I'm not trying to compete at all...hell, I'd love to have that car in that garage, and would option it about the same. I just don't consider it a gift. To say she selected a bad-ass car for you, then there is an accurate statement IMO. Or she made a sweet-ass suprise purchase for you. Love the car, hate the word usage. I could soley support my wife, just not at the lifestyle we currently live. Doesn't matter, I don't want a house wife, and my wife doesn't ever want to be out. Buying someone a $200 present with their money might be considered a gift...buying a $80,000 car is not. But call it what you like, doesn't make a difference to me. There is no such thing as the mafia. Get the picture?

Now that I've had my phone for a day, I've been playing with its features, and integration into other things I have. Questions: 1. iPhone doesn't seem to like Firewire. Normally I used my Firewire cord to sync my iPod. I thought Firewire was Apple's baby back in the day, so what gives? 2. I run an Pioneer Premier DEH-P980BT in my Avalanche, with the iPod controller. Basically, when I hook my iPod up, it lets me take over and control it via the head unit. Is there any way (or any app) that will let me do this with the iPhone? I get the "not compatiable with iPhone" and the won't charge the phone message. My hope was to be able to just ditch my iPod totally...right now, I have them both synced with the same material. 3. iPhone is the first Bluetooth device I've had with this head unit that actually seems to work well with it. Most of my calls echo like no other, but my wife said it wasn't echoing using it today with the iPhone. I was also able to sync the BT Audio with the iPhone, and listed to the iPod function and Pandora through it - the sound quality was excellent as well (couldn't hear any difference between the BT Audio and the iPod). Problem: this head unit SUCKS for auto-syncing Bluetooth. To do it, I have to manually go to the Settings > General > Bluetooth > Select the device. Any way to make this process automatic, or less menus to navigate? 4. Is there a way to save passwords / frequently typed things, so I don't have to always retype them? 5. Can you sync iTunes with your PC via Bluetooth? 6. What are some good, free, must-have apps? I'll probably Jailbreak the phone down the road a bit, but want to keep it as-is for a little while at least.

My wife doesn't dig into my bank account to buy me stuff.

You are a big girl, aren't you? I don't know you, never seen a picture or anything, but your past two posts are typical big girl statements. The chick in the commercial is a thick girl with no gut. Fat titis, yes, which are not impressive at tall. Thick everywhere, yes. That broad would be hot if she lost 30lbs or so.

No, Sprint doesn't have the same coverage. My work has Sprint...I've had them for about 7 years. I've had an old i350 and 500, Treo 600, 650, 700, Centro, one or two HTC phones, and now my Treo Pro. One thing is consistant...Sprints service has sucked ON ALL OF THOSE PHONES. All of my coworkers have had similar experiences. Calls dropping, not coming through, we use a lot of data and all sorts of data issues. Voice mail popping up a couple days later; all sorts of fun stuff. I will say the coverage is a lot better than it was 5 years ago. But there are still times when I could have my hunk of shit Verizon phone next to my Sprint phone, and have service on the Verizon and nothing on the Sprint phone. PLEASE explain how that is the same coverage. I don't care how fancy the phones are, the discount we get (wife gets an even bigger discount through Sprint), or how cheap the rate is...I will never use Sprint for my personal services. It is garbage.

It will work through WOW. WOW is a "digital" line, but it converts from analog to digital at the EMTA (the modem by your computer). Faxes work just fine through the EMTA, so dial up can work as well.

I got the iPhone. So far, we have traveled around through Dublin, Hilliard, and Powell, with good 3G service. Web browsing has been plenty fast. I am really liking this phone so far. I honestly just need decent coverage around town, which is what I think I will get. AT&T guy also offered us $100 in accessories (we weren't going to buy any, as they are a rip off at the store), and said he would credit out bill $100. Seemed like a no-brainer to me; both got Otterboxes, a car charger, and anti-glare screen protectors.

- Build a second garage - Mastercraft X-55 Those are my top two. -
I have been a Verizon customer for about 8 years now. But Verizon doesn't seem to have the packages we want. We don't talk on the phone a lot, text a little bit. Currently don't have "smart" phones but want them. AT&T has 550 minutes family + rollover for $59.99 Verizon: 700 w/ no rollover for $69.99 Winner: AT&T by a long shot Data plans = same $30 cost. Texting: Verizon = 250 texts per phone for $5/month each AT&T = 200 texts for $5. Since we currently only do about 30-40 texts a month, I can't see us going over 200. Wife gets 23% off with AT&T, 22% off with Verizon. AT&T = winner again. Moto Droid and 16GB 3GS iPhone = same price. I think I'd prefer the Droid slightly, but I don't see me going crazy with this (I've had Palm phones for years through work). The fact my head unit in my Avalanche has an iPod controller, meaning I can keep all my music on the phone and ditch my iPod is another big plus. I'd get an iPod controller for my wife's deck too - another big plus, making the iPhone only a slightly worse selection over the Droid. I know I will be losing out some on coverage and reliability, but honestly those aren't all that important to me. Give me a reason to keep Verizon, quick!

If you earned 100% of the money used to purchase this car, how is this a gift? Just to make sure I wasn't off base - I reconfirmed with my wife, who also said this is NOT A GIFT. Sweet ass car you purchased yourself.

Excluding the front-on view, I just can't dig the styling of the B8 over the B7. But the B6 looks way more dated than a B7. My wife & I test drove some late B6's, but she was more than happy to pay the price premium to get her B7 instead. I would love to sport an S5 (or RS5 when released here), but if I was blowing that kind of cash, there are many, MANY other things I'd buy instead. -
Looks sweet. Being a 2002, it doesn't have all the issues the 2001's have. I know I love my 04. Happen to have any stock front suspension parts laying around that need sold?

I have a black one if that will work for you. Have an over the range microwave and fridge (fridge needs repair) that I would sell with it.

This & This. Can't they just do away with testicle radio all together and use that bandwidth for something more useful? Fuck it, make it go all digital like they did with broadcast television.

I have a set of 26x11.5x16 ET Streets on Centerline wheels that should fit nicely, that I might consider renting for the right price. They might be more tire than you need though.

OLD...I remember this from years ago.

Ouch, renting an ATV isn't cheap. I'm sure you aren't riding some you'd really WANT to ride either. But pay for trail access? Screw that, I'll just get my year permit at Wayne again. Far more trails.

My house is all electric with a heat pump. When the temps are above 35 or so, the heat pump does all the work, and the electric bill isn't all that bad. With this past cold winter and the heat strips in the furnace doing the work...I was paying $400/month for electric. Brand new 5-ton Carrier heat pump (their best model). If she can do natural gas as a backup instead of electric, the heat pump would be a great addition and save her some $$.

I've had nothing but good luck with NGK...so I'd suggest that.

You could just buy a panel from a 93-97 Formula, as they are blank.

He's had it that way for years. Running ET Streets and ET Drag Radials. Not anything even close to a daily driver, but the car does get run on then street.

No, it's ideas like that which make people without kids pay a fortune for those that choose to have them, and kill the budgets of seniors on fixed incomes that have to pay for these kids too. Do you feel good when another senior has to sell their paid off home because they simply can't afford the heavy property tax increases caused by school levies over the years? Simple solution - forced taxation on those with school aged children. You choose to have kids, you are forced to pay for them. It's called personal responsibility, and a way to discourage idiots from having a pile of kids they won't properly care for.

Funny, I've rode in and driven Mario's Camaro on the street, which is far faster than anything in this thread, and it isn't bad with a spool at all. Full interior street car.
