  1. NOS is a company. It is called nitrous oxide, or N2O. But this description says NOTHING about the cars. What models were they, what motors did they have, and what motor work was done to them. Mid-70's is pretty much THE worst time for automobiles as far as horsepower is concerned, due to the emissions standards put into place and the fuel crisis of that era. If they were 17 second cars to begin with, and run 14 flats w/ a 150 shot, that's not bad at all (assuming no other major work is done to them). This goes for any car of that era.
  2. No....that is freaking hideous. It looks like an 05 GT had sex with a 35th SS, and that was the down-syndrom offspring that resulted.
  3. I would have shat myself if I was the guy in the other lane. That was a damn miracle he saved that car. I'd love to see that at a closer shot or different angle! Was there a reason why he got loose on the big end?
  4. According to this it was engine failure: http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/england/2168921.stm
  5. Keep delaying. The ground is way too warm for the snow to stick. Of course the salt retards will still spray that liquid salt crap everywhere, making a nice mess.
  6. What does the A/C have to do with anything?? I removed my perfectly working A/C just because it gets in the way underhood (and dropped 40lbs, but more because it makes the car easier to work on). Seriously, Ohio doesn't get that hot.....I've yet to miss my A/C.
  7. Ugh, Black Friday. Thank god I don't work retail, though I do work Friday and am on the road a lot = retard shoppers running around.
  8. - Safety....when going that fast, it is just good sense - Not enjoying getting kicked out of track after track. Or being banned from running all together - My suggestion w/ a 5-point w/ removable side bar still allows for a pretty streetable setup. The worst part of it is no back seat use (mine has been gone for years, as it is worthless anyway), and you can't ghetto lean your seat (I still have enough incline on my seat to be plenty comfortable) - Weight.....200lbs on a 5 or 6 point cage....hardly. Mine is mild steel, and I'd estimate it was around 120-140lbs total, and is a 6-point unit w/ fixed side bars. A Chrome Moly cage will take a huge chunk of that off. There are plenty of caged street cars out there, including a few daily drivers. I daily drove my car w/ the cage for a while, though the side bars do get annoying very quickly.
  9. 1: Good idea 2: AWESOME idea 3: Never thought of that, but a good idea too 4: TERRIABLE IDEA #1 way to set yourself up with a money grubber.....no need to put $$ in her eyes 5: Good, but you have to pick something she will like, which may be difficult 6: Great 7: I'd say a lot of chicks probably aren't into this....definately has to be a certain kind of woman 8: Very good idea 9: Awesome w/ the right chick 10: Another fun idea I see 9 oout of 10 ideas that are great. Just one dangerous idea in there!!!
  10. Get a dual-layer burner....they are really coming down in price. The discs are still pricey the last time I checked though. Once they come down, I may invest in one.
  11. Do a 5 point, removable side bar, and chrome moly. Trust me.
  12. Though it has been mentioned, it hasn't been stressed; in general, power doesn't damage a speaker.....DISTORTION DOES. As for Audiobahn, I've been very impressed w/ their stuff so far. I have been very impressed with the Audiobahn 12" sub in my car. I'm sure part of that is because it has been powered by a nice amp (Memphis 1000D). It definately exceeded my expectations. I've also purchased two sets of their "entry level" component speakers. Put a set in my g/f's car, and a set in my Jimmy, just to replace damaged stock equipment. Her powered by a low end JVC head unit, mine by a lower-end Pioneer. In both vehicles, they sound surprisingly good for what they are being powered with. Then you look at the price.....$85 shipped for a BRAND NEW (not refurbed) set of component speakers that sound pretty good and are solidly built (and look good too) is a damn good deal. I may be trying their amps soon.....I've been so pleased with the sheer value of their speakers, I'm willing to try their amps too (my Memphis amp developed a bad problem that may cost more to repair than is worth sinking into it). My Jimmy could also use a sub, so I may consider an Audiobahn amp for it too.

    neuter?

