Hey moron, NWS means NOT WORK SAFE. Some people work at places that a picture of a chick in a bikini on their computer would be highly unacceptable. I know, hard to grasp, but it's what happens when you work in a 'professional' environment. So here's what you do, you put a link and say NWS. That way, people can go look at the picture if they so please, but they don't have to accidentally pull it up when the local cunt happens to walk by and they get fired for sexual harassment. I think linking even remotely questionable pictures and saying NWS has always been the rule and is the safe way to play it.

I really liked the idea of a netbook for browsing the web, etc. until I went to MircoCenter and played with one. They keyboard was way to small for my semi-manly hands. No way I could have taken notes on that thing. But that's for him to decide, just saying the OP really needs to go play with one before he even bothers researching models. Also, what about sketches/drawings, equations, etc. while taking notes on a computer? I'm really thinking about getting a smart pen for work.

Bye Bye red light cameras...thank god!!
Trouble Maker replied to DaddyBuiltRacing's topic in Dumpster
Red light cameras are a bad idea from a big brother stand point, but running red lights is also about as dumb as you can get. They should install paint ball guns loaded with neon green paint balls mounted to a targeting system. If you run a red light you get light up with paint balls. Maybe even a Gatling style gun. http://www.alternativepaintball.com/images/hellhound.jpg -
You fucking selfish piece of shit Evan and every person in here who voted against the school levys.
-
Why anyone every votes against a school levy absolutely floors me. I don't think money will solve our educational 'problems', but lack of money will definitely create problems. I also have no problems spending as much money on education as possible.

Not a lifter, but do spinning classes on some of your cardio days and have fun getting your ass kicked.

Did you read the article? :gtfo:

I went to the Kenny & Henderson location also last night and it was one of the, if not the absolute worst service experience I've ever had. Food was good (for a chain restaurant).

Ford posted $1B profits for Q3 http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20091102/ap_on_bi_ge/us_earns_ford It's all about market share right now.

It doesn't surprise me, but that looked so uneventful. Granted it is a video from outside of the car. Pretty amazing that there are 100% stock cars out there running 10's very easily. Take most of our cars that run, at best 12's, and usually 13's or 14's stock and make them run 10's and it's usually all kinds of drama.

There are two other very good restaurants in that strip mall. Can't remember their names but the Vietnamese/Thai place and the Korean place are both very good. One of the best deserts I've ever had was at the Vietnamese/Thai place. It was a bed of sticky rice with coconut milk on top with some really good cantaloupe (from Vietnam iirc). It was a special for that day so don't expect it to be there. Their main courses were kind of small, but still really good, with the caveat that I eat a lot so they are probably enough for a 'regular' person. The Korean place had a lot of crazy seafood in a lot of their platters, which I don't mind but it was kind of hard for the g/f to find something she could stomach, but she really liked what she had. They serve you 9 or 12 little platters of random stuff before your meal, which was really fun. Lots of really good places to eat around here. I've been hesitant to try Banana Leaf for fear of the vegetarian aspect, but I might have to try it now.

We should try to get into another wrestling match in the middle of the bar Howard. Hmmm, if I don't go to Ray's I'll be there, and even if I do go if I get back into town at a reasonable time and am not dead tired I'll be there.

Ex-fucking-xactly. Go talk to Mark, Jack or Fasil (over on track addicts if you don't know them or haven't meet them). They have ~90s civics (Fasil) and early 90's Neon's that probably have about as much in them as you are talking about building a 2000's vette for. So I think you are drastically underestimating the initial cost estimate to just build a car. Aforementioned cars on slicks are probably faster than your current car around mid ohio on street tires (iirc mid-low 1:40's). I know you love vettes, but you don't need that much power to go fast and compete at some level. And lastly, hate to use a cliche, the cost of the car is just part of the entry fee. It's also just about disposable. You wreck the car (or even get wrecked into) and the car is usually done. Hit the reset button and dump another 20-30k into it (probably what I guess you will have into the vette) to go out and 'compete' again. When one of those guys got bumped off of the track last season (2008) they pulled ~10k out of the air and built a car in a month... that was using parts from the old car and building the car themselves. All because someone else bumped them off of the track, not by their own doing. That's the reality of racing. I'd suggest to start doing HPDE's, then TT & getting your competition license first. That'll probably take up next year for you and I think you can do most if not all of that in your current car. Just assuming you haven't been through all of this yet. Go talk to the guys on track addicts that have been down this path, they can offer much better advice than me. Here's a good article to read. http://www.speedsportlife.com/2009/03/27/avoidable-contact-25-exploring-the-pyramid-of-speed-the-real-costs-and-stories-behind-entry-level-sedan-racing/

Uh-oh, watch out Tom Tom! (Android, iPhone peeps)
Trouble Maker replied to JaSSon's topic in Dumpster
I think that's a bit of a miss-statement. But I do think a ~3.5" screen is plenty, especially when it's a much more convenient piece of electronics to use and it's free to add onto your phone. Joe just needs to have the 'best' of everything (especially if it's more expensive or bigger) and tell it to everyone on here about how he has it and it's better than what they are talking about or have. Looks like BB doesn't carry a single GPS with less than a 4" screen. If someone feels they need to spend money to have a separate device which does the same thing their phone could do for free, good for them for supporting the economy.... :gtfo: My big thing is I would use a turn by turn GPS device once a month, maybe less. I can't justify spending money on a second device. I've almost justified the less expensive apps ($30-$50), but still couldn't' pull the trigger. If it's free, why not? -
You're an asshole. No one needs to see that.

Understand it or know what it is? I understand the general concept, but should have payed more attention in class. Maybe I'll go dig up my notes if I get a wild hair up my ass in the next few days. If... when I get rich one of these days I'll go back and finish my physics degree. Ah, I remember Einsteins example with the train now, but I've not go the time to explain it. Really easy to do with diagrams. I'm sure you know it if you are asking, I was saying for everyone else.
