Did you actually see it, or are you just shooting off at the mouth?
  2. Ahh, Enfig Car Stereo was "supposed" to be good according to what others said on some other forums. Yeah, so they send an e-mail soon after I placed my order, saying there was a delay in one of the items (didn't mention which one), and wouldn't ship it until the 30th. Since Janet gets back here on the 30th, that doesn't work. I e-mailed them that night asking what item it was, and to just omitt it from the order so they could ship right away. Well, it's Sunday night and still no response, so I had to say screw them and ordered everything off of E-bay. Couldn't get the Connects2 trim ring, so I had to go the Metra route instead (which was about 1/2 the price). If I don't like the Metra unit I can always upgrade later. Still need to source a cheap Eclipse Sirius tuner.....
  3. Ahh, more "Leno" material that was lifted from the Howard Stern show. Go figure. Don't forget about the "Green Car." Oh wait, let's start lifting shit from Top Gear now too.

Great movie; I hear of reviews of people saying it wasn't good, but I haven't heard from anyone who has actually seen it say it was bad. The IMAX 3D (Easton) was nothing short of amazing. It was so realistic that you started to forget it was 3D. I hope they do a Blu-ray 3D version when it come out, because I WILL have that (my TV has some 3D feature...wonder if it could be utilized...I never looked up the tech on that). The story line was a bit predictible, but still really good. Just a really enjoyable movie that never felt long to me at all.

Why not just take the insurance company's check and do minimal repairs to it?
  7. I fell asleep on the couch, just woke up and there is snow on the ground now. Ugh. Maybe I'll break out the wife's quad tomorrow for a bit, since mine is still broken from wrecking it.
  8. I'm not one to defend TW by any means, but this is shitty on Fox's part. Just like it is shitty the NFL network charges MORE to actually see football games on their channels. ALL of these different broadcasters are trying to get every freaking penny than can out of cable/dish providers, and consumers some how expect that it won't come back to them? You say only $1/month. Let's say they have 1 million video subscribers (I'm sure TW has way more than that nation wide). That's $12,000,000 a year MORE to carry one freaking channel. Insanity. Cable/Dish aren't making the margins they once did. If it wasn't for VOIP/HSD services, most cable companies would be out of business by now. Dish has it a bit easier as their overhead is a lower, but don't have the other technologies to fall back on either.
  9. I don't think tuning would be much more difficult than if it was a turbo-only car. I also don't hear any straight-cut gear whine...only supercharger whine, which is much better.

