Columbus/Polaris.

Sale fell through. Bump to the top.

Hah...hard to find them in that price range. We test drove a 2012 at Germain and it was super janky inside, its been beat. Asking 30k for it, guy even said make an offer and I refused its so beat.

She has a 6spd Kia Sportage that will be her 'beater'. ......I'm hoping the terrible MPG will persuade her to keep miles off the 'baby mobile'. We still have a jacked up dually and a camm'd C5 for the summer Plus I'm not sacrificing my baby(SRT) for a RAV-4, Honda Pilot, or Pacifica. It's gotta be sporty and quick or a complete luxury boat. I put my poor SRT10 Ram on the cross to be crucified in the name of an upcoming baby. I finally talked my wife into some more 'modable' albeit expensive SUV's. The current front runners are: 2015 Grand Cherokee Summit (top-of-the-line Hemi) 2013 Yukon Denali(LS3) Both suck the gas, but respond well to mods(intake, xpipe, exhaust). The Jeep is far and above more decked out(modern) than the Denali, pano-roof, better infotainment. etc, but the quadra-lift air suspension really worries me and once you start adding all the electronic features; I feel those are the thing that fail. Whereas the Yukon is a GM, parts are cheap, and I'd likely do the repairs myself. I have far more confidence in the reliability of the GM than I do the Jeep. Any info, opinions, comments, observations?

I'm confused? Who cares? If you are in NYC/Jersey and driving, you're from out of town and visiting so it shouldn't matter. All my family and friends there do own cars(to escape the city) but they take the trains. I can understand NYC prolly doesn't get the revenue from DUI traffic stops they should...you'd better worry about going home and driving on the M1 after United loses

I was thinking about starting to invest. I have some extra cash and I'm in front of a computer almost 24/7 with lots of extra time to research, watch, etc. What are some good sites/forums that offer advice for beginner investors? Whats this Robin Hood app that I get to hear about 1000x on YouTube?

Is it just me or going back and thinking about all the cars you've owned since being on the forum is akin to someone asking you about how many women you've slept with... 99 Prelude 93 RX7 00 S10 98 Corvette 99 Viper GTS 93 RX7 04 S4 02 C32 AMG 04 CTSV 93 RX7 87 Regal T 04 SRT Ram 97 Saab 900 01 X5 04 F350

Sale pending.

Just want to add here what I said in the other thread, there is some paint rashing on the passenger side rear bumper(corner) and side mirror due to squeezing it into the garage. It's surface damage, no cracks in the polyurethane. Regardless, it's still a fantastic deal even with the imperfections. I'll try and get some pics this week.
-
Very true. Details are here: http://www.columbusracing.com/forums/showthread.php?t=115056 If a mod could re-open it for me? New specifics would be the mileage has increased a bit to 18,xxx and there is some paint rashing on the passenger side (bumper and mirror) due to stuffing her into the garage. $20k punch me in the balls price.
-
Yeah, someone PMd me for details and said they'd look into what their place would offer. I'll text you sometime this weekend. Pretty sure we're shopping for an Audi, I love the Allroad and the wife is pretty stuck on the Q5.

Running into some issues because its been modified.

For those of you who have dealt with his dealership, did you buy something in stock or did he find the car for you? Just curious, I know Jordan is busy and doesn't post much. I've come to the sad realization that I have a baby on the way and need to sacrifice my SRT10 so the wife can get an AWD baby hauler, but I'm not giving it up for a run of the mill car; it needs to have modding potential. I'd rather it go to a dealer who will appreciate what it is and give me a much better trade.
-
I've got the best of both worlds. I have a race truck (blown SRT) and a family hauler (lifted quadcab dually). I always find it sad the 8000+lb behemoth gets about double the gas mileage of the small one.
-
The wife has narrowed down her search for a medium-ish SUV with the XC60...prolly looking at a used mid-teens 2014-15 T6. Are there any reliability concerns or mandatory maintenance needed on these? Should it make 100k+ rather worry free just doing routine maintenance? I found what seems like a super nice one on Swedespeed but it's one of the few car brands I've never owned.

Truth. I mean we are one of the few fan bases I've ever heard that actually 'boo' our own team/coaches. I'd be totally ecstatic for a Rose Bowl and not an NC bid. We do carry a certain pedigree, but you can't win them all. I feel recently we have picked up a lot of 'fair weathered' fans; it's Championship or bust! I find myself talking my wife and friends off the ledge of perfection that they demand from OSU. We had a good season with a young team, a stupid loss, a dominant Wolverine victory at home....let's get a bowl win and prep for a better 2019 season.(If we get an NC bid, then Go Bucks, if not, ZERO FUCKS GIVEN.)
-
Wait, I'm confused. Who's spending 400 in gas? Are they taking a big rig to Texarkana? Not everyone has a ShortStop in their town to buy cheap booze.
-
The FBS is all over the board..OSU was never a Top 5 team, no way no how...too many issues. I'll take the loss and hope for a Rose Bowl. And yes, 'Bama is rolling against NO ONE. The only team that gave them static was A&M.......looking good tonight. Then we are in the quandry...who do you hate more, Bama or ND?
-
Whats the story? Looks like bad driving. The other car started drifiting and from the front view it looks like the Purple Stang or whatever color just panics and cuts the wheel...
-
+1. Good flavor and keeps you full for quite a while, plus the price is right. I think it's a little hard to mix but it passed the wife test, she loves it, so maybe I'm crazy.

Think I'd rather trade a jersey for some tattoos.
-
I managed to get it soldered. Its not a forever fix, just a temporary band-aid. Much more important issues need to be addressed before I redo the cables, which is in the near future.
-
Not mine, my phone bricked itself playing music while I was under the hood, not a good weekend for me. But this picture shows it must be a common issue and is very similar to how mine broke, though mine snapped pretty much back at the rubber cable and not so close to the post. What you can't see in this picture is another positive cable that comes up the back side of the battery...so its not simple round terminal.
