  1. I know Gabe is banned for a year and there are a lot of powers that be that don't like him... but isn't it kind of dumb to change the name for this smiley since everywhere that it's been used in the past years isn't going to have that smiley anymore?
  2. Yeah, more illegal search and seizure! Aren't those white with blue lettering SUVs kind of the same thing but on the road, or are those only for commercial (semi) vehicles?
  3. A bag of flaming poo on your front porch cots me nothing... well the bag is something but not very much.
  4. For work purposes get a Lenovo.
  5. Aren't there a ton of smaller V6 engines already on the market making more power?
  6. Does anyone know where the bikers are going to be at during the Race for the Cure?
  7. Change of plans, I will be there.
  8. Great place! I go there as well as a coworker who referred me. Though I have no idea if they do IV sedation. Who is your mom?
  9. That it does, it feels like you were just posting about your new place a year or two ago. Completely understandable about not talking about the new gig before you've started. I shouldn't have asked yet and sorry that I did. I'm guessing another safety system maker, like Bosch or maybe more like your current place, but I don't know all of the players up there so it would be more than a wild guess, or a far second guess is for one of the big 3. Can't wait to hear what the new tract is!
  10. Congrats! Where at? It feels like you weren't at your current employer too long (a year or so?), not too happy there?
  11. FYI to those going to C&C, it looks like this goes right by the Lenox. http://capitalcityhalfmarathon.com/maps.shtml I will probably be doing the Market-to-Market. Lots of events in Columbus this weekend... I think last year there were a few other things going on too, what a great weekend to start actual spring (summer?) weather!
  12. My dad has an F250 I can borrow if you need it Joe. I'm sure he would have no problem with you using it, going over there to pick it up too. But it's basically on my way home from work so it would be easy for me to pick it up.
  13. Was that the little red one with the ca18det? What model was that?
  14. If you take this logic to it's furthest end a tire shop wouldn't be able to put non-OEM tires on any car (with ESC), let alone any performance shop doing anything that alters the suspension, brake system or drive-train (including engine/power) characteristics of the car. That is without going through everything the OEM went through to verify the car as safe and meeting all regulations.
  15. Regardless this seems, from what little we know, to have happened from driver error. It would be another story if something that CTD broke then caused this wreck. I really think a form filled out shouldn't effect the legalities of the situation too much. But I'm sure CTD would be in much better shape if something like this were to go to court if they had a hold harmless waver. All of the TCS/AYC settings are going to be based on the vehicle characteristics of it being AWD. At the very least that system wouldn't work the way it's intended and would/could cause the system to not be able to keep the car in check/stable when someones right foot goes too far.

  17. It said Jesse and by the time I quoted you and Alex with a you made a ninja edit and the quote came up Alex. :lolguy:
  18. When the wifes car was in the body shop recently she had a rental car. She called and said ‘do you have anything for $25/day’, it was an insurance issue. They put her in a bright green Kia Soul. While the car wasn’t perfect I was surprised I didn’t hate it. I’ll try my hand at a mini review. Engine & Trans It definitely had more pickup than I expected, I was saddened to go back to my 2001 Sunfire (2.2L) which is often outrun by people on half running mopeds. The 6 speed auto was smooth and the auto stick wasn't horrible for being an auto stick. It seems like maybe most manufactures have figured out how to make ‘good’ autostick logic so it follows what the drive request. Drive Pretty much econobox driving, which is to say nothing great, nothing really bad… except for one time changing lanes on the highway. When you hit a pothole during a quick but not too high g lane change, the rear end felt like it was going to come around on me. The car didn't slide at all, but I felt like if I did it at 0.6g instead of 0.3g it might have. This was an easily repeatable phenomenon. While it was only slightly unsettling to me, I’m sure it could scare the shit out of someone who doesn’t know how to drive. If it progressed like expected it would be downright unsafe. Interior The interior was OK. Since people who buy cars like this probably don’t care what they drive the designers decided to put SOUL over and over again on about half of the interior to remind them. I love cars that have Bluetooth audio, I either NEED to make sure my next car has it or get an aftermarket radio that does. For some reason no matter what level you had the stereo the automated voice for phone side Bluetooth was REALLY loud… maybe someone screwed with a setting before me and I didn’t bother to look. It had this weird ‘p.bass’ setting that I found turned all of the way up from a previous driver. It made the speakers distort at anything about 12/40 on the dial. Even with all EQs flat the stereo feel on it’s face after it was turned half way up, but that was still much louder than most would normally listen. But I'm pick about my stereo's, this one is fine for most. D-Pillars have a horrible blind spot, especially to the right. They need to make the little window back there bigger. Overview Yes, you expect these things to be common. But I started paying attention for some reason and they were everywhere. But despite my little nitpicks and the fact that I don’t like cars this size, I was very surprised as I expected to hate this car and it was more than adequate for a DD type of car. If I knew someone looking for this size or style car I would tell them to go test drive this one. This car probably wouldn't have crossed my mind before driving it.
  19. Go read the article I posted...
  20. On the surface it seems like it's probably not worth it anymore. http://gizmodo.com/5994446/digital-drills-the-monster-machines-that-mine-bitcoin
  21. I would agree with what Sturg said. I really like these cars, despite them being less car for the money than say a Civic or equivalent. They were a front runner when I as looking at econoboxes a few years ago, simply for the utility of space. You really can't beat these cars in that area, which is highly desirable trait for me in a car. One of the only reasons I didn't get one is that I decided to pay cash for a beater instead of having a car payment on a new/newer car. I'm not a big fan of an auto trans in a 'low' powered car. We have an auto trans sport at work as a fleet car, and a good friend has a manual trans sport. So pretty much the same car except for the trans. The auto trans car definitely feels slower. It seems like a decent enough transmission from what I can tell, I just think they are generally a bad idea in cars with this power level. The 'paddle shifters' in the auto sport are in a small way kind of fun, but only if you are beating the shit out of the car in a way you probably don't want to with a DD you own. The logic behind them is pretty good, the trans does what you tell it to do for the most part, which isn't always the case with auto stick cars. That same friend now has a family of 4, 1 kid in a booster and the other in a car seat. Plenty of space for the 4 of them. They even put a hitch on with one of those platforms and took it on a trip down to SC a few months ago and said it worked great.
  22. :lolguy: So since the bleeders were on the wrong side there was still air in the calipers, everything good now?
