Do you mean the rear 3si brakes? The front 91+ non-turbo 3si are the 2 piston 'big brakes' according to that page.

Completely Agree! graemlins/thumb.gif

Damn, Eric beat me to it. Count me in for at least meeting up there. I will probably stay there to check out the ALMS stuff.

idiot + speakers = Hacked up ranger

"I hit 148dB" Everyone else on there is an idiot too or they would have just said "No you didn't." But then again, someone would have to be an idiot to own a ranger and think it was cool. -

I'd appericate it if you didn't speak (write) about me like that, you know I don't like men. Your advances will get you no where. Oh shit, you were talking about my car. Thanks man. They have the internet in Athens? Shit, what am I talking about, I went to school in Ada. -

Yeah, that's just it. I know a little about the X and how fast it's supposed to be. I've debated off and on about even chipping the thing due to the reliability of the K03's. It's just so tempting due to how easy, and relatively inexpensive it is, for how much power can be gained. If I did chip it, it would probably be something a little milder than the GIAC-X. The GIAC chip (I think it's an actually chip for my car) is double what you paid for yours, but then again most are. Definitely still worth it though. -

Thanks! Bone stock. The Passat thing is an old joke. I mention the fact that's actually what I own from time to time on here, but it would probably be easy to miss. I knew that Auto Assets started dealing in some big name chip maker a while ago (a year maybe), but wasn't sure who it was. Thanks for the info. It might stay totally stock, as it is 'just' my daily, but it is very tempting. I have my talon to play with. I figured get a cheap toy that’s cheap to mod and get something that's a nice sporty daily. I'd really like to put a chip, exhaust (down pipe back), nock out the cats in the down pipes, upgraded IC's, and K04's and have a 12 second daily. But that's ~$4k and alot of time somewhere down the road. -
Then you obviously didn't read the title of this thread. Oh god, thank you for saving me from becoming a pothead. graemlins/nonono.gif

I actually almost said something about how when I look at the pictures it just reminds me that I really need rims and some springs. I think I'm just going to get the H&R Sportline springs, they should work with my stock shocks. They are just a little stiffer than stock and a little over one inch of drop. Supposed to help with the body roll quite a bit and will help reduce the gap, but should still be good on the street. I've already had the rims picked out for a while. What do you think? http://www.tirerack.com/images/wheels/kosei/swap/kosei_k1_ts_grey_ci3_l.jpg 17*8 weighing in at a whopping 15lbs, for $240 each. graemlins/grin2.gif Just gota get a job first. redface.gif To everyone else, thanks! graemlins/thumb.gif -
Haha, I obviously didn't read it either or I wouldn't have basically reposted it.

The car hadn't seen any wax since the winter started and had seen quite a few brushless automatic car washes so I decide to pamper it. Washed the car last week then waxed it with Maguiars Gold class. I ran out of the Gold Class so I decided to try NXT this week. I wanted to get downtown last night but after I took these it started raining. Maybe I’ll wash and wax it again next week and get downtown for some pictures. graemlins/lol.gif Here are some pictures, a little less industrial than usual. http://img12.echo.cx/img12/2489/audi18kh.jpg http://img197.echo.cx/img197/2574/audi28zw.jpg http://img213.echo.cx/img213/3351/audi30xa.jpg http://img239.echo.cx/img239/9450/audi44pe.jpg http://img239.echo.cx/img239/4193/audi53vu.jpg http://img239.echo.cx/img239/8540/audi69uk.jpg http://img135.echo.cx/img135/368/audi77ch.jpg

Like you rationalizing why one addictive thing can be legal and another addictive thing not. Laws should be put in place to protect people from other people, not from themselves. If someone wants to become a pothead and waste their lives away, so be it. It should not be illegal. If someone wants get high and go drive a car, operate heavy machinery at work, design a bridge, those all put other innocent people at risk. It should be illegal. There are some drugs that I think everyone can agree are just all around bad for society. Pot is not one of them. Should we outlaw everything that could be addictive? Caffeine, cigarettes, and alcohol all have obviously addictive characteristics and have no positive side effects. Some people simply like indulging in these things from time to time. Some people do abuse these things. They are all gone. I'm taking all of your cars away too since some people can be, and lots of people on here probably are, addicted to their cars/working on them. How about we just kill off everyone that has and addictive personality so that we as a society don't have to deal with people like that. That's what's 'wrong' with society and the 'representative' way our government is ran. Everyone wants to put laws in place governing morals when everyone’s set of morals is different. It just happens to be which ever side is in the majority (or has the bigger voice) gets their way and now their morals are enforced by the law. Sure sounds like a great way to mix 'church and state'. Different sets of morals are what this country was founded on.

Not sure, I've never looked at it before. Just going by what that page said. I'll have to find my DSM Manula CD later and look at all of the different setups (FWD DSM vs AWD DSM vs Non-Turbo 3si) and I will post pictures if I can figure it out.

It's because Oscars are very dirty, ugly fish. tongue.gif J/k, they are notoriously dirty fish though. I'm not sure what you can do once you get a bad case of algae in the tank except for try to keep it clean. Get it out of the sun if it is in the sun. Algae are plants and you will also have more 'problems' with algae if your tank is in direct sun light. You should NEVER clean out a tank completely, not even just all of the water at once. It will throw off the chemistry in the tank and bother the fish. One good thing about fish that are dirty is that generally speaking they are very hearty too, such as Oscars. Get a few new filters too, I bet your filters right now are algae infested. Just keep getting the algae off of the side of the tank, and try to get the algae out (scoop it out), and change part of the water when you do. I used the water conditioner before and I'm not really sure how much it does other than neutralize the chemicals that are bad. If it were me, I'd just get a few five gallon buckets (or however much water you want to change). Fill them up and let them sit out for a day or two, this should let all of the chemicals that you don't want in there to evaporate away. This will give you basically good water and only changing part of the water will give make this new water mix in and get the chemistry of the tank fairly quickly. With fish that are as dirty as Oscars, your going to need to clean it fairly often or you will run into extreme problems like you have right now. I was at my sister’s place in the Grandview near Byerely’s and I thought about this thread and stopped there to check stuff out. They sell 99% pure reverse osmosis water for $.59/gallon too. I've never used anything like this so I don't know if it's worth it or not, but you will definitely get clean water.

Edwin, go read that page. It says you supposedly don’t get much of an increased effect from the non-turbo 3si rear brakes. The disc are bigger, but the sweep area is less, effectively negating each other. If that is true the only effect you get is more rotational mass in the rare. This should give you more cooling though. To top that off, the ebrake on 3si's aren't integral to the caliper, they are a drum brake that is integral to the hub (I think), so you lose the ebrake. Also, if you stick with stock rear brakes and get the 2-piston big brakes, you can get a proportioning valve that is correct for your car. I bet that car you worked on was FWD pat. Edwin, go read that page!!! It's 93+ up AWD DSM's, or 91+ non-trubo 3si's, or 92-96 Diamantes (according to that page), they are just talking about the front too.

Wow is right. Does that mean we are going to see Linux coming on Dell's soon, or maybe even other big company PC's?

Why? It's probably one of the few cars you could get into a wreck with on the road and come out the winner.