I can't wait to see that movie! Bad ass.
  11. Wife's 06 A4. Since she has owned it, it has been under the free dealer maintenance. That is over, and I need to change the oil (which BTW, is a stupid PITA compared to most cars out there). - Which filter to get? Hell, I see Fram, Mobil, STP, K&N, and factory Audi. Stupid canister oil filters...it's not 1950 anymore Audi. - Oil? Obviously a full synthetic, but suggested viscosity and brand. I want decent stuff, as I don't want to change the oil every 3k on this car. It's wife driven, though there is no boost gauge I doubt it is ever into the boost much as the only thing she is hard on is the brakes.
  12. Ehhh, Saab sucked anyway. They really were only good for the used market, since they depricated so fast you could get a nice, decent car for fairly cheap.
  13. Awesome, I'll have to play it tonight.
  14. Who the hell comes up with these retarded plates, and more so, who freaking approves them?
  15. Why close them? As long as there is no annual fee and no balance, why get rid of that credit history by closing the account?
  16. I just got back from working on my stupid Reynoldsburg house. Was coming down decently there, up until I hit about the Easton area, then it died off. Zero signs of it here in Powell.
  17. WOW. The look could be improved on...the performance can be left as-is. It sounds cool as hell, but especially from a weight standpoint on a car like this, wouldn't have just going a turbo alone been a smarter way to go?
  18. Well, things I have discovered: Connects2 does not make a unit that works with an Eclipse Navigation unit. I had to buy a PAC SWI-CAN and SWI-ECL2 There are a ton of antenna options it seems. Enfig said I needed the VW54 unit, though it looks almost the same as the 53. So I just ordered what they suggested. They also said I neeed the Metra 1787 harness, though I've seen things for the 1784 too. I found a 1787 for a better price than the online stores, so I got it there, and got the 1784 for $2.99 shipped, so that should be covered. Radio keys were ordered for $4.50 shipped. Ordered the Connects2 dash mount, as it is said to look the most OEM of all of them. Enfig claims I need to get a cage for my Eclipse, as the dash kits have no way to attach them without it. I've seen pics online that lead me to believe otherwise, so I'm going to wing it once the dash kit arrives (hopefully early next week). I also ordered a 2-line High-Low converter, since the Eclipse unit has no pre-amp out (which sucks), as I need that for the rear channels I suppose. I got a decent one with noise cancellation and is adjustable. All I "think" I still need to order is the Eclipse Sirius tuner. In the end, I'll have spent almost as much to install this Nav unit as I did for the unit itself.
  19. I was able to watch a movie on the Netflix streaming that was never released on DVD (If Looks Could Kill), which was a pretty decent budget film, featuring a Lotus Espirit and 300ZX plus lots of action. Movie has only been released on VHS and Laserdisc, so it was nice to be able to see it. I think the Netflix moving streaming will only get better. There aren't a lot of new releases on there, but plenty of TV shows, comedy stuff, older movies, etc...plenty of stuff to watch.
  20. I used to be a Blockbuster online customer, but due to a pile of shipping issues (at the end I could never get 3 discs even though I paid for them), no longer making use of the in-store exchanges, and their aweful que policy (basically, if you have anything with a long wait at the top, you will wait far longer to get a disc, even though it probably won't be that disc...but if it isn't at the top, you will NEVER get that long wait disc). Customer service there sucked too. Netflix has a far better que policy, they ship much more quickly, I use the online streaming some with my PS3, and it is far easier to find movies through Netflix. I'll never go back to Blockbuster. The ONLY advantage to Blockbuster was the in-store exchange, but that went away after I moved out of Reynoldsburg and haven't lived close enough to a Blockbuster store since. I do about 24 discs a month too, without issue.
  21. Yup, Core i5 or i7, don't waste your time with anything less...you WILL regret it in the future if you do. Good power supply is NEVER a bad idea, and you can get one without paying a lot of money if you look.
  22. We had our wedding in Niagara Falls. Since my wife's family is from Newfoundland, and mine is from Ohio, this seemed like the easiest half way point. We expected 40 people, got about 65. Did a little chapel that was cute and photogenic, but nothing special. But we kept it short and funny, our dog was our ring bearer, and everyone enjoyed it. Cake wasn't overly fancy, but everyone said it was really good (I didn't get more than a bite of mine, so I couldn't comment). DJ was awesome; we did a kind of 80's theme for most of the music, and everyone seemed to like that a lot. DJ was really into the theme, which helped. We made our own center pieces, which saved us a LOT of cash and they looked really good too. We kept it light on the flowers, and did Calalillies (sp?) which made what we did have a lot more unique. We were in a very photo friendly area, so wedding photos were great. Found a very artsy-type photographer, so we got some pretty cool shots. But honestly, make it fun. I've been to a LOT of shitty receptions, and refused to let ours be one of them. I had a lot of the guests tell me that it was the best reception they have ever been to. I personally think ours was the best I've ever been to, and I have really only been to one other good reception (which they are now divorced, go figure), and that reception kept the fun theme as well. I can't stress enough...keep it FUN. You and your guests will enjoy the day a lot more, and it will be a wedding everyone will remember. Reception was the Falls View room as Sheraton on the Falls. Beautiful view/room, plated dinners, wine service, open bar (that cost us a fortune, since people probably didn't realize we were paying almost $5/beer).
  23. #1: Jason is a full size adult, and I've rode with him a couple of times, so it has no problem with that. #2: Keeps up on trails pretty well #3: It does NOT have 800cc power; it's not slow by any means, but it's not as quick as my Raptor either. #4: Seems to be a pretty solid runner, never had issues getting stuck on anything we went through, and is an excellent setup for a trail rider. My wife has a Trailblazer 250, which is also big enough for full-size adult, but the 400 is more appropriate for an larger guy.
  24. The 03-04 Cobra is a heavy ass ride as well.
