The bike Billy is riding has been 220+ in the 1/2 (278mph 1-mile) but he's still getting use to it and its not turned up all the way. But yes, the new cars are flying if you don't bring your A game... Very carefully! That Ford GT is the current record car at Beeville running 257mph at the last 1-mile event. You'd have to ask Jamie what the exact combo that Peter and SW are running. I know Peter said he could run more boost but he was spinning down low that day. My understanding is those cars really eat from 1/2 - 3/4...

I wouldn't even waste your time. If you seriously aren't going to live there the rest of your life....you will NEVER get the money back that you plan/think/want to put into it making it yours, garage/house addition, etc.. Buy/Build exactly what YOU want the first time and don't even mess around with someone elses old heap that you'll have to change anyway.

No one pays sticker, if he's not getting it for close to invoice...$42k loaded or $40k base....walk away...

That's actually one of the best R6's they made and honestly its better than the current R6 for the street. However, like others have said....rebuild title and everything that bike is probably worth $2,500 even $3k is a stretch for it. Fact is older sportbikes just don't bring any money....you are talking a few hundred difference between that and a perfect, unwrecked bike with zero issues...

What's a few grand when you are spending $40k. I'd rather pay more for a low mileage perfect car than a hair less for a high-mileage questionable one...

They are already everywhere down here (then again our weather is nicer year round). Just look at the C5Z's for reference....

Where are you looking? Seems to be plenty of inventory....personally I would wait until the C7 is released. Prices will drop like crazy once they are out...

I couldn't have said it better! Get the right job and you are set. Some very sweet gigs around. I try to tell these guys enlisting but they think blowing shit up is more cool. I tell them, you'll feel a lot cooler when you get out and instead of making $20k a year you are making $20k a month... A $30-90k sign on bonus is NOTHING in a few years...

That's with virtually every option and many of those features the competition doesn't even offer in that class. Even then $49k is MSRP, no one pays that unless they are an idiot....closer to low-$40k's is more realistic or even upper $30k's VERY well equipped (not every option)...

C&D times are corrected for weather and elevation, not a true time... I was talking about the ZL1 and those times aren't exactly normal... They have been for a few weeks...

Has a private owner even been able to match GM's times? I haven't seen one yet...
