  1. +1 Looks good in white... Still can't believe that thing runs at 17.5psi of boost stock...
  2. 1st car was a hand me down, paid $1,200 for it... Spirit Turbo (not mine but a pic from online) http://www.turbo-mopar.com/forums/images/garage/attach/garage_vehicle-72-12480292201.jpg 2nd car (worked my ass off in high school) Pacific Green Cobra http://mustangattitude.com/mustang/1997/1997_00005_01.jpg
  3. LOL....that's damn near in my backyard!
  4. I heard it went a 12.2 that night but those are pre-production cars. Curious what the consumers run with them... I think they look great but I would never buy one because of the weight...
  5. The good ones have a restriction on the amount they can raise it each year. It all boils down to "read the contract" before buying...
  6. Vipers with the right exhaust are pure sex... Like any car with the wrong exhuast, it sounds like shit...
  7. LOL......some responses in this thread makes me laugh!
  8. +1 Pay off the CC.......THEN.......CUT IT UP!!! Then take that extra $250 payment and put it towards the car principle and pay that crap off QUICK! Once you have no debt, start racking up that $700 a month until you have a nice nest (egg 3-6 months of bills). Then start investing....
  9. Great cars, just expensive if anything major goes wrong...
  10. Hell, I understand exactly what you are going through....just to much going on and not enough time for toys. I've been looking at getting another toy for a while just don't have time to enjoy it. It would just sit in the garage for a few months until I get time and even then, it would be a couple days here and there... Do what you think is right but I hate to say, I would NOT trust that car at 200+. The wheelbase is to short IMO and to be honest I don't think you'll like it at those speeds. You'll have to do a lot of aero work which is going to cost you a LOT more time and more money. I don't know the condition but I would maybe do a few things and get it ready for sale. If you can break even like it sits go for it, otherwise part it out and clean out the garage for when the time is right...
  11. Panasonic - VIERA / 50" Class / 1080p / 600Hz / Plasma HDTV http://www.bestbuy.com/site/Panasonic+-+VIERA+/+50%22+Class+/+1080p+/+600Hz+/+Plasma+HDTV/9887422.p?id=1218189764175&skuId=9887422&st=9887422&cp=1&lp=1 $699 - SAVE $300 and you can order/reserve online and not deal with the Black Friday crazyness....
  12. We do this all the time. My wife just did it on a Dyson that was 50% off but they only had 20. She bought it on Tue and they matched the price over the phone this morning at Sears. Never stood in a single line and never even had to leave the house to get the deal...
  13. Maybe there needs to be a thread on LIFE on this site, I see this happening WAY to often....
  14. If you want to get technical and bring history into it, you wouldn't have drag racing without ROLL racing...
  15. They are the same idiots that roll over negative equity and can NOT afford the car to begin with. Same thing with diamonds, they probably can't afford what they are looking at....
  16. Mr. Hal has pointed out the obvious already so since price is something on your mind. The Z28 was 2/3 the cost new, why doesn't resale value reflect that now (instead there is a bigger gap)? Again, you get what you pay for...
  17. It all depends on the piece and yes there is a lot of markup. That's why people need to do there homework before buying just like a vehicle. No ass hat goes to a dealer and pays FULL MSRP on a car let alone dealer markup. Same thing with a diamond. And if you are uneasy about it, any reputable jeweler will guarantee the price if you upgrade later.
  18. A loaded SS/WS6 was in the $30k's new and you could get a 03/04 Cobra for $32k (MSRP $35k) and under $30k when the rebates hit so price wise they are pretty close. The difference now is the Cobra's are still worth something and I think you've shown what the LS1's are worth. Like you said, you get what you pay for...
  19. WTF are you talking about? Diamonds do NOT depreciate worse than a car.....
  20. It's 1-year or 15k-miles whichever comes first and if you talk to your service tech you can get it done before that. Right now they are running a special until Jan 3, 2011....if you get a CPO car the warranty/service plan is good for 6-years or 100K miles. http://www.bmwusa.com/Standard/Content/CPO/Warranty/Covered.aspx There is a $50 charge per visit after the factory 4/50k runs out but it's still cheap for what is covered if people are worried. ....and you are right you can't go wrong with either. Both BMW/Audi will be great and if you take care of them they will last a LONG time. Personally I've had great results with BMW and would buy another new one any day. Like anything German they are more expensive, just depends what you want... If you want a cheap DD buy an Acura!
  21. Bahh....it's fun! Bring it out to a MILE race and see how fast it will really go...
  22. If you plan to leave it stock (or even lightly modded) I would go 335i ALL DAY! It is the only one with a complete service plan so you won't pay a DIME to maintain it until it's out of warranty. You can rape the car and other than tires and gas it won't cost you a penny. My wife has a 328i and the car has been perfect. With snow tires we had ZERO trouble in Ohio winters so the 335xi would be bonus. The Audi would be fun but god help you if you start having warranty issues. Then again, there is a reason you see more 335's than S5's....they work for a fun DD!
  23. Werd......I don't know what you guys are talking about missing gears in an 03-04 Cobra... I had more problems with the T-45's and syncro's going...
