Is that a 30x60 setup?

Wow! I feel old reading some of these responses.... I was in the military working at Columbus AFB RAPCON when I got a message over the printer saying to "stop all departures and land all aircraft immediately!" We called Memphis Center to see WTF was going on. Soon after I walked through the break room and saw the second plane hit.... I'll never forget that day. I still remember Memphis and Atlanta calling to ask if we had room to put aircraft on the military base...
