  1. It's 5/5/10 which is .1 so let's go Mountain Biking! I'll be up there around 6. I'm up for P1 or P2, but P2 is more likely to be dry so I'm leaning towards that. I'll check back here at the end of the day and check http://combomtb.com/ tomorrow for trail conditions.
  2. SHOGUN or you're just a fucking pussy.
  3. >200hp on a tune and some mods? That bike is just retarded.
  4. LOfuckingL at 1:21-1:29. The car around 2:20 got fucking rocked.

  6. So I've always had a soft spot for the 92-95 civic hatches. I would love to find a VX for a beater. It's the hatch, vtec tuned for fuel economy rated at 39 city & 49 highway. I just did a search on auto trader for shits and giggles, they are always too rare and too expensive for a 15+ year old car anyways. NOT A SINGLE FUCKING STOCK CAR. Seriously what in the bloody fuck. Ever one in the entire country has a swapped engine and body work.
  7. This wouldn't rust! http://jalopnik.com/5524154/fords-super+rare-taurus-sho+powered-aluminum-super+sable Pik-tars in the link.
  8. This. I was listening to an interview of some woman who is one of the best in this field, I believe on NPR once. She said exactly this as to the reason why she has someone else do her investments.
  9. Clay, sounds good. If my parents like what you do, and I'm sure they will, I'll have some things to talk to you about in the future too.
  10. Sick car. I really like the idea of that tank setup. You don't have to worry about the fuel cell being in the car, and having to make a firewall for it. PITA in a hatch. Keeps the CG lower too.
  11. I actually thought of him right after I made this post. I'm not 100% sure what he does. While I'm 99% sure it's in banking/the financial sector, not sure on the details. I'm sure he will chime in if this is what he does. 2highpsi, I know Clay so if he does this I will direct my parents his way. If not, I will get a hold of you.
  12. Can anyone suggest a good financial advisor? If it matters, my parents have some liquid cash sitting in places that aren't making any money right now. They want to do something with it better than it sitting in a savings account/mma/'retirement'. Before anyone says anything about leaving retirement alone, I don't know all of the details but it's a relatively small portion from a company my Dad used to work for a long time ago that he can already get. I think it was stock options for the company or pension something. They will retire in 5-10 years, but don't need the money for now and I'm guessing they won't 'need' it when the retire either. I had the general suggestion of the stock market, but I'm no guru in this area and neither are they. Just my general impression is there can be some really good 'short' term (5-10 year) gains to be made there because of the depressed markets. Any suggestions on what to do or can anyone point them towards a good financial advisor?

So they are driven when the are 'off' e.g. it's naturally open and they get driven to 'close'?
  15. I'd assume you have propane at your house? I keep telling my dad to run a line out to his back deck so he doesn't have to fill up tanks.
  16. Talked to a friend and we are running it. See some of you there... maybe, there's a ton of people.

And it's funny they call this the 'green' Google because it might save a few mWhr per search. From what I understand Google is a leader in server farm efficiency and they are the most efficient out there. They are also pouring money into R&D for technologies that will have real effects on our power use, like smart grids.

This. But the pixels aren't 'on' right? Are the pixels driven when the are 'on' or 'off'? i.e. are the naturally closed (black) or open (white)?
  19. I've had those symptoms with bad tie rod ends. I'd imagine any bad ball joint in a suspension could cause that symptom, especially if it were the component connected to the knuckle. I've also had that failure mode (i.e. 'shaking'/knocking sometimes but sometimes not) with a bad drive shaft (donut that holds the u-joint on a 2 piece drive shaft was bad). But to a much different effect than the bad suspension components. I'd imagine any worn component like that could cause an issue like this. If it get's into a 'mode' it can shake, but if it doesn't, it won't. With the drive shaft it depended on load. With the suspension components I'm imagining it depends on where the part is sitting e.g. if it's all the way one way it it's play it won't have issues, but if it's the other way it will cause the suspension to go into a resonant mode. If that makes sense. Whole car shaking or coming from one wheel?
  20. Anyone running or walking in the Race For The Cure? Trying to figure out if I'm going to go cheer or run. Just wondering if anyone else will be down there.
  21. If a4s are for assholes does that mean s4s are for a subset of the asshole, like maybe the schpinter? ...Wait, I used to own an s4
  22. Chastity belt. She will be a teenager very soon! Easier than shooting her first boyfriend in a few years.
  23. It makes me really mad when scientist try to explain how they work to me. The thing they don't understand is that I don't even want to talk to them.
  24. Are FRC's hard to find/expensive relative to no FRC's? Does it make as much sense to buy a Z06 for the price you'd pay for an FRC?
