  1. Saw a white R8 Spyder on 23 today going the opposite direction. Nothing like rolling in your 160k+ sports car in the pouring rain.
  2. I am having trouble deciding on a gas trimmer to purchase. I currently have an older 25cc Craftsman that runs well, but just doesn't have the power I need. It can do the basic grass trimming around the house and driveway, but doesn't have the power to get through the thick stuff. I'd love a full on commercial trimmer, but I'm not willing to spend $400+ on a gas trimmer, and is likely overkill for my needs. I need to trim through some minor brush and tall grass. I have also found that cc rating on trimmers can be pretty useless, as a good 21cc trimmer can make more power than a cheap-o 30cc unit. The two I have found I am interested in: Low end of price scale: http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=140528705291&ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT High-end: http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=230588872603&ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT The Craftsman looks like it would get the job done, and is a good deal @ $92 shipped. The Husqvarna is the lowest model of real Husqvarna's (below that they are rebadged Polans). The Husqvarna is a nicer trimmer, but is it worth the $100 price difference? I haven't found anything price wise between those two trimmer worth considering. Help me pick which one to buy.
  3. I've recently began managing a small group that is considered to be in a sales-type position along with my other group of direct reports. This group has a base salary, but 60-80% of their pay is commission. I’ve never been in sales nor have ever managed anyone with a commission-based pay, so I don’t know the normal pay standards for a sales person. My question is - what is considered normal pay protocol for vacation and sick time for a sales position? . Is vacation paid based on your base salary, or paid based on your salary + average sales? How about paid sick time? Or is it done a totally different way?
  4. I love the wheels. The fronts look like they fit fine, but the rear offset isn't great. I personally would either sell the rears and get a proper set, or see if a place like Wheel Medic could do something to make the rears fit better. Those wheels really set the car off far better than any factory wheel will.
  5. I wonder in the Jeep owner beat the shit out of that dude.
  6. So having a single store in an area makes a place a local business? So if Microcenter opens up another store here they are no longer local? Quite the logic you run with.
  7. You need to learn to read: Leinenkeugel's Summer Shandy Yuengling (WAY better than New Castle) Troegs PA Harp
  8. 23 stores across the country is hardly a local business. I guess I should also buy at Walmart since that is local too, right? And very proud of it. If I can buy a product I want for less elsewhere, I choose to do that. - Buy used when possible/logical (never buy a new car, for instance, that's for suckers). - Buy online when cheaper - Be patient - good deals take time - Research what you buy
  9. Don't waste your money on a Macbook. I've torn one apart - nothing special about them. Remember, they all use Intel hardware anyway.
  10. Yeah, we don't need nun of dat book lernin around here!
  11. They may match prices - but they charge tax, and much of Newegg's product line is free shipping (or shipping cheaper than the tax would be on the item).
  12. Do you have 100 or 200 amp service to you house. If 100, this project will likely go far beyond just running 220 to the garage.
  13. Not sure. Started leaking oil after a couple of years so he decided to rebuild the motor while fixing the leak since it wasn't expensive to rebuild. I borrowed it a number of times and it had ran great even pre-rebuild.
  14. How is that /thread. There are a number of drinks that are both better and more interesting in this thread than New Castle.
  15. LOL, I bet that is not for inspiration - rather she is probably using that as a profile picture for an online dating site.
  16. I am currently sporting a Troegs Pale Ale. Had a Tequila Ghost a few minutes ago (first time, not all that good). Harp and Lime and Yuengling before that.
  17. Oh yeah, sugar cube and spoon is for Absinthe, and you can't buy the real stuff here. You wouldn't want to shake anything with Redbull as it is carbonated. You can also just mix the Red Bull and Vodka together, but that is the girly way of drinking it.
  18. Proper way: 1 shot glass of 3 Olives Cherry Vodka Glass filled with about 4-6 oz of Redbull Drop shot glass into glass of Vodka, chug together. It is called a Cherry Bomb.
  19. I saw that one, but that thing is likely 10 years old and is a residential mower for 2k.
  20. T T T, anyone see anything recently? I was the high bidder on a mint, low hour, loaded 2003 Tige 22V, but I didn't hit the reserve at 21k. I also looked at a 2003 Malibu Wakesetter 21' locally. Had the base tower but all other options including upgraded Ballast system. 600 hours but seemed well maintained, interior was near mint, had the Wetsounds tower speakers. Guy was 5 minutes away, wanting 25k firm. I liked the boat but we decided for now we don't want to exceed 21-22k. If we can't find anything latter, then we may up the budget back to 25k.
  21. $2000 right now. If my buddy sells his house he will sell me his Exmark at a good price, and I would rather buy his than one I am not familiar with. But if I can score one cheaper, so be it. I have already found a 4 year old 50" Cub Cadet with low hours the seller is asking $1800 for, but it is only a residential mower. I am also watching a couple eBay auctions as well. I am in no rush, so I am sure I will eventually find what I want at the price I want the pay. That's the luxury of being a cheap ass and not having to buy it now.
  22. My buddy scored his 60" Exmark for $2500. His needed front tires and a fresh seat and it was ready to rock. I'm looking for that kind of deal on a commercial mower.
  23. Quick search: CPU: $180 http://www.microcenter.com/single_product_results.phtml?product_id=0354589 Motherboard: $80 http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813128482 Ram: $42 http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820233132 Video Card: $96 http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814127527R MUST use Microcenter for the CPU - their prices are simply the best anywhere. Everything else is Newegg. If you can add another $70 to your budget, you could go i7 instead of i5. If you aren't going to play any games, no HDMI hookup, etc, you could go far cheaper on the video card.
  24. - $2000 max budget. I may consider spending more later if I can't get what I want, but this is my max for now. - 50"+ deck. I will consider nothing smaller. I would prefer 60"+ - No "project" mowers. Fully running, needing nothing major. - Prefer commercial. I won't touch my max budget on a residential unless it is a 60"+ deck. - Would be willing to trade my 2005 Husqvarna 54" deck (6-speed) riding mower + cash for someone looking to downgrade. My Husqvarna runs perfectly, 22HP, rebuilt the transmission last summer.
