  1. Where's the Vector W8? 3-speed auto + 650HP TT Rodeck Block SBC + Mid-Engine = not slow down the 1/4 mile. Or the Vector M12 for that matter? Both are considered production cars, and were AMERICAN production cars. Actually, there seems to be a number of cars missing from that list.
  2. I would tell him not to, and try to prevent my kid from doing so, but shit happens. But if you are on my property and I tell you to stop, you should damn well stop. You think I am kidding?
  3. Programming costs are going up for everyone. Some of you are probably at the end of your price guarantee. TW prices went up. I think you are going to see a lot of those "super deals" going away from most providers, as operating at a loss isn't exactly working out for them. You would be amazed at the amount of money these programmers are trying to extort from companies. ESPN is now getting in the business of trying to charge ISP's to allow their customers to use the ESPN 360 video service on their website. Though data costs have went up a little based on more useage than ever, programming fees are through the roof. Someone has to pay for it.
  4. You can name it an Estate Wagon, an Avant, doesn't matter, it is still a station wagon. And there IS an Audi in my garage, but there won't be an Avant.
  5. The dog was on their property. It didn't run in the street. The driver was also signaled to stop. My dog is allowed wherever he wants on our property...that's why it is OUR PROPERTY. You drive up onto my driveway, and run over my dog after I told you to stop...well, you will end up at the bottom of a fucking lake, and that's a promise. That dog is like our kid.
  6. What's funnier is it can't be an LCD TV, as LCD's don't screen burn.
  7. Funny how the Cobra R's were selling for more than an 01 Z06, which is better than a Cobra R in every way.
  8. Kogens on Sawmill Parkway in Powell is pretty tasty.
  9. I am assuming it is a NFL Network game. If so, then no. Most cable companies are not paying the NFL Network's extortion fees...they charge enough just to carry the damn network. Time Warner won't have it either. They also won't allow a pay per-user deal either, as WOW would like to offer it to you. The percentage of people who would be okay with a bill increase to carry these games is pretty small.
  10. My question is if it is retroactive for tax year 2009? I spent a LOT of money on appliances this year, some of which are energy star stuff (front load washer/dryer, fridge, dishwasher, heat pump).
  11. To give the S2K some credit, that might not be the case. Compared to the other roadsters in it's class (give or take many thousands of dollars), it is more roomy than a Miata, Boxter, SLK, Z3/Z4, Solstice/Sky. I'm 6'3", 225, so I don't fit well in the tiny cars either, but the S2K seemed liveable.

    Magic Jack

Yes, I am VERY good at it. That said, I will not wire up Magic Jack for anyone. I will be happy to hook you up with a far better product (WOW Phone) for a reasonable price.
  13. LS1 can be swapped into those. I'd still rather have a C5.

    Magic Jack

Unless you understand how to wire phone, and how to wire phone lines correctly into a 31x jack, you should NOT take on that task yourself, as you will have no clue on how to obtain line seizure. Hell, half of the alarm installers are clueless on how to wire VOIP for line seizure.

    Magic Jack

http://www.voipreview.org/review/magicjack Not much positive from what I have read. I guess if you have a POS PC laying around you don't mind running 24x7, that it could be okay to put the Magic Jack on that. I sure as hell wouldn't put it on my main desktop. Doesn't sound like an overly reliable device either. That, and your average consumer has no fucking clue on how to wire in home phone wiring into a VOIP connection. Most consumers can't even disconnect the ILEC from the DMARC, let alone do any wiring fixes most homes require to reliably have VOIP through the existing wiring.
  16. Car: 06 A4 2.0T Quattro, non-bose, Symphony w/ Sirius (car didn't come with the Sirius tuner, I installed the factory tuner a year ago). I just bought a used Eclipse AVN20D unit from Big Steve. Things I think I will need: - The Connects2 rubber mounting kit - Antenna adapter, either Round style or Flat style (which one do I need???) - Wiring harness to connect in the decks wiring to the stock harness (I assume, or is this encompassed in the steering wheel controler wiring harness?). If needed, any links to what I should buy? - Eclipse Sirius tuner (is there an adapter out there to utilize the factory Sirius antenna?) - Steering wheel controller. I hear the Connects2 is the best for this as well. But do I need 07-08 style or the 02-06 style. I ask because 02-05 is a B6, 06-08 is a B7 car, so the split doesn't make sense. I could be totally off on which one is needed. But I HAVE to have functional steering wheel controls. Also, is it possible to use the factory GPS antenna in place of the Eclipse one? I don't mind doing some wire splicing if need be. My wife will be gone for X-mas this year (her family is outside the US, and I can't go with her this year), so I want to make sure it is all installed and perfect for when she returns. I have to have the steering wheel controls and Sirius working PERFECTLY or she will not be happy with it. Audi forums has been worthless thus far. Any links to cheaper stuff is greatly appreciated.
  17. Cinncy is going to get destroyed.
  18. Now there is where you make money...buying some cheap ass houses, and being a "slum lord" (though you really don't have to be a total slum lord, but just don't dump a bunch of cash into making the home nice). These nicer homes just aren't where the rental money is. Everyone that talks about "I'd rent my home and make all this money" are the same people who have never had a rental. It's work. People are hard on rentals, whether you think a big deposit and a background check makes any difference.
  19. And import fan boys have to quote HP/Liter to make up for the fact they can't make as much power on a far more expensive and "technically superior" engine. F' displacement...physical size of the motor is what really matters. And a OHV V8 is far more compact than a DOHC V8 with similar block sizes.
  20. You just gave an even WORSE reason to rent a house. Renters are hard on homes...very hard. Even renters you think would be nice to them can still beat them up pretty nicely. Put simply, I am doing every single wall and floor in my entire rental...every one. I don't even get how so much dust got on the ceiling in a little over a year when I lived in the place for years and never dusted the ceiling once. The renters turned a clean house into one that smelled like a mix of smoke/cat piss/cat shit. From what I've gathered from someone who rents a couple of homes in the 200-300k value range, they tend to be people who pay on time at first, then end up being non-payers. There is a reason they can't afford a house payment in many cases (obviously plenty of exceptions out there, but you are playing the odds). I too thought that having a rental would be awesome. It is anything but that. Most people that rent are just happy for the tax deduction, and typically take a yearly loss on the income of the home. Those with multi-dwelling units, apartment complexes, or a number of homes are the ones that can make a reasonable amount of cash.
  21. You should drive to Ohio and serve me cheese on your cheese board.
  22. As someone who has a rental, and is in the process of fixing it up and selling it...that's an aweful idea. Rentals are only really good if you have a bunch with a management company, and a decent enough income to cost ratio. For me, I LOVE our house, so I'd pay it off, then do another loan to build my dream garage, so I could still have a tax deduction.
