  1. Who has a 10 second import here?? There are 10 second street car domestics here; they don't post very often.
  2. But the fact is that it is a fake; the guy that made the video posts on another board I moderate, and clearly stated the video was staged to make the GoPed win.
  3. In your first post on the board: Losing my posting V-card you said: I replied in that post with: "No....that is freaking hideous. It looks like an 05 GT had sex with a 35th SS, and that was the down-syndrom offspring that resulted." Others replied with similar objections to that picture.
  4. I work for their competitor, WOW Internet and Cable. From what I heard a few months ago they laid off/fired a bunch of people because of a lack of business (a bunch of my co-workers are former TW employees). They must have gotten rid of a few too many!

You could get Magnesium rims as an option on the C5's, so this isn't the first time this metal has been used on a Vette.
  6. My parents fell for the whole Kirby thing. Freaking rip off IMO; way too heavy/bulky for its own good, and wasn't impressive at all IMO, especially for the insane price. I really like the looks/features of the Dyson, and would love to get one. The price is hard to swallow though; there are a lot of other things I'd rather have for $400.
  7. Damn, no wonder my mom always tells me I was the good kid. I got good grades for the most part, rarely got in trouble, etc. My 1/2 sister on the other hand. Take someone who isn't all that bright to begin with, 19 w/ the maturity level of maybe a 15-16 year old, and a "I just don't care attitude." It isn't a lack of challenge with her.....she isn't bright enough to need more of a challenge. She is now taking classes for her Good Enough Diploma, but I personally doubt she will be able to get it. She was an 18 year old Freshman in HS, and my mom wouldn't let her go back again (failing Freshman year 3 times is enough, plus she failed the 7th grade). My youngest 1/2 brother is a Freshman this year, and refused to be in the same grade as our sister. smile.gif Oddly, he does decent in school; same parenting/environment/school/parents. Sadly, there just isn't hope for some people, unless they truely want to help themselves. My mom tried about eveything you can imagine with my sister. Bribes, grounding, after-school tutoring, ADD medication, yelling at her (my mom's yelling still scares the shit out of me), etc.
  8. Repost, and is a fake, setup race.
  9. Definately the bear! I ain't no flower-power hippie.
  10. That's not a race car.
  11. I'm going to bet it is the switch; probably a short in it. Shouldn't be hard to find in a junk yard. When did you get a Mercury Sable?? graemlins/nonono.gif
  12. They stopped hiring after Cisco bought them out......trust me, I tried to get my job back when I was laid off, and the supervisors wanted me back, but were told they can only fire, not hire.
  13. I love both. Sadly, I've seen every single Family Guy episode multiple times, so it just isn't the same (thank god they are coming back next summer!).
  14. Out of a slim chance I might know this girl, is it an auto w/ no spoiler, and is your g/f thin w/ long blonde hair (had an ex w/ a white 98 V6, and I fear for and will warn anyone suckered into dating her).
  15. That just screams of scam. I love the "This is your chance to own one of the rarest and classiest looking Ducati's available anywhere FOR 6000 US dollars buy it now". Too bad this auction isn't using the Buy It Now feature, lol. I mean come on, if you are going to try to pull that off, at least get it right. Of course badly misspelling motorcycle was a nice touch.
  16. LOL; damn.....maybe I should give them a chance. I'm sure for the right price they could make me a custom set. smile.gif
  17. Thankfully, none of the rim sizes come anywhere near fitting my car.
  18. Yuck. Those have been out for a while; I've hate them as much now as when they came out. Blah. Go buy an HID conversion if lighting is that important! Those just look so cheap and slapped on to me. The only ones I've ever seen (only in pics) that looked decent were the 98 Firehawk Prototype headlights. But you can't buy them and SLP will never produce them.
  19. Agreed. That DC ending couldn't have been any worse.
  20. Not even comparable/competing cars. The only current Porsche in a CTS-V's price range would be a Boxter....CTS-V >> Boxter. The cheapest 911 starts out at 70k....well above a loaded CTS-V. How is this a Grandpa car?? http://www.rsportscars.com/foto/04/ctsv04_02_800.jpg Cadillac has done a LOT to shed its image of a grandpa mobile. Their trucks (Escalade/ESV/EXT) are definately not grandpa like.......they seem to be the current "pimp" mobiles; I don't condone that image of them, but it is what it is. The XLR is most definately NOT a grandpa car. The CTS was designed around bringing in more youthful buyers. The new STS is definately becoming more "youthful." The only grandpa car left in the lineup is the Deville. The CTS-V is an awesome car. I personally can't justify buying a brand new car, when I can buy someone's pampered 2 year old car at a HUGE savings w/ a year warranty left. I'd much rather let someone else eat the heaviest depreciation (certain vehicles excluded if incentives on leftovers are huge enough to keep 2 year depreciation to a minimum). There really isn't a lot out there that does a good job at being direct competition w/ the CTS-V. M3 is only a 2-door, so that doesn't count. The 545i costs more and I'd definately put my money on the CTS-V at the track....by far. Audi A8 costs way more and a lot bigger. The S4 would compete fairly well, but I'd bet get ate up in a straight line. Benz offers NOTHING in a 4-door near 50k that could even distantly keep up with any of the above mentioned. Japanese?? GS430 doesn't have a prayer. Infiniti....nothing worth mentioning. Acura....the RL and TL won't be getting it done. The CTS-V simply fills one spot in the market that was empty....a high performance Sedan in the 50k market.
  21. I have a 95 Jimmy 4x4, but I've never really looked at much of the 4WD setup. 4WD low and high both work fine, so I just kinda leave it at that. What motor does yours have? I don't recall seeing a vaccum line like that on mine; CPI 4.3L.
  22. Wow, that's a dark beer (as I sip on my cheap High Life I picked up at the gas station). I always enjoy reading your reviews, well knowing I wouldn't enjoy the beer you consume. smile.gif
  23. Ugh....I'm not really looking forward to it. First, I have to drive a 1/2 hour to pick up my g/f, then another 1/2 hour to her aunt's b/f's house, so we can have a late lunch/dinner w/ them and her parents/brothers. After that, it's an hour drive from there to my dad's house, to have dinner with my family. I might go visit my grandma (mom's side) before I go to my dad's dinner, since she decided not to do Thanksgiving this year. The of course the 2 hours of driving for me to get home. Yippie!! SO let's see: 4 hours of driving and answering the same questions people ask me at family functions "where do you work now, what company is that, what do you do, do you like your job" over and over sounds like a blast. Ugh.
