  1. Step down? The Grom is in the basement. It is absolutely useless for any practical riding.
  2. With bikes like the CBR500 and Ninja400... the appeal of a GROM is lost on me.
  3. All light switches should be dimmers.
  4. Most shut offs are far more than $50, Richy Rich. Also, it's "we non-alcoholics"...
  5. Wow... haven't seen you round for some time.
  6. I am completely flummoxed by the capabilities of that Ninja.
  7. 1320 miles for me. Maybe 100 on the slab and the rest was just brilliant WV roads. The Hyper is amazing. I am very happy with that bike. It is a missle on twisty roads and comfortable in town or hauling ass. The front end needs some love, but the shock seemed to work well. The traction control is awesome. I was trying to make it slip the first night on wet roads and it just stuck. Day 2 was the best of the three, with today being a solid 2nd. Day 1 loses just because of the wet roads and the vintage porn hotel. The pub was cool, though. So was that loop into Maryland. So, Days 1&3 are tied for 2nd, but the crown belongs to yesterday. Wow.. I never knew I could ride that many good roads in one weekend. I plan on doing more of these trips.
  8. I will post later. Too tired now. Time for ice cream.
  9. All of them. We even dipped our toes in Maryland, yesterday.
  10. So many good roads today. So many more tomorrow.
  11. I rode the dick off of it today. Will run the other dick off of it tomorrow..and the last dick off of it on Sunday.
  12. Good for Harley. They finally decided to build something inside their technical abilities. First bicycles, then tomorrow...maybe actual motorcycles.
  13. Installed GripPuppies to the Hyper and packed it for this weekend. Time to see how many times I can shit myself in one trip.

    10k already.

You know... I was thinking about this post and checked my own mileage. Since April, I have ridden the FZ6 4,000 miles, the Whale 6,000 miles and the Hyper over 1,000 already..with 1,500 scheduled for this weekend. Holy crap. I do like riding motorcycles more than bicycles...and I have the stomach to prove it.
  15. I just eat shit like this all the time... Mac and cheese, cabbage, fried plantains and oxtail. So much carbs. So much tasty.
  16. I hear you. I was down to 165 lbs last summer, but my diet consisted of fruit snacks and 100 proof whiskey. Now I am traveling all the time for work and have not adjusted to hotel life. My exercise regimen has vanished and I am back into 34" waist pants. Not terribly excited about that, but I am getting a grip on things. Slow and steady, man. I would like to see a healthy 175 lbs for me. 165 was a bit small and made me shiver all the time. Of course, that may have been the all the whiskey and Red #5 food dye. Hard to say....
  17. Base layer. Thermal shirt. T-shirt. Remove as needed.
  18. @Killer_kaw...I have never used my heated gear. I have a Gerbings jacket liner, G3(?) gloves and a dual-pot controller. My el-cheapo Survivor suit is quite nice in the cold. It has a full quilted liner, but also never used that. I use Under Armour Cold Gear compression pants and shirt and this base layer does the most good. I prefer thin layers to bulky gear.
  19. Uh... mark me down as an interested party. I have heated gear and a motorcycle.

Keep up the good work, Jim. I am looking forward to buying this bike in 5 years for pennies on the dollar with 200,000 miles on it.
  21. 320 miles. Good to see you guys. Next time we will go faster. Still getting used to the Hyper. Side note: It runs out of fuel around 170 miles.
  22. No route or description necessary. Those invited already know who they are and know what to expect.
  23. Ditched the floppy mirrors, added a CRG Blindspot and a tank bag. So much more gooder.
  24. Kent, you let me know in the am if you are coming. I will wait if I know you are coming.