Yeah, a razor blade, a soldering iron (to stop the bleeding) and you'll be good to go. Of course that is beyond evil.........
  14. Sounds like you have a little sand in your pussy. You may want to clean that out. BTW, don't let the door hit your ass on the way out; you WON'T be missed (though I know you won't leave, you are just whining). The only time ever I'll agree with this dumb ass whistle.[/QB] They unbanned your sorry ass AGAIN. Can you do us all a favor and make some racist comments and threaten a bunch of people....maybe then we won't have to hear from you again. You are like freaking herpes....you just keep coming back (I figured that's an analogy you would be fimilar with).
  15. - Fully re-wiring the car. Years of adding/removing/changing stuff has turned the wiring into a nasty hack job....time to start fresh. - Building a custom exhaust that will work with my subframe connectors. Our H-pipe attempt was a no go due to the style of connectors I have, and just straight bullets off of the headers is very annoying - Brake work. Replace the pads, bleed the system again, fix an ABS wiring harness that got ripped apart a while ago while doing other work to the car. - Clean the car up inside and out; basically try to get the car looking presentable again. - 58mm or monoblade throttle body if I can come up with some cash, as the stocker is definately holding the car back. Most likely not, as I have other important projects to take care of. Maybe I can cheap out and get a ported stocker.....at least I could eventually turn around and sell that at no $$ loss.
  16. Today's OSU/Michigan game AGAIN reinforced a common theme. No matter how EITHER team played for the season, it means nothing on that game day. Either team could loose every game that seaon, and still come to beat the other team for just that one win for the season. This is exactly why the Michigan/OSU game is so compelling nation wide. That said.....Michigan favored by 5 didn't seem to work out too well for them. I was hoping for an OSU win, and figured OSU had a 75% chance of pulling it off (home game + the only way to salvage this season at all). But for OSU's offense to actually show up for the first time this year, and to beat the crap out of Michigan....now THAT is something to be impressed with.
  17. Didn't say much. And as much as you may hate Stern, he will be around a while. Sirius is paying him a HUGE amount of money (100 MILLION dollars over 5 years). That's more than he is making now I'm sure. I wish he had gotten a contract w/ XM. But XM is getting into pay services which sucks too (have to pay $2/month to hear O&A). Looks like I'll be getting a Sirius unit after Xmas. smile.gif
  18. Tickets go on sale tomorrow. My roomate and I are definately going. We saw them with Cold a few months ago, and the concert was freaking awesome. I've been a fan ever since their self titled album (which is their first) came out. Magna-fi and Bobaflex are opening for them. I've seen Bobaflex at the Al Rosa before, and they are pretty decent. I've never heard of Magna-fi. Should be a pretty awesome concert. Looks like tickets will be in the low $20 range.
  19. That's been around for a while. And anyone who falls for something that obvious gets exactly what they deserve.
  20. This isn't the first time SB has been through a computer. Remember the early SB e-mails, he had the old broke Apple Star computer, w/ the green screen. Compy 386 is an upgrade....perhaps he will be moving up to a 486.
  21. I'm sorry, but drifting is nothing but a ricer trend. Just because Jack-lkjsadflkjdaflkj Kuma-wlkjnekljsjl does it 2000 miles from here doesn't mean shit to me. Show me any racing event (be it Nascar, F1, CART, IRL, Trans Am, GT Cup, etc.) where drifting is part of their racing. Sure, maybe in rally where they are running on dirt roads, but that's not exactly comparable, now is it??
  22. Screw that, ESPN Magazine needs to quit trying to dig up dead stories from admited criminal thugs to get ratings. The NCAA already did an investigation, yet STILL ESPN wants to listen to Maurice and all of his BS.
  23. I have a broken set off of my 95 Jimmy; they are power though. - Driver's side is fine except the mirror glass is broke. Power motor works fine - Passenger side had good glass, but is broken where it mounts to the door pilar. - Both have their wiring harnesses, but the factory connecter is cut off. I replaced these with a set of "M3" mirrors.....I'm willing to get rid of these cheap. smile.gif
