They really are decent inside, one of the best cars ~$20k out there right now. What dodge is doing with the SRT cars is really cool right now too. Anyone who gives a shit probably already knows, but go check out what they did with the 300 SRT-8 at One Lap Of America this year.

According to 'retail' on most sites, I'm about $1-2k up right now (I owe that much less than the car is worth). My car seems to be holding value right now too, over about the last six months. Where do I find said red book? I searched online and the only thing I could find was some Austrian website. I should just call my insurance guy. I figured someone on here would have a straight answer.

The ACV thing makes perfect sense. Which NADA value do you use? I'm assuming retail, but would like to know for sure just for future reference. Weird, Edmunds is really good about having every option that was actually available for my car, no more, no less, called by what it was actually called when it was sold. But NADA is horrible from that aspect. Oh well, NADA is a little higher anyways.

I check every once in a while to see what the pay off amount is for the loan on my car. Just to see if I'm flipped over or not. Well I just kind of compared it to both the dealer (retail) amount for my car and the private party (usually check on Edmunds and KBB, sometimes NADA). If your car is totaled, which one do they usually use? I can assume the dealer/retail cost, and I've also heard they usually use KBB. But I just wanted to know for sure.

Grandpa bought this new in 91, driven down to Florida and back a few times. He passed away about 10 years ago and my Grandma has driven it since then, she only drives on the side streets around the west side. ODO shows 35k, died a while ago. But we estimate it has around 50k, max. She got into a pretty minor wreck two days ago, she didn't have full coverage and has the money to buy a new car so she is just trying to get rid of this. The motor and trans run perfect. Car is perfect inside, never smoked in. Always garaged. It's the base model AFAIK. But they got the option of the 3.1L V6 and auto trans. White on the outside and maroon cloth on the inside. The rear passenger side door, part of the body on that side, and the back wheel got hit. Appears to be no structural damage beneath of the car. The rear passengers side wheel would need at least some suspension components (it's bent pretty far in). Don't know if anything on the sub frame in the rear is bent. The rear door on that side is trashed, but that's about it. Neither of the doors on that side open, but the front one did not get hit. The back one is pinching it. Would be great to pick up for a little bit of money and fix to drive or sell if you could do everything yourself. Would be great to just grab the engine and trans out of too if someone needed it. She drove it home, but that was only a few blocks. That wheel is rubbing on the inside wheel well so I wouldn't drive it very far. This is also just what I can tell from a shade tree mechanic's point of view, you'd be buying a wrecked car with basicly unknown problems, just trying to paint a picutre of what I can tell is wrong with it. She wants this car gone so she can park her new car in the garage, which she should be getting within a day or two. If no one bites on this fairly quick, we are just going to take it to the junk yard. Just figured we would offer someone a chance to do something with this before we sent it off to the junkyard. It would just be a shame to see this thing go to the junkyard just because it has a lot of life left in it. I'm going over there tomorrow and will take a few pics. I know when my buddy’s g/f won a 'Saturn L200' she basically got a ~20k voucher for any Saturn at any dealership. She ended up getting a VUE instead. I'm sure it's different for ever company, but I think it would make sense if most of them were like that.

Anthony, I've seen numerous post, including two previous post, now three, in this thread, which instigated/prolonged the situation. Everyone knows that at a few times the situation was close to violence, at least from the way people were acting/what they were saying. By helping to make this situation worse you were definitely indirectly helping to create a possible violent situation. Don't play dumb. Calling someone out on how they were going to 'punch someone in the face', but didn't is definitely directly instigating violence. You just did it again in your last post. Who gives a shit what happened? I sure don't, I'm sure no one but the people involved do right now. So you are saving face to no one but yourself. Nothing is going to be resolved in this situation because everyone involved is too egotistical. It can only get worse, so just drop it.

I was just there yesterday with Ben. I talked to the guy for a little bit. I didn't think they carried anything newer either but they had body panels from what looked to be newer bikes hanging from the ceiling. So I asked him what they carried up to and he said anything up to now. They just don't have as much newer stuff because they used to only do old bikes and have a big inventory of that stuff. So it might be worth a try, all it will take is a phone call. I highly doubt they have your frame, but I don't think the tank is out of the question.

What's up with all of the teenage angst from some of you guys lately? It's pretty stupid, and about some pretty menial shit. Grow up and let shit slide every once in a while. I think I'm the same age, if not younger than most of you that I'm talking to and I can still say that. It's warm out, if you are really that mad at life get out and work some of that negative energy off. I ran two miles yesterday and will be running at least that much sometime tomorrow. Anyone can come if they want. I'll bet you that after you do that you aren't going to be nearly as worried about someone talking shit about you on the internet.
