  1. I have no clue. I've never even seen one in person. I've had several people ride it and state "someone is going to die on this thing."
  2. • New Keyless Access remote key fob with integrated key What is the change in this vs. the system offered 05-07???
  3. She LOVES XLR's, but that's way more than she wants to spend. That or the new SL would probably be her #1 choice if it wasn't her money.
  4. Are the valve covers perimiter bolt or center bolt?
  5. The 01's did have tons of tranny issues; that's the year to avoid. Mine has plenty of power to keep me happy. Could it be faster, sure, anything can be. But I wouldn't want mine with any more power.
  6. I think she prefers the look of the G coupe over them, but I don't think she would consider it.
  7. Fixed something on it today, decided to give it a bath and take a couple of pics of it: http://cofba.org/users/nitrousbird/Raptor/Raptor%20RS.JPG http://cofba.org/users/nitrousbird/Raptor/Raptor%20RR.JPG http://cofba.org/users/nitrousbird/Raptor/Raptor%20Front%20Close.JPG Mods: Trailtech Vapor (surprise X-mas present from the g/f), Razor rear tires, pipe, and some motor work I'm unsure of (was told it was bored/stroked to a 750 when I bought it, but I doubt its that big). The rear end might not be stock either, and is !all lights . Fun toy, but I don't ride it as much as I should. It's an 04 Limited Edition, hence the color combo.
  8. She HATES Miata's; won't even consider one. I think they are even to girly for her, lol. I think the G6 will be too much $$ for just a toy for her. She could afford it, but doesn't want to spend that much money on a 2nd car. Haven't checked into a CLK, but I bet she would still like the SLK better, simply because if she wants a second car, she wants it small/sporty. I still haven't seen many issues online about the SLK's. I think with rims, CAI, pulley swap, and perhaps upgrade the head unit, and she would be a pretty happy camper.
  9. IT"S A 1980 COROLLA!! His comment has nothing to do with "class." Nor is his car new.....
  10. You could always just wait a few months then push her down the stairs. j/k
  11. Crossfire is both a soft top AND ugly...I doubt she would go for that. If she was going softop, I'm sure she'd go with the Sky or Z3/Z4 anyway. Performance isn't her #1 concern, sadly.
  12. I've yet to find a good one. The one thing none of the caculators I have seen factor in is max RPM. If you only spin a motor 5k, you can get away with a lot less injector than you can if you spin to 8k. In my case, I'm just going to buy the biggest high impedance I can get my mitts on, and run those until I can't get away with it anymore.
  13. In this car's case, it is more like lifting up the skirt of a fat chick with a big birth mark across her face with facial hair, pulling down her huge panties and finding a cock with the herp on it.
  14. She doesn't want to pay 50k for a car. She doesn't see the point in throwing out that much cash for a car. She feels bad about getting rid of her Sentra, as the miles are low, has never given her any issues (other than putting on new tires), and she has no car payment. I don't think she would buy a stick car until she was good at it, and I don't have any long-term access to a stick car that would be appropriate to learn on...and that's assuming she would even like to own a stick once she learned.
  15. #1: Only offered in a manual, she wants an auto #2: Softop, not a hardtop #3: Torqueless, and I know she doesn't like cars like that at all. Not even in the running. If she was going softop, a Z3/Z4, or Sky Redline would be considered, but she really likes the looks of the SLK.
  16. Well, I think my g/f decided instead of getting an AWD daily driver (G35x, IS250 AWD, or 328xi), she'd rather spend less money on a summer toy, and drive her current car for the winter (which is perfectly fine and nothing wrong with it). She wants a hardtop convertible, so obviously the choices are limited. - 3000GT Spyder really wasn't her thing, and I didn't really suggest it highly - Didn't like the late 90's SL's that well. She really liked the SLK's, though hasn't drove one yet. You can get some pretty low mileage 98's for around 15k. The 320's are a bit more, and are they worth it? She'd rather have the 32 AMG, but those are hard to find and pretty pricey. So anything to know about the SLK 320 (other than I barely fit into one)? Options to look for? Trouble areas? Being a supercharged 2.3L, are they happy with a CAI, header, and pulley swap? (that and rims are about all I could probably get her to do) We'll test drive one in a week or so. I've driven a SLK 320 before; and though it lacks power (will do a burnout though), and I wasn't all that fond of its handling, it was a nice car.
  17. One day at Buckeye Lake, and looked what happened to my new prop: http://cofba.org/users/nitrousbird/Boat/Chewed%20Prop.JPG Of course with a jet boat, that isn't an issue. This is why I have a composite prop coming, so replacing blades shouldn't be an issue. I did have my boat out on Griggs Friday evening. You aren't allowed to tube there, but not a lot of boat traffic either, and no lake lice. Got some really good slalom skiing in as well. Sam, if you ever want to take your boat out there, let me know; it's better than I thought it would be.
  18. I'm ONLY selling these because my new heads don't take center bolt valve covers. - 2 LT4 covers, mounting studds, and Mobile 1 Oil cap - MBA Billet trim kit, CORRECTLY installed (no worry of the trim coming loose) - Covers are clearanced for tall guideplates, such as the Crane units I was running. No leaking or fit issues. They looks awesome in person, lots of compliments. Even quieted my drivetrain down a bit. Should fit center bolt SBC heads as well as LT1/LT4. http://cofba.org/users/nitrousbird/LT4%20Valve%20Covers/LT4%20Valve%20Cover%20-4.JPG http://cofba.org/users/nitrousbird/LT4%20Valve%20Covers/LT4%20Valve%20Cover%20-2.JPG http://cofba.org/users/nitrousbird/LT4%20Valve%20Covers/LT4%20Valve%20Cover%20-3.JPG http://cofba.org/users/nitrousbird/LT4%20Valve%20Covers/LT4%20Valve%20Cover%20-%201.JPG Cost: $225 + shipping. These things aren't cheap, and I'm not sure if you can even find the MBA kit anymore.
  19. I saw the pics of her. NO!
  20. That chick looks way better than the real Paris. If only they would throw her back in general population......
  21. Before ordering crazy-expensive parts from the dealer, have you checked online/e-bay? I've saved a boat load of cash (pun intended) on mine doing that. Hell, I just broke down and ordered a composite prop for mine tonight, for the same amount the local dealers want for an el' cheapo aluminum.
  22. <--- Moster 12-bolt, 33-spline axles, HD Eaton Posi, TA Cover, 1350 yoke, Moser assembled, have had it for years and not broken. Only issue I ever had was an axle bearing go bad (not Moser's fault); replaced it, no other issues. If I were doing it again, I'd go with a 9"
  23. I love calling all my friends with Nextels, just to get the message about trying to find the Nextel subscriber, then it goes to VM. It's amazing if it EVER rings to one of them. Nextel sucks.
