  1. If its really that quick, GM just shot themselves in the foot IMO...
  2. I wouldn't use Chase or any of those national banks.... USAA, PenFed, WPCU, or a local credit union will get my business before ANY of those previously mentioned...
  3. It doesn't have anything to do with buying a manual, that is fine but to totally disregard all other options because its an auto is silly. My concern is you/her buying a USED $40k car that may or may not be at the top of your budget with mileage that puts it nearly out of warranty. That is just crazy IMO but feel free to do what you wish. I don't know what your finances look like and its not my business but what I'm gathering so far I would NEVER recommend someone to do. Not to mention Jones S4 would be a MUCH better buy than anything listed yet auto, manual, whatever...
  4. This makes about as much sense as you paying $40k for a USED car with 50k-miles for your WIFE to use as a DD.... :dumb:
  5. Why are you so hard up for a manual? I wouldn't even consider a manual for a DD or your wife. DSG is a million times better for the application you would be using it... I would SERIOUSLY consider Jones car, might be a perfect time for you to pickup a nice S4 that's very quick at the right price...
  6. I like the car just can't believe what they are asking for them...
  7. Unless you are paying cash, it make no sense. Hate to say it but you might be kicking yourself over this purchase.
  8. Exactly,...I just don't see the point in spending big money on something that is going to get beat up and miles like crazy to/from work. That's why I had a TSX beater for work. Now I'm using my wife's previous BMW that's been paid for for years... Even more of a reason NOT spend $40k+ on a used car that will be a DD...
  9. I think you would be crazy to spend $40k on a DD car that is at the end of its warranty or 40k+ miles. Get something more in your price range or find something newer/lower miles...
  10. Thank you everyone! She's so tiny its hard to even believe she's that little. She's doing great though and quite the trooper so far. I'll get some better pics, these are just cell phone snaps from last night...
  11. As cool as the cars are, they just don't get my blood flowing. I see them a LOT where I live and among the uber rich they are just to common and lose the appeal IMO. Other than just showing off and giving the "you have money to completely flush down the toilet status" they aren't really that impressive (other than the Bugatti IMO). The Maybach has always been a stretched and tweaked S-class to me and Bentley/Rolls are regular cars around here. Maybe I'm just not a car guy like I was when I was younger, or my tastes/perspective has changed a LOT after seeing them often...
  12. For a DD, NEW not used with all those requirements.... TL-SH 6-speed 328i or 328xi ....and you can SELL the Civic and Element!
  13. Just wanted to let everyone know what I've been up to since I haven't been racing or posting much... This little bug arrived 6-weeks early.... Feb 15 @ 1738 Shelby Hope 4lbs. 15oz. almost 18" I've been in the NICU a lot lately, her and momma are doing GREAT! Thank you for the thoughts and prayers, hope everyone is doing well!
  14. What kind of dash cam setups are people using? I see a lot of these lately, just wondering what they cost and where they get them?
  15. Looks great, glad to see the wrap gone. Keep up the good work...
  16. Nope, first thing you sign before the car goes on the dyno says they are NOT responsible for anything that happens to the car on the dyno. IE...it blows, launches, whatever....you are SOL!
  17. I'll be out whenever we move back to Ohio...
  18. +1 But then again, I don't like either...
  19. Call and report them,....PERIOD!
  20. You're going to need more than that for 700hp... If you plan to DD and drag it, I would seriously get the auto over the manul.
  21. The Gen-1's should be $17-24k depending how low of miles you want and how clean. The only complaints I've ever heard were the rear end on the early models and the plastic interior. Otherwise, its a pretty fun car for what it is... Heck, you can buy the Gen-2's ALL DAY in the $40k's and if you get a higher mileage one they are in the $30k's now with zero haggling. http://www.autotrader.com/fyc/vdp.jsp?ct=u&car_id=314669564&dealer_id=342884&car_year=2009&model=CTS&pager.offset=50&search_lang=en&start_year=2008&keywordsfyc=__Q1RTLVY%2C__&keywordsrep=067084083045086&scarid=309918140&search_type=both&distance=0&rdm=1328157006397&marketZipError=false&advanced=y&keywords_display=CTS-V&lastBeginningStartYear=1981&end_year=2013&showZipError=y&engine=8+Cylinder&dma=HOUSTON_NE&page_location=findacar%3A%3Aispsearchform&body_code=0&first_record=51&isFlashPlugin=true&default_sort=priceDESC&address=77304&sort_type=priceDESC&max_price=59000&make=CAD&seller_type=b&num_records=25&cardist=46&standard=false http://www.autotrader.com/fyc/vdp.jsp?ct=u&car_id=311988675&dealer_id=66123493&car_year=2009&model=CTS&pager.offset=100&search_lang=en&start_year=2008&keywordsfyc=__Q1RTLVY%2C__&keywordsrep=067084083045086&scarid=309918140&search_type=both&distance=0&rdm=1328157006397&marketZipError=false&advanced=y&keywords_display=CTS-V&lastBeginningStartYear=1981&end_year=2013&showZipError=y&engine=8+Cylinder&dma=HOUSTON_NE&page_location=findacar%3A%3Aispsearchform&body_code=0&first_record=101&isFlashPlugin=true&default_sort=priceDESC&address=77304&sort_type=priceDESC&max_price=59000&make=CAD&seller_type=b&num_records=25&cardist=1150&standard=false
