Damn, I was hoping it was opening soon. This is really fucking with my morning commute...
-
Anyone have a good site that tells us when parts of that interchange will be reopened? The .gov sites really don't say, unless I can't find it. Right now the 33/161 to South 270 being closed is killing me and I want that open...

This one hit a lot of people hard. A few years later a guy I played hockey with died on a bike in a similar way, not too far from where Kenny was...

All sold, lock it up!
-
Price reduced to $80 each, which is $20+ under face value.
-
Now selling for face value, $106 each. Not gonna get a better deal than this for basically an Olympic hockey game here in Columbus. Willing to sell them in groups of 2...

And look, now I have another for you to buy? I'm sure that was me, as I live just north of the Zoo...

1999 Ford Contour SVT. 86K miles, very good condition. This is a rare car with very low miles for a 1999. New brakes, tires, fuel pump, and wheel bearings. Runs perfect, gets 27-30 MPG. Performance mods include a cold air intake and a Borla exhaust. Typical scuffs and small scratches for a car of this age, but still really nice to look at. The only real issue is a paint chip on the roof. $3900 or best offer.

The only time I did morning workouts (Like from 7:00 AM to 8:00 AM) was when my kids were really young and my wife didn't want me working out after work, thus more time away from home, etc. But I stopped that a few years ago and went back to working out after work. I'm just not a morning person, so I'd rather do afternoon workouts. Plus the scenery is better. The only workout I get up early for is 6:00 AM hockey downtown on Friday. And that's because it's a good level of play, my friends are there, and I work 5 minutes away.

My brother did as well. He called and they came out that same day and dropped it off. Good pricing, fast service...

Price reduced to $125 each...

First off, I doubt I'm the only one he's tried to pull this on. He couldn't know it was me. And secondly, I'm not calling from a traceable phone. But I do get what you're saying.
-
I actually thought about calling his number from one of our work phones and telling the guy I'm with such and such police department and they are on to his scams and he'd better stay out of Delaware / Powell. See what he says...
-
Yeah, I Googled the scam and saw it posted a bunch of places, was just wondering if anyone else had it happen to them. I'm of course worried about someone casing my fucking house now. I also Googled the name of this company and the guy's number and it came back with a big fat ZERO. So yeah, I'm 100% sure it was a scam. But to what end, I don't know.
-
Anyone had this happen to them? Some guy in a truck drops by my house while the wife is home with the kids and I'm at work. Says he's got some leftover material from a job he's doing down the street and he can chip seal our driveway really cheap. He leaves a quote for like $3100. Anyone who's seen my driveway knows it's really long and all gravel. The quote itself was on a standard form for quotes such as these, but he hand wrote his company name on it, wasn't even anything official. I've heard of this scam before, just wanted to know if anyone else had it happen to them, etc.

I have 6 tickets, all together, for the September 9th World Cup Of Hockey game, USA vs. Canada! These are great lower bowl seats in Section 101 Row R, on the aisle. This game is sold out and secondary market tickets are going fast! This is a hard number of tickets to find together. Asking $150 per ticket, would like to sell all 6 together. Edit: Price reduced to $80 each, which is $20+ under face value.

Just booked a 6 day all inclusive stay at Secrets in Cozumel with the wife in December. It's actually my brother's 40th birthday, so we're going down with him and his wife. Booked the whole trip, including the "preferred" package (better food / bars / pools) for $2900. That's flights, too. I thought it was a pretty good deal for almost a week. So who's been to Cozumel? I'm huge into snorkeling, so I'll spend a lot of my time out on the reef looking for sharks and other cool shit. What else should we do?

I used Buckeye Muffler back in 2001 when I first got my Formula and had them put my cat-back on. They were cheap and fast...

I live in the Delaware / Powell area, but am in Buckeye Valley school district. This saves quite a bit in taxes and you're still close enough to Columbus...

I can put my 2 cents in wtih hockey, since my 5 year old just started this year. Anyone who knows me knows that I'm huge into hockey, I still play 2-3 times a week, all year long. I got my son in the Chiller skating classes last July, and this January he started the Junior Stingers Learn To Play Hockey. He's done three sessions of that and just this week started the 5-10 Year Old Hockey Class. That will lead up to Mini-Mites (6 and under league) this October. He really loves it, so I'm excited for sure. As it was said, hockey is expensive as hell. You can't just go over to the playground and get on the ice. What helps out when your kid is young, is that USA Hockey gives you free equipment to get started. The Chiller has the bags, you just have to ask as long as they have some there. You just give it back when you're done or your kid has outgrown it. I had to buy skates (used at Play It Again, don't buy new for a 5 year old!), stick, neck guard, socks, and tape. A jersey comes with the class, so that was already covered. His skating and hockey classes were about $130 for 8 sessions. This summer session he just started is also $130, but you get 4 extra sessions because they want it to go right up until the hockey leagues start. I've already signed him up for CCYHA Mini-Mites (out of the Dublin Chiller), and that's going to cost me $580 for the season. However, he'll practice 1-2 days a week and have a game on the weekend. The season goes until like February - March. Plus I'm 99% sure I'll be his coach, since I have a ton of hockey experience and I used to coach high school. Hockey also has three levels here: House, AA, and AAA. House is all at the same rink, the basic league you can play in. AA is travel hockey, but limited and at a higher skill level. AAA is the highest skill you can get to, they can travel great distances for their games. However, you can't even get on a travel team until your kid is 9 years old. My son's done really well, I was looking at some videos on my phone of him on figure skates his first few classes a year ago, to him in full gear on hockey skates scoring goals in his scrimmages last week. Amazing how quick they learn and take to the game...

I've been with US Bank for like 12 years now and never had issues. There might be better choices out there now, but I rarely use cash or checks and since it costs me nothing to bank there, I just keep it there. However, I pay most of my bills through my Amex so I get cash back... :yup:

I also want to point out again that this is not a desk job where you're answering a Help Desk phone. You might be at your desk sometimes, but most of the time, you're walking around the Plant dealing with issues. Lots of exercise...
-
My team is looking for an IT specialist that would help support our large manufacturing plant in downtown Columbus. You need to be an experienced IT person, not entry level. This job requires a lot of walking around, as our plant is decent sized. The work would include PC deployment, software installations, hardware and software issues, Windows installations, hardware asset tracking, and other types of IT support that we might require. This is a contract position. Please PM me if you are interested.

While I'd love some more entertainment to read, this is actually good news and I'm happy to hear it...

I had a nest in the dash of a Navigator I owned years ago. That sucked getting out. I've also read that moth balls work well for keeping them away.
