  1. I didn't get the good camera out so these are my quick point and shoot pics... http://i4.photobucket.com/albums/y128/GotBusa/Texas%20Mile%20Oct%202011/IMG_0923.jpg http://i4.photobucket.com/albums/y128/GotBusa/Texas%20Mile%20Oct%202011/IMG_0924.jpg http://i4.photobucket.com/albums/y128/GotBusa/Texas%20Mile%20Oct%202011/IMG_0925.jpg http://i4.photobucket.com/albums/y128/GotBusa/Texas%20Mile%20Oct%202011/IMG_0926.jpg http://i4.photobucket.com/albums/y128/GotBusa/Texas%20Mile%20Oct%202011/IMG_0927.jpg http://i4.photobucket.com/albums/y128/GotBusa/Texas%20Mile%20Oct%202011/IMG_0928.jpg http://i4.photobucket.com/albums/y128/GotBusa/Texas%20Mile%20Oct%202011/IMG_0929.jpg http://i4.photobucket.com/albums/y128/GotBusa/Texas%20Mile%20Oct%202011/IMG_0930.jpg
  2. Looks like fun even if they need some driving lessons.... .....then again, I wouldn't be doing digs with AWD 1,000whp cars either...
  3. I'd have her buy something she can pay cash for...
  4. What are your plans for it? Is the Boxter paid for? You could get into a used C6 Z06 like everyone else for that price...
  5. I just stick with the standard size tire but you can bump up to a 55-series if you want a little more MPH for your gearing. You can run a 200 if you want but you'd have to measure overall diameter and see what it changes on the gearing. If it flattens out and changes your gearing it might hurt you more than it helps. Also if its a lot heavier that can change things to. C16 should be fine if you are tuned properly, if you are running pump gas then I would add meth but probably don't need both for 300whp... There are lots of good name brand tire choices, I would just stay away from Shinko. Make sure they are heat cycled a few times or get a tire warmer for extra safety if you are worried. Just make sure you DO NOT run a plugged/patched tire and I wouldn't even ride it on the street before a race personally. Looks like the ECTA website is down today as they transition to Wilmington from Maxton info. They will send you a rule book when you join. I believe you have to do a 150, 175, and 200 to get the A-class license (maybe even 135 also). That's my only complaint is you spend the first day just getting a license to run the speed you want but they have to keep it safe for insurance purposes... Its a fun event so even if you don't run 200mph, there are plenty of cool things to check out and watch while you are there. Bring the family and everyone you know... Its hard to explain because LSR is like nothing else and the high is unexplainable until you just do it. People that HATE 1/4-mile get a entirely new respect for speed when you race 1-MILE! I'd say it's like comparing Auto-X to running the Nurburgring.... You are barely scratching the surface. People think, how hard is it to just floor the gas or twist the throttle, well guess what it's not that easy to go FAST! Uh NO.....but if you are at Texas this weekend you may see a bike break 300MPH...
  6. Present... http://www.columbusracing.com/forums/../ubb/wink.gif Let me know if you have any other questions or need any help. I hope to be at one of the OHIO races this year but don't know if I'll make the first event....
  7. There are three RuF models so far but have a feeling it will change...
  8. I hope the people that voted for him are drinking there medicine...
  9. I picked it up yesterday and its not bad. Wish you could see stats on the level up cars before buying/selecting....otherwise it's been great so far. They still need to add a LOT of other cool/rare cars. They don't need 20 different types of Civic's... :dumb: You don't have to pay. If you have an online account just change the setting to FREE account and you can download all day without having an active LIVE account...
  10. I know all about it, my brother is on his fourth 7-series... I like the V12 more but for DD and maintenance the E38 M62 is fine. Unless you are straight HWY, your MPG results may vary...
  11. 28mpg on the hwy? Nice car but it's getting to where it's going to need a bunch of stuff with those miles. I hope the previous owner did a LOT of that for you...
  12. I wouldn't have like it more with a 6-speed...
  13. YEP....I would avoid it like the plague. Security is retarded and once you are in you can't leave, if you do...you can't return. Unless you are standing on the street, they charge an a@@ load. I think it was $3-10k a person depending what joint you party at for a club/window party seat/view which are sold out years in advance. Not to mention its a nightmare for people/traffic and everything else. Unless you are just going to say you went, I wouldn't do it again. Other than that.....LOTS of fun stuff to see/do. It's probably one of my favorite cities at Christmas time...
  14. Looks VERY nice! Any weight reduction? Get your MPH sorted and slap a 200-shot on it...
  15. Very nice! This makes me miss Ohio bad and the track days BAD... Who's Roush and times? What did the '97 Cobra run? Silver Lightning? Cuda? Duster/Demon? GN? How many runs do you guys typically get and how many total people run/race?
  16. Seriously? It's $200-260 for Texas just to enter. You are talking $2-3k+ for the weekend depending where you come from and what you are racing just to show up, race, eat, sleep, etc...no extra parts, repairs, anything...
  17. $150 is a lot to race for two days as FAST as you want....
  18. I don't think they are that bad. The Gen-III/IV is much better than the early models but then again, it's a race car for the street. It's not suppose to be a cushy ride. It was designed to have NO traction control, ABS, cruise, etc...only later were ABS and creature comforts added to please the middle aged "look at me" types. With a DRIVER, I'd say its above the others mentioned in performance but it's more hardcore and NOT really a DD type car. Some people DD them but depending on your location, it may not be great. The early models were very hot inside due to the exhaust/cats placement. You can solve it with aftermarket exhaust, etc. Interior is plastic and cheap but you can have it done in leather like everything else, but I wouldn't waste the cash. 2010 got a few changes and make it the best year to buy for top end/1-Mile runs. I'd like to buy one just to run 10's stock....probably wouldn't spend much on it modding after that and would stick to trackdays and other stuff besides 1/4-mile... I've got my bike for drag/Top Speed stuff!
  19. Most of this was posted in the other thread, or you can go to Landracing.com and read the forums. No cage under 135, 135+ 4-point bar, and 6-point for 150+ and other stuff... Some of it is but the rules change almost every year so they don't want it online and misquoted. Not to mention old guys are running it, PLUS they can charge you for a rule book everytime you want/need a CURRENT one... :dumb: This would be nice to see.....pretty much just roll of the line and then once it starts hooking at 100+ put the beans to it...
  20. Sounded like a healthy dose of rev limiter at the end....
