Very cool, I did not know that. graemlins/thumb.gif It seems like a lot of people I meet over here that are from Britian were in the army over there, weird.
-
Were you in the British Royal Army?
-
Yeah, we don't have any iodine or bedidine (sp?), or I would use those. I need to get some. For right now the peroxide will do to keep it clean.
-
I hate using gloves while I'm working on a car. Calm down son.

Originally posted by Lustalbert: Very pretty. graemlins/thumb.gif Is that black stuff brake dust that is embeded in your skin, or have you just not washed it? Yes and no. It is brake dust and I'm slowly washing it out from around that area. Other than when it happened the only time this hurts is when I use hydeogen perxoide and when I try to wash it out. I've washed it out when I took a shower yesterday (right befor I took those pics), and when I took a shower today. There is much less brake dust on there now than there was in those pics. A guy I used to work with was in the British Royal Army. They employed a sepcial force of people called the Gurkhas. IIRC they tried to fight the Gurkhas at some point and they were so ferosics that they decided to employe them. That knife is what the Gurkhas use, I guess mostly to cut peoples throats. He was saying that their equivilant of our Rangers were a bunch of badasses that you didn't mess with. Well he also said the rangers knew better than to even touch a Gurkha because they would end up in a Hosptial. He said they always smiled and almost never talked, but were crazy and efficient as a fighter could be. They were deployed on one of the Falken Islands and given X amount of hours (48 iirc) to clear everything out. They were done in about half of that time. I'm sure all you wanted to know was that they were Gurkhas, but that's what little I know about them. I'm sure you can search on google and find some stuff about them.

Fixed. Quickest and fastest stock S4 right now is 13.7@99 I sure hope I can click of a lowish 14 if I ever go to the track stock without uber launching it. With a chip it better be in the 13's without a retard driving. Depending on the chip most will net 40-60crank HP and 50-70 crank ft-lbs. The GIAC-X gets you 120ft-lbs! Most chips just bump the bost to 1Bar, the X goes to 1.2 down low and tapers to 1 up high. We have all of our torque down low so the 1.2 bar down low gives you all of that torque. Chips are going to start around $600 for the car. They only usually go up from there when you add features, like more programs. I'd type more but I tend to get wordy, people have pretty much covered the basics, and I only have 8 fingers to type with right now. Tell him to go to Audi World and just start reading in the B5 S4 section! HOLLY SHIT! I haven't been to this site in a while; there is a new best time. Guess what the fastest S4 is and then go to this link. Prepare to be surprised. graemlins/thumb.gif

'Good' Pictures. Don't do this at home kids. The part of my fingers that hit the caliper. I looked at that part of the caliper when I went back out and it's shaped like a guillotine. In other words the caliper is not solid right there, it's 'hollow' with cross members. http://img320.imageshack.us/img320/3552/frontsmall1sl.jpg You can see where my fingers hit the rim too. http://img317.imageshack.us/img317/2792/backsmall5dm.jpg Thanks everyone for the wishes of getting well soon. I didn't really post this for that, I actually think it's pretty funny, after the initial pain that is. And I hurt myself pretty often so this is normal to some extent. I actually started to go into shock. I was pouring in sweat. Weird question, I got sick later last night, diarrhea and vomiting. I can't think of anything I ate to do this. Can your body going into shock cause this? Things like this is why I’m going to take them EMT-Basic. I’m going to try to take it in the fall. Plus I need it to get onto ski patrol. graemlins/thumb.gif

Ba-dum-chiiii! Ohhhhhh! He'll be here at the airport comedy club all weekend folks. I have the pics, just haven't had time to upload them yet. Time to sleep. I'll get them up before I go out of town, I promise. I usually do. I'll take pics in a week and post them for a comparsion.

