  1. Anyone have a stock one laying around? Mine has a hole in it. Just need the stock shroud-mounted bottle. My car is an 88 and does not have the low coolant sender in the overflow.
  2. Bought these about 2 years ago to tow and haul camping stuff but got lazy and just left my clamp-on helper leaves installed. They have been sitting around collecting dust but are as new and uninstalled. They are complete with bushings and U-bolts. The bushings are already pressed in and ready to install. They are $115 each, plus bushings and u-bolts. Selling the whole deal (2 leafs and all accoutrements) for $225. http://www.quadratec.com/products/56010_10.htm http://www.quadratec.com/Assets/Images/33688/33688-md.jpg They are supposedly copies of the OEM Up-Country leafs which will typically be around 1" taller than stock and offer a better load rating.
  3. I vote we call it "The Garbage Pail", thereby making it acceptable to refer to those afflicted as "Garbage Pail Kids". I think it sounds much better than Troll. :dumb:

  5. If it had alot of miles, putting a new cam & lifters in it while it's apart is probably good preventative maintenance, even if you just put a stock one in. A mild (RV) cam will certainly make more power too and probably not cost much more than a stock replacement. Or you could go with a moderate cam and one of these like a BAUCE: http://www.jegs.com/i/Offenhauser/750/6019-DP/10002/-1
  6. I have, since I exclusively drive rusted junk. Works really well but you absolutely have to follow the prep instructions. It's pretty thick though and would likely cover your timing marks. You could always throw a timing tape on there after you refinish it.

  8. Yeah, I should have waited for this. Too bad I already bought the coupe that runs on hopes and dreams (and jack stands) or I would be all over this.
  9. Sold. A guy who works for Boehringer Ingelheim (a German company with a facility near here) bought it this weekend and will be shipping it home to Germany. Sounded a little fishy at first, but he showed up with real cash.
  10. Someday I will have one of these with a Mazda B6T swap... Sadly I already have a never-ending fox project. Someone here should buy this and do it for me. :fa: Great commuter car too though. GLWS.
  11. I was thinking that too, except fuck lunch - I WANT THEM NOW
  12. This seems related to the hacking issue: http://autos.aol.com/article/hacking-into-your-car/
  13. Too much overlap sounds cool and all but can hurt power, especially on boosted cars. I'm still considering swapping out the B-cam in the fox because I'd like something with a wider lobe separation (less overlap - though it would be less lopey). I agree that's a hell of alot of money to spend on sound alone, but to each their own.
  14. This. Good beer. Good food. Good atmosphere. Family friendly. I drove down to Newport from Delaware a few weeks ago just to go there. :fuckyeah:

  16. my house is all electric. My neighbors converted to gas a few years before we moved in. I'm pretty sure they just called the gas company to get started (having it run into the house, etc). I don't think it really cost them alot because they said they had planned to replace their stove and such at that time anyway. When I talked to them about it they had no regrets, but they definitely spend more on energy than we do. I'm not sure what they keep their temperature set at in winter though. We keep it pretty cool in here, so that could be the source of the savings itself. I get a little paranoid when it's really cold out because I know the strip heat is on and it still runs nearly continuous. My electric bill shoots up to about $200/month during the coldest part of the winter.
  17. Just noticed that one of the colors is "asleep on the job gray". It's like they are openly marketing to the perpetually unemployed.
  18. When I saw the commercial I was thinking no fucking way this is for real... But apparently it is. http://www.orderforeverlazy.com :fa: Forever Lazy
