  1. Where the hell in Columbus do you live that only offers Basic Insight??
  2. LT1's in general have a bit of valvetrain noise stock. Mine is actually very quiet. Adjustment w/ roller rockers is cake (I adjust mine w/ the car running; works out very well). For the best reasonably priced setup, get a set of Comp Pro Mags non-self alinging 1.6RR's w/ hardended pushrods, and Comp guideplates (don't use Crane guide plates, as I found out the hard way they require more valve cover clearancing without any benefit). Springs probably wouldn't be a bad idea. Set of LT4 valve covers can also make a difference in the noise as well.
  3. What, because I don't leg hump your g/f?
  4. As long as the install is solid, it should go down rarely if at all (at least w/ WOW). Extended lenght power outages in a neighborhood (many hours/days) would eventually kill off the back-up batteries in the system, but usually during those lengths of outages, other utilites are affected as well, so it's not really a valid point. And contrary to what some believe, digital phone service DOES work with security systems.
  5. I don't think so. From what I read in other threads, CRX boy came across 3 lanes going the other direction to hit him!
  6. I just saw this. I think people bitch a bit too much about trails. I went to a test and tune night a few weeks ago. Pulled a 1.61 60', and I definately could have pulled a better one that night. Stick car w/ juice (not an easy combo to launch), stock front suspension w/ swaybar attached and heavy-ass front tires, 26x11.5x16 older ET Streets out back w/ rear suspension goodies. I think I could have very realisticly went down to a 1.57 60' that night.....probably still spinning. tongue.gif They are most definately no Norwalk when it comes to track prep, but hell it's kind of nice to know I can run a certain time without having to be at the most ideal of tracks to do it. I think calling it average would be fair.
  7. Nope, I go by my real name there. I been a member there 1999, before I even had nitrous on my car, hence no Nitrousbird name there. I'm the moderator of the GP forum.
  8. Been posted here before, and yes that guy is a total jackass.
  9. Opps, my bad. Yeah, 6 up front w/ 6 brake pads, 4 out back w/ 4 brake pads. 06 Z06 >> 04 CE Z06 (best of the C5 Z06's). Of course, for a 10k price premium, it should be.
  10. You must be blind then. smile.gif I said C6, not C5 vs. C5 Z06, which is simply a FRC w/ side vents and front fencing in the grilles w/ slightly bigger wheels (visually speaking of course). The 06 Z06 looks different at all angles, IS A WIDER CAR (big difference), etc. I'll just quote from an article I read: BTW, those are all differences from that of the standard C6. Not mentioned are the noticably bigger brakes vs. even a Z51 car, another visual upgrade (opps, forgot, C5 Z06 got red calipers). Of course it still looks like a Vette....IT IS A VETTE! It would be stupid to go too far from the original; hell, an EVO still looks like a Lancer. A WRX Sti still looks like a WRX. A Mustang Cobra still looks like a Mustang. The million 911 versions still look like 911 cars. That pretty much goes for most cars w/ an upper model.
  11. This is all public info, do a search. MSRP for a "base" Z06 is 65k (which is still chock full of options). Loading it to the kilt brings you a little over 70k. Exhaust has a vaccum actuated muffler "bypass" once you are at a high enough load/RPM. The 4 piston calipers also have individual brake pads for each piston. smile.gif Good fairly current link to 06 Z06
  12. These "I'm leaving" posts are so fucking stupid. If you don't like it here, don't post anymore. It's that freaking simple. Instead, you want to attention whore to yourself, act all high and mighty how "xxx.com" site is better than this one, I'm better than you guys, so I'm leaving. Guess what: we don't give a shit.
  13. I smell NERDS!!! tongue.gif
  14. Ummm, the Z06 does look significantly different than a standard C6. This "Blue Devil" seen is probably nothing more than whatever motor they are develping slapped into a stock Z06. That said, I HIGHLY doubt weight would get down to 2900 lbs w/ out some major sacrifices. The car is already 3100lbs (Z06) using some CF pieces, mag engine cradle, alum. frame. Dropping 200lbs while adding the weight of forced induction.....I doubt it.
  15. WOW > TW. (Road Runner is just a third party support/web/email hosting service, people love to buy into that marketing crap though.......). BTW, tampering w/ cable filters is a Class 4 Felony if I remember correctly. smile.gif
  16. As said, the rear O2 sensors aren't used by the OBD-I PCM. Neither is the crank positioning sensor. I have never even looked around on f-body.org and was a member of Fbody.com 5-6 years ago before it turned into the crap hole it has been for the past several years. I'm a regular (and moderator) at camaroz28.com
  17. I may own a Mustang, but I don't think Mustang enthusiasts would want me there. That, and I'd probably show up in the Formula.......
  18. Pics and vids, pics and vids, pics and vids......
  19. Pics and vids, pics and vids, pics and vids......
  20. Uh, no. Do you think Ferrari spends millions and millions of dollars on wind tunnel testing for their cars just so some joker slaps a big wing on the back for shits and giggles?
  21. How about some info on how I can buy these DVD's. See the above post, I assume these are not ripped movies, otherwise I have no interest in them.
  22. My bad. And damn, that's overkill.
  23. I saw it at the car show this year, and one on the road a few weeks ago. LAME LAME LAME LAME LAME!!! The original and the concept are both 100x better looking than this car. It's a huge disappointment.