I was working on my car and, completely unrelated to what I was doing, decided to spin the wheel around to see if I could hear any bearing noise. I had been hearing a slight humming noise from one of them. I didn't get my fingers out of the 'hole' in the rim by the time it came around to the caliper. I heard my fingers crunch, pulled them out and there are spots on my pads/first portion of my finger that doesn't have any skin left. The spots are about as big as the ends of two of ones fingers. You can't tell from the picture but my fingers were starting to swell in it.
-
...and anything else that requires typing in any way, shape, or form. I just destroyed two of my fingers. It's such a PITA to type, my ADD is kicking in every time I attempt to make a post. http://img282.imageshack.us/img282/5167/dscf1222small8ae.jpg 'Good' pictures will come later this evening when I change the bandages. Oh yeah, that's my left hand. I'm going to have to 'switch' to my right hand. This sucks.

I think that car will be enough V8 RX7 for a lot of the world.
-
Second picture, first thumb. See the gray car in the back in the garage? What, no good pictuers of down in the engine bay?
-
I don't think a fart would have an inherent amount of torque associated with it. It would probably have an inherent amount of power associated with it from the potential energy stored in the combustible gasses. If said combustible gasses were put into some sort of engine then the mechanical translation of energy would produce torque which would be dependent on the engine parameters. But I get you're point. tongue.gif

441WHP my ass. Literally, I bet my farts from the White Castle I had last night make more power than that car.
-
Thats one ugly muthafuggin bike, homeslice.

I know what I'm bringing!!! Don't make it either of the two weekends after this one (15-17 and 22-24), I'm going to be out of town. graemlins/thumb.gif
-
How many times are people going to post shit about these stupid ass turbo systems. I can't believe people actually pay good money for those kits.
-
NO WE WON'T YOU FUCKING IDIOT!
-
That's the dumbest thing I've ever heard of. Seriously, that is surprising even coming from this turd.
-
Eric, you should have quit posting in this thread when you decided not to show up the weekend before last and wern't going to even call and tell us.

My bet is Ben's parents can more than afford to pay for all of his school. They just chose not to and make their son go through some hard times. I'm sure you will force your son to endure the same thing because it will make him a 'better' person. School's are becoming more and more expensive and it's becoming harder and harder for someone to work their way through school. School's and the government assume your parents will help you and use that to decide how much money they will give you, and how many loans you can get. When a persons parents have as much in assets and make as much as Ben's does, you don't get anything in the way of grants or loans. Then he has to go get high(er) interest loans that aren't deferred. I would not have been able to go to the school I went to without help from my parents, grants, scholarships and loans. When you get awarded with a financial package, it says how much each one of those is to add up to what tuition, room and board cost. If one of those falls short, you’re in a pretty bad place. I would have been able to go to OSU without very much of any of those if I worked 40hours/week at a decent paying job (for a college student) while going to school full time (if I could afford it). But like Kyle said, it's one of the cheapest (non community college) schools in the state. Anywhere else and you’re hosed. Are you even sure how all of this works? I've known numerous people who have went through the same thing and it's a major pain in the ass to try to get enough loans just to pay for your school. If the school/FASA doesn't feel like you need it (even just a loan), neither will most lending institutions (because the school and sallie mae are just mediators/dispersal agents for the loans). I'm not really sure you know the kind of position Ben is in right now. From what you’re saying your parents didn’t have enough to send you to school. Well probably back then, just like now you would have gotten a lot of help in the way of grants and loans. I also knew people going to my school (~30k/yr now) who’s parents were dirt poor and they easily got enough loans, grants, and scholarships to pay for their school, books, and sometimes even some spending money. That’s because when they look at the little EFC box when their FAFSA comes back it says something near $0. You just chose to take a different route with your education. This is what Ben wants to do and his parents just chose to make it very hard on him. Once again I'll say, as you being a parent how could you make the decision to make something harder on you're child? I'm still waiting to hear that you aren't going to help Spencer (or Abbie) in any way you can go to school if that's what they want.

That's because soccer mom's can't drive that fast.
