  1. Wouldn't be caught dead spending 70k on a Kia.
  2. McLaren F1 GTR is the end-all be-all for me http://allcarcentral.com/McLaren/McLaren_F1_mclaren-dn-load-photo-2008.jpg But LFA is up there for sure.
  3. Another really good one, and it gets even better at the end.
  4. I think I read 10 or 11 years old. Some think she might be the downfall, but obviously she's young, and for her age it's hard to believe she's got a voice like that. She's got a lot to learn, but the talent is there!
  5. I think I heard something about no insurance, too.
  6. If I could have ANY car in the world, it would have to be a McLaren F1, hands down. I don't care what trim it's in, it's incredible.
  7. Sounds like the typical lean condition on your idle jets. I really don't know much about those Holley carbs, but when tuning the Webers I had, there was a dead spot between my idle and progressive circuit- my idle jets weren't large enough. I bought larger idles and adjusted the air correctors so my idle was nice and solid, and it helped a steady idle quite a bit. With those larger idles there was a smaller gap per-se between the idle and progressive circuit into the mains. upsizing the pump jets will help with a quick throttle stab, but that's not really the issue you're experiencing with what sounds like a dead spot at partial throttle. just my .02
  8. I would sue the shit out of those parents for damages. Not my fault your son is a fuckup and vandalized my house, with photo evidence.
  9. is that Pakie's beefcake twin?
  10. At the time I was only squatting 225, but I was definitely not a fan of the whole mechanism(hooks?). It takes a lot of trust to just hang a bar on those hooks without worrying you'll drop the whole thing. Not to mention, you're fucked if your spotter is too busy admiring the chick down the row doing squats. They didn't seem very sturdy to me, and the safety chains were pretty cumbersome. I like the idea of that machine, but I find that I like the traditional cage a little better.
  11. There are two things you should never do with an oil filter: 1. Overtighten 2. Put on dry I think it's common knowledge that you're not supposed to crank an oil filter on more than hand tight. Maybe the tech understated this idea quite a bit, or perhaps it simply just didn't get put on right, like you're assuming. I think it is also common knowledge not to put a filter on dry as it can cause the o-ring to bind and bunch up on the mating surface and cause seepage. I could see how it would be really easy for an oil tech getting lazy and just zip on your filter real fast without caring to lube the o-ring. Either way, as long as it's on and not leaking anymore, nothing to really get upset about. Maybe if it caused an oil-out and the motor blew you should get upset, but that's not the case. People make mistakes, if you can't do things yourself, expect to deal with the mistakes of others.
  12. Then I guess you don't want that nice of a show car, do ya?
  13. As mentioned, I'm sure there's a tax from the name, but inspect, admire, and take a chance to drive a car like that, and you'll understand why. All things considered, I'd be more afraid to drive a Rolls, than an exotic of similar value. The supercars and exotics of that price range are a far cry in fit and finish, but the price tag likely comes from performance, race heritage, and of course brand name. Ferrari F40 comes to mind. They float around the 300-400k price range... ever look at one of those up close? The fit and finish of a Rolls is far better than anything you've likely ever witnessed.
  14. No prob... sitting this one out, but still able to help!
  15. I don't want to say it, but I'm sure you're right. Don't let it go to your head This is a great idea, along with doc's conditioning ideas. Before I go spending money in an effort to keep their stupid German Shephard in their yard, I think there are choices I should exercise prior to opening the wallet. I think I'll at least talk to them one more time and mention the actions I'll be forced to take with HOA if they don't come up with a solution like a leash for the dog or possibly electric fence. If I still have problems I think shrubbery or possibly something on their fence to block the view of the dogs might not be a bad idea. I figure if the dogs can't see each other, less chance for the stupid German Shephard to jump the fence. On second though, I just bought a fire pit and nice grill... I wonder what German Shephards taste like.
  16. To be honest, the HOA is really, REALLY lenient on a lot of things. I actually have very little confidence they will even care since the neighbor I'm having trouble with is with a completely seperate HOA. Well, I thought to myself, I could just leave their dog in my yard and call Animal Control, or something of those lines and have them take it away. But, like I said, the owners are 8 times out of 10, outside with the dog... they simply don't keep an eye on it.
  17. This is the only option that I can see currently, which is why I'm asking what else CR would suggest doing. I don't exactly want the neighbors to hate me and cause problems in the future, but I can't let something like this continue to happen.
