  1. So what is your solution?? I mean, if they break it, they break it, right?? Are you guys supposed to tear them apart and fix them at a component level, or have them replaced. Or do you even have them replaced at all, or rather the user has to go through the proper channels w/ their supervisor to have them replaced?
  2. Though I never drove one, I sat in an IS300 back to back with several other Lexus cars. It really felt like a poor man's Lexus in comparison to all of their other products. CTS-V = awesome. Should get pretty decent mileage for a big car w/ a V8. RX8; torqueless rotary that sounds like ass, the little third door thing is cheesy IMO. G35 us alright, but doesn't really do it for me. What about an 05 GTO?? Definately in the same price range as a G35, but should be a HELL of a lot faster. 400HP LS2, bigger brakes than the 04, will be available w/ hood scopps, dual outlet exhaust now; basically many of the complaints of the 04 GTO have been addressed.
  3. WS6 badge is quite ricey. It isn't a WS6, so why badge it as one?
  4. Nifty, but I wonder how it actually works out in the real world. The car seems a bit short on power though, especially by supercar standards.
  5. You need to tread very lightly as we all saw the POS Accord you drove around; nice blue Z3 fenders there bud. Pathetic, seriously. I've never owned ANYTHING cammo, I've never been in the military, and I don't hunt. I've lived in suburbs pretty much my whole life. There is no evidence anywhere in my past that I would be into something like that AT ALL. It looks freaking stupid as hell. But nice try Berto.
  6. I don't have any shield on my 50" Toshiba. As long as you don't have children smashing their hands on it, or animals jumping on the screen, there really isn't a need for one.
  7. No, you guys are giving them credit for the Honda motor swap as if they swapped in something better; they swapped in a rebuilt version OF THE SAME MOTOR!
  8. I've never been without a roomate since I moved out after HS at 18. That said, I have ALWAYS lived with friends, and it has worked out very well. Both of my roomates are good friends of mine (one is only here on the weekends), and I hang out with them more than anyone else. I'm in the position you are in Chris. I own my house, and most of the stuff in it, especially the shared type items, are mine. It has NEVER been a problem. About the only thing I have to bitch about is putting my DVD's back in the case. They respect my stuff, I respect theirs, adn it works out well.
  9. Approx 6k. But on a stock car w/ stock CR (or hell, even w/ hogged out heads), the STS kit won't lag to 4500.....most likely to about 3500, which of course is below the shift points. On the bigger setups, it isn't as bad since most of those folks are runnning auto's w/ big stalls, which keeps the car better into the boost. Still, the same cars would simply run quicker w/ a PTK kit for the same $$.
  10. I've heard of people doing that before; pretty cool. There is a Benz in New Albany w/ plates reflecting there is an LT1 under the hood.
  11. There are a number of people who swear by this setup. One of the STS cars were in GMHTP last issue. There are a couple cars making good power w/ it; in the 700HP range. That said those cars don't fully spool until 4500RPM or so. Even on a stock car running low boost, it still has a bit of lag. Basically, the system DOES work, but there are much better alternatives. Check this out: http://www.forcedinductions.com/GMkits.htm For basically the same price, you can get a PTK intercooled kit with a T70. A lot of people really like this kit, and it works well. I can't understand why you would want an STS kit when you could go with a PTK kit for the same money.
  12. My roomate and I were heading back to Mario's after we picked up my 95 Jimmy 4x4 from where we had it parked before we all went out. We decided to make a video before arriving at his house: Even stock daily drivers can roll smoke Not too shabby for a stock 4.3L w/ an open rear end and 31" tires. You really gotta modulate the gas/brake to not get the damn thing to upshift while burning out.
  13. The LS1 has had 6 bolt mains since it came out in 97, along with all of the other Gen III motors; and is just a cary over for GEN IV motors.
  14. I bet 60k tops; I'm going to bet it will be the same price difference as a C5 vs. C5 Z06. GM knows the C5 Z06 was a hot seller, and I'm sure they aren't going to take a chance on overpricing the car out of the market. Though honestly, 70k would be MORE than a fair price too; no factory stock car at even 70k can touch a regular C6, let alone a Z06. But I'm sure GM doesn't want to turn the new Z06 into the next ZR1; that was what the Blue Devil was supposed to be, but it probably won't be built.
  15. My roomate went; he should be back soon from it. Wish I could have went.
  16. +2. Not that I don't like the GT, I think it is pimp as hell. I just think they priced it out of its league. A 100k MSRP would have made it a hot seller in the lower-end exotic market.
  17. Ummm, yeah, well......wow. I'm at a loss for words.
  18. Any more pics; those have all been posted. I'd love to see some more side pics and a rear pic. smile.gif
  19. Fastest 6-speed stock suspended 4th Gen = LT1 Fastest auto stock suspended 4th Gen = LS1, but is only .06 quicker and 2MPH slower than the LT1. The LT1 can hold its own.
  20. IMO why swap in something you could just buy anyway (LT1/LS1 car). Throw in a BBC, or a turbo Buick motor.
  21. 0-60 times = graemlins/supergay2.gif They really don't tell crap about a car; I could make a 17 second car run 0-60 times that fast with slicks and enough gearing. 60' and 1/8 mile times/traps give a far better idea of what a car can do out of the hole. This EVO is a complete rip-off. You could have any number of professional builders take a brand new EVO, do all that stuff within a week to the car, and spend FAR less money in the process.
  22. Looking at the video, probably none; that group looked like a big collection of altezza's, fart cans, and 747 wings......putting true performance investments last. Coming from someone who ISN'T a street racer, that is one HUGE waste of police/taxpayer resources. Of course, departments in general care about two things: crimes that generate them money and crimes that get them on TV. And my god, is there a SINGLE reporter out there that can do a street racing story that knows anything about cars??
  23. It's funny because it's true. smile.gif
