I just remembered how small Fado's is... could we possible go there for Saving Jane and elsewhere for more festivities? n/m, I talked to Ben last night and he said that it's a different Fado's, not the one at Easton. [ 16. March 2005, 09:56 AM: Message edited by: Neo ]

Shit, I thought you were going to drive me. We should just find some random way up there without any plans to make it back to our houses and see where we end up.

I'm going to drink somewhere. graemlins/thumb.gif That sounds like a good time.

Emerald Nuts? Wait, that's a different acronym.

Reno 911 is the shit.

How's the points system going to work? There are websites out there that you can do everything online for free and setup the points however you want. If you can't find them I can ask my friend who has set them up numerous times which one he uses (I think he's made his own now, but used to use other free ones). I'm not interested in doing this bracket, just throwing some suggestions out there.

I meant to explain approximately how they did this last time it was posted (back in the stone ages), but didn't. I will this time. Any modern codec that I know of uses a few things to reduce the size but approximately keep the 'image' there, the main stay is usually this. They only capture a full 'image' ever once in a while. For mpeg4 (DVD's) that's about twice a second. It will do things like get a brand new image if the scene completely changes, or make more full 'images' a second if alot of things on the screen are changing. It does this because most of the time not very much of the screen changes in half a second (back grounds). The parts of the screen that do change might only 'move'. Think of a woman with a red dress on, that dress only 'moves' a little bit in a half a second. They use vectors to show how portions of the screen move during that half a second. So imagine you have half a second of footage, say Neo shooting at the Agent. It's put through this codec and spit back out and black looks black, red looks red, and blue looks blue. Well instead of putting it back through that codec they put it back through one that makes something white look like spaces, something a little darker look like ... or ,,,,, darker yet is something like ccc or sss and the darkest portions gets an R, T, A or C. So instead of a white back ground it's a back ground of blank spaces. Instead of a black suit moving around (the Agent), it's a suit of R, T, C, and S's. Or they could have done something similar but frame by frame. But this was some sort of 'transfer program'. They made a program to do this. Look at the site address. This was probably a (senior) project for someone in the graphic design (not art, programming) or computer science school. They didn't do it by hand. Edit: Written while Kyle was posting (didn't see his post). smile.gif I didn't know there were programs to convert a still to ascii characters, pretty cool.

Or he needs to quit drinking an average of 12 beers a day (just a wild guess, but I’m probably not too far off).

just when i thought it couldn't get worse/tranny prob in my gt
Trouble Maker replied to gt-titan's topic in Tech and Tips
Weird, when the TCU took a shit on my talon it acted the same way in D (or OD) or the manual gears. I only had third gear in forward. I guess I still technically had A forward and reverse gear, but my 1, and 2 aren't manual, they still go through the TCU. I would have been in better shape had I still been able to shift to 1, and 2 manually. Tranny fluid heats up pretty quick when you have to start from a stop in third gear in an automatic car. -
I laughed out loud when I read that.

Yup, just took a sip of it (warm) yesterday because I really wanted to try it. Good stuff, definitely at least on par with some much more expensive stuff. Can’t wait till I have a chance to sit down and drink some. I can't believe it only cost $15 for a 1/5, nice find. graemlins/thumb.gif I've never seen a vodka stick to the side of a glass like that either. Almost like a good wine does.

Another reason I do that. I find I misspell the same words often and misspell them the same way usually. Sometimes I can re-teach myself to spell the word correctly. If I just let it go unnoticed I will engrain the misspelling into my head even more. This has also helped my grammatical skills in the same way somewhat too. I used to have a big problem with run-on, or sometimes incomplete sentences but I think I do much better at that now.

You were alot of the same talk last year. I don’t want to see you talking about it this year, just come and race. And we don’t need the ‘I’ll show you how great me and my car are’ attitude either; it will get people hurt on a road course. With the HP you have, you might be able to see 160, 170 at that track... I wouldn't trust my stock brakes period if I were you on that track. Either that or just don't reach maximum speed on the really fast straights, there's absolutely nothing wrong with that. Blanks>>*

Sorry, I left my house around 3 to go there and just got back from doing other stuff. She gave me three places within 10 minutes from my house that carries the stuff and she said there seemed to be more around the east and north sides of town. Just call her and find a place close to you.

MRM Tuesday (3-8) or later this week or weekend?
Trouble Maker replied to Trouble Maker's topic in Events
You're all lame. How many people on here got passes this year and I get a response from one person about going sometime this week or weekend (wide open schedule)? I’m just trying to get a group of people together because that would be a fun time. In conclusion, you all suck. graemlins/thumbsdown.gif Except for Ben because he posted with interest and Marc and Rick because they've went with me once already this year. Come on people, the season is almost over; this might be our last decent week. Get off of your asses and do some skiing and/or boarding (but if you wear those ski skate things, stay at home). Oh yeah, they also have weekday all day passes for $25 now (I think weekend too but I'm not sure). Midnight madness is only $15 for ticket and $15 for rental. You can get a lift pass for the rest of this season and all of next season for $170, that's only $30 more than a regular (group rate) season pass. It would at least pay for the difference if you went two times the remainder of this season. It's a relatively cheap time to learn how to ski/snowboard or get back into it if you haven't been in a while. graemlins/thumb.gif -
I'm going to pick a bottle up this afternoon. It actually appears as if quite a few places carry it. I'm going to get it from the State Liquor store (called Plaza Carryout) just on West Broad about 5 minutes from my house. If you call Universal Marketing Co., they are actually called NDC General now. I talked to a very nice woman named Robin (her extension is in the introductory voice mail). They are just a marketing firm that has Tito's Vodka as one of their accounts. But she took my number and found some locations where it can be sold to individuals, promptly called me back and gave me some locations that were close to my area! I'll let you guys know how I like it whenever I get around to drinking some. graemlins/thumb.gif

Ah, ok. It's cool. It kind of seemed like it was and I didn't think you would do something like that. That was the way it read to me originally, sorry about that.

Aaron, thanks for finding out where we can possible get it in this area. I love Vodka and after this review I would really like to try this one. graemlins/thumb.gif
