Where's your cute sister at then? Not paid very well usually. I don't know. I was fortunate enough to not have to take any of those god forsaken classes. The only history teacher I had any interaction with was our fraternity 'advisor'. This guy had a purported innumerable amount of degrees in different crap, but he couldn't seem to get full sentences out. He's a MAJOR burnout who probably did a shit ton of LSD back in the 60's. He once stopped in the middle of a sentence for a full minute right in the middle of a seemingly rehearsed speech to us. He mostly came into our weekly meetings every once in a while and chastised us for being the idiots we were, while saying uhhhhh in between every other word. It was actually pretty funny. Funnier yet, people said he was the exact same way teaching his classes. I'm REALLY glad I didn't have him for any classes. Obviously, history professors have yet to impress me.

+1... And WTF is wrong with your family? They all like studying history and dead languages? tongue.gif

Glad to hear you got some, get rid of that pain. Good luck with the surgery tomorrow. Hope the general anesthesia doesn't mess you up too much. graemlins/thumb.gif

Cody, you want some of those Vicodin I was speaking of? I have no use for them. No, I'm not going to give it to any of you just to take or sell it to anyone, I'm just offering some of them to Cody because he sounds like he's in pain. I'm surprised they didn't give you your prescription already? I had to go get mine a few days before hand because they give you some antibiotics to fight any infection and the ones I took, I had to start the day before hand. Oh yeah, have fun with the general anesthetic and the NASS before hand, it's fun stuff. graemlins/thumb.gif I almost wish I could find a source for the medical grade stuff.

Were yours impacted or not? Mine were and the surgery was bad but not as bad as one I had back in High School. I was eating food later that day this time. All of my teeth were impacted. Granted I was still eating small amounts of soft food for quite a few days. I've talked to people whose wisdom teeth were not impacted and shortly after the surgery it was almost like nothing happened (obviously not in all cases). That's pretty shitty Eli. When I had them done in High School, they didn't give me anything. I really could have used something early on. I was absolutely miserable for a few days. This time around they gave me 400mg Ibuprofens (same thing as Motrin) and Vicodin ES’s (7.5-750's). I only used the Ibuprofen's, but it was nice to have the Vicodin in case I needed it.

The turbojet was still in its infancy and had many technological hurdles to overcome. A lengthy period of development led to a continued delay in the producation of the Me262. A lack of the materials necessary for proper heat proofing posed a major problem in war-torn Germany. Alternate materials were forced to be used, which resulted in engines that were less than reliable. In some cases, new engines would suffer catastrophic failures during the initial run-up. Even engines that worked correctly had a very short operation span. Most would only last for 12 hours. On many occasions, pilots were forced to land with one or both engines out." EDIT: This is the second time in a row two people posted at almost the exact same time. What are the chances of that? I literally pressed refresh, then posted what I did, only to see Berto hit post within the few seconds bettwen there. redface.gif

Wonder what it would cost to get one of these imported?`
Trouble Maker replied to Mark1647545493's topic in Pics and Vids
A replica or a real one? If you hit the lottery (or just have some cash down the road) and want to go for a replica, skip the Factory Five and get a Superformance or something else much nicer (and more expensive). The finish of the Superformance up close is 10 times better than the Factory Five. You'll pay for it though. Superformance with single lug conversion=sexy as fuck. A photographer that was spending a lot of time up at the keyhole at Mid Ohio for the ALMS race had a hard top one. graemlins/leghump.gif Real one= graemlins/eek2.gif Better hit a big lottery if you want one of those! I really want an M Coupe as a track car one of these days. I might just skip that and save up the money for one the Atom 2’s. -
So how does what Ford or Chevy does have anything to do with your religion? I'm sure if you were a die hard ford guy, this wouldn't affect your viewpoint of them at all. So it is in fact your argument that is flawed. Ford donating money to a group when a member of that group buys a car has NOTHING to do with you or your religion. People need to mind their own business sometimes. You really think that it's a productive thing for this group to boycott Ford for what they are doing when they could be feeding homeless people or building churches or houses for people who can't afford them? Do you even realize what kind of positive acts for humanity a group like this could accomplish with the manpower, effort, tenacity, and the financial backing they have?

That's a much a honda as a factory five replica cobra is a real cobra. -
If you really want to go to OSU, go to Columbus State and get a transfer degree to OSU. I'm not trying to steer you towards or away from any school though. Just another route you can take. I'm just saying go to wherever you want because you want to go there, nothing more, nothing less.

Any of you wear glasses while you ride?

Any of you wear glasses while you ride?

I'm not actually in any snowfall that often because I usually ski in Ohio. graemlins/thumbsdown.gif I've only ever been in a 'blinding' snow fall once. That would have sucked on a big hill, but we were just at Snow Trails so it wasn't a big deal. If I were in that much snow, I’d definitely be using my goggles anyways. Or if it's very cold, I'll probably wear my goggles too, as any wind hitting my eyes has a tendency to make them water, the colder it is, the worse it gets. But like I said, since we are in Ohio, a majority of the time I won't have to worry about that. I have a cheap pair of dark tinted glass that I ride with sometimes (when it's warmer and sunny out) and it just feels much less 'restrictive' than wearing goggles. I’d wear them a lot more often if they were yellow. I've always worn yellow goggles since I started skiing. The yellow is mostly for the fact that I ski at night a lot, that's what I'm used to, and it enhances the contours on white surfaces (ie. anything that's covered with snow). Anything that's amber or 'black' is way too dark for most conditions I ski in, especially since I'm so used to the yellow. Them being designed for cold so they won't fog as easily is a good thing though. I really don't think that will be as big of a problem as it is with ski goggles though, as the back of the lenses is completely open, unlike goggles. Those are a good suggestion though and I am looking for something similar to the first style. If thoes fit me well, they would be perfect for what I'm looking for. Do you know of anywhere locally that carries these? I'd love to go try on a pair before I buy next season. They would need to fit TIGHT up against my face. Yeah, John. Just looking at the prices and pictures of what Iron Pony carries, they do look cheap. [ 06. June 2005, 04:33 PM: Message edited by: Trouble Maker ] -
Just wondering. I had been looking for a pair of yellow glasses to ski with forever, but my eyes are pretty sensitive to wind, so they need to block the wind very well. I got an Iron Pony magazine the other day and saw that they carried quite a few glasses that you could get in yellow, designed for riding (I bought a helmet there a while ago for road courses). Wondering if any of you in here use glasses, which ones, and how well they do at speeds? Note: I'm definitely not condoning wearing glasses, refer to Chris's post. If you have maybe worn them in the past, just wanting some opinions.

Is there anything you can do to strengthen your subframe, or a stronger one you can buy or have made? I know it's just a function of how hard you come down and how, and obviously if your wreck right it's going to bend. It just seems like it's becoming too often of an occurrence/possibility when you wreck.

This proves that you shouldn't be offering him advice. Cody, DO NOT go to UT because she is there. Go there if you want to go there, that's it. If you feel it is a good school for you, worth your time, money, and effort. Because you are going to be spending a lot of those three there. Sorry, I've just seen too many friends or people I know go to schools together to break up a month after they start at the school. Then one or both of them decide that going to that school was not the right choice for them. Just a little piece of advice I like to give out to anyone who is considering this.
