  1. I've been so damn busy. Marc, PM me your number or call me sometime. My phone died so I don't have your # anymore. I don't know how fast on skis but pretty fast. Obviously nothing like out West but Ben saw me bomb some hills at Holiday Valley and I've gone that fast at other places too... maybe 40. That will change this winter though. I'm pretty sure the fastest I've ever gone at MRM was ~25. Just by the seat of the panths feel. That hill is really small.

  3. I've said every since I saw the specs on the engine and how much it was putting out that they were choking it off/it was highly detuned. I guess that helps prove it. That's way bad ass.
  4. Damn, I'm glad I don't hang out with you or your friends.
  5. I'm buying a viper just for the saftey of the car.
  6. There is a for sale forum. Maybe interested in some of the vinyl depending on what it is. Not interested in any dance/sample stuff, just normal music. Go over to the for sale section and post and I'll check it out. Do you DJ?
  7. Wish I was in town this weekend. Ben, I can't believe you aren't picking these up??
  8. Moving into a place on the 1st that this would be perfect for... hmmmmm.
  9. He lives in KY, look at his 'location' thingey. Are you leak down testing it with the rockers off or are you just watching the valve when you take the rockers off to see if the move at all (after doing the leak down test with them on)? I know on DSM's that it may look like it's down but it may not be all of the way. We have to do a leak down test with all the rockers off or it will more than likely come up with a false negative. I'm sure this will be different dependent on the engine/cam/lifters but just an idea. Was this just something you were checking while your car is down for sake of mind or was the car acting up in such a way that is indicative of valve issues? I don't know much about engine/head building or valve lapping so I can't help you there, sorry.
  10. Get some metal 'cylinders/disk' from McMaster Carr and have a (any) machine shop do their thing. As long as you don't feel like you need hub centric this should be very easy for them to do and will be much cheaper than $200+some machine work. If you need hub centric that's a different story. Any decent machine shop can still do them but they might want a drawing and/or more money to sketch something up for you. I can almost assume you know how to use some sort of CAD program though so just draw some up if that's the case. Even if you do this your still looking at <$200 for everything.

I never said any of those things so don't assume anything or put words into my mouth. I'm only saying they are as nice as the cars they compete with, just different. i.e. Audi s4, BMW M3 or whatever MB makes in that class. Mike made them out to be POS and you agreed saying that people spend too much on them. They make competitive cars in their price ranges and you can get great values in the slightly used market as compared to the competitors. I will agree that they don't make high end luxury or sports cars (excluding a few cars like the A8L or the LeMans Quatro). They do make luxury cars and sporty cars. I'm agreeing with this despite the fact that a newer s4 is both much faster and much nicer than any car 95% of this board will ever own. But then again the only car that we've talked about in this thread that can be categorized as both high end luxury and a sports car is the sl55 amg and the ride it gives is probably too 'refined' for most of us (including me, I want to feel what a car is doing). Not that I wouldn't drive it, that's just not what I prefer. I also can't think of one person on this board who drives a car that can be categorized as both high end luxury and a sports car. In fact not very many people drive a car that can be categorized as either in their purest meanings (yours truly included). So to try to say that Audi's are lesser cars than the cars they compete with because they aren't high end luxury or sports cars is just asinine. The C6 Z06 is a race car, no ifs ands or buts about it. It's going to a much different use than any high end luxury sports car generally speaking. I bet a guy (or girl) who would own both a C6 Z06 and an SL55AMG would put a lot more miles on the SL55AMG but the miles they put on the C6 Z06 would put a much bigger smile on their face.

Yeha, my car is slow, not nice inside and can't handle well. I'm going to go cry now because I spent way too much money on it. Which btw is less than your truck mike, if you bought it new (iirc you did?). I forgot to mention my car doesn't look nice either and is falling apart (at 94kmi). Back on topic now that I’ve shut the peanut gallery up. I agree with what other people are saying though. They spent a lot more on a car that's slower so they are trying to justify that extra expense. They are right in their own respect but you have to understand that we are a group that's biased towards utterly utilitarian power and suspension (whether it be geared towards handling or drag racing) for the most part. They are right, you won't get the fit and finish or smooth ride out of a C6 Z06 that you will out of a MB SL55 AMG. Any one who tries to argue that point is a moron. Not to say that the Vette is a POS, but it's no high end MB. Read this next part carefully everyone. But not everyone wants the same thing out of a car.
  14. At least I have people who are friends on this board. [/desperado crying]
  15. Hurnhhhh, whut dud u just say? Some long ass rant that no one will read and has almost nothing to do with the situation at hand. [/desperado]
  16. His name is Mike, he's on here somewhere. He's actually posted pictuers of it before. His car is VERY NICE, but the sickest car there was the 65 Impala. It has all kinds of original shit (like the bottle of concentrated washer fluid and the holder, manuals, warnings, sticker) and is a 4 speed manual.... just ridiculous. Nice video and pics Hoblick, thanks!
  17. Congrats on finally getting a bike, I know you've wanted one forever! Call me and I can come take some pics. I still haven't been able to get over and check out your place. I'll be out of town for the next three weeks, but I will be home on the weekends.
  18. +1 Will miss ya until then bro. We need to drink one more time before you leave. Planing on making it down to OU before you take off? I need to get down there to visit Jon. Good luck there!
  19. Since sites like those suck balls, direct link. http://movies.collegehumor.com/items/2005/08/collegehumor.1603542.wmv That was fucking hallarious. "When we grow up we want to be ninjas too!"
  20. Hmm, not sure I agree on that one, but the seats are definitely different than normal. I am a little biased towards my lower body (I'm 5'9" 165lbs and have a 34" waist, so I have a fairly small frame in the upper part of my body). So seats with a decent amount of side bolstering usually fit me well in the lower area but usually seem to be to wide in the top area. I though, like most seats, the lower portion fit me well enough but the top portion fit me VERY well which I've never had happen in a (stock) seat like that before. I know you are much bigger than me so I find it odd that you fit well in the upper part too. I guess they just got something right in the top part of the seat that it fits most people well and did something wrong in the lower part. I've heard people (that own the car) say the SRT-4 has more of a feeling of un-steering the car when you get into boost than anything else.
  21. No it's not. That picture, amazingly enough, was actually made before an internet forum was ever used. This would explain why we’ve seen it overused about 1,000 times since the inception of this board. It was funny about the first 7 times I saw it, but after that, not so much.
