  1. I like the idea, but not the style. The front looks like an "Attack" kit car and the hood is too long for a MR engine car. I actually don't mind it too much from the A-pillar back, even if it's a pretty derivitive style. The rear of the car is decent. For some reason the lines of this car makes me see it more like a modern take on a Fiero "fastback" GT.
  2. As the title states: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QS653gNKWbc Momentum Performance is the sister company of National Speed, which some of you may remember as the company that built that awesome 5th Gen Camaro that was posted last week. They get a lot of respect from me for standing behind their products like that. I don't know any aftermarket company that would do the same.
  3. My wife has reactions to gluten. Took a while to figure out what was causing her promblems. Refer to my old thread a few months ago.

    v8 beast

This post is still better than 90% of The Oven.
  5. You don't HAVE to get one. It's more or less and identification card for online purchases or financial institutions so that they can prevent Joe Blow from stealing your PayPal password and buying a ton of crap on eBay, or using your credit card number to make purchases. In essence, it's a digital way of showing your drivers license to the cashier.
  6. Those welds are the same as all their production kits. This is what my friend has been working on for the last few months. The quality and attention to detail is nice. http://importsnc.com/forums/national-speed/60346-customer-car-2005-infiniti-g35-momentum-performance-single-turbo-kit.html#post1350402
  7. Ok, so my wife just got a Wii for Christmas, but we haven't taken it out of the box yet. I started reading about the Wii2 that's supposed to be released in "early 2011" possibly February. CES is this week, which would be a good time for an announcement, but I haven't seen anything yet. Does anyone have any better idea on the Wii 2? I see it's supposed to be 1080HD, BlueRay, and possibly support a Kinect-like camera system. Should I just open my Wii and start playing, or should I take it back and hold out a few months for Wii-2?
  8. National Speed does really good work. A friend of mine (I've posted pics of his Audi before) left his job up here in the fall to go work for a division of theirs. I've been impressed with a lot of their stuff and their facilities are top notch.
  9. Oh, Nitrous is not a power adder? Still impressive, but not what I originally thought.

    Hoarders......

Didn't see tonight’s, but I’ve seen a lot of them. The animal horders are the worst. There was a guy in Detroit that had over 100 chuiuia's in his very small house. Some were alive, some were dead, and some were dead, wrapped in plastic, and in his freezer. The house was disgusting!
  11. Dang! That Z06 went 206 mph with no power adder?!
  12. A friend of mine from college just posted an autox video from his GP HD 1080p. Looks pretty good to me.
  13. Dang, that happened on my friends STi too.
  14. My wife got a Wii for Christmas. This sounds like something I need to do.
  15. Casino is good. The bars are fun...until you turn 21 and can drink in the states.
  16. I haven't seen the new 3D laptops. Are they in stores yet? They're passive 3D, i assume, since you talk about them with your company's glasses. I see the upsides to having a pair of glasses that you can wear anywhere, and I see the downsides of having a "special" pair of gaming glasses, but it would all make sense if you saw the concept I drew up. It would be seriously cool. I've been thinking of recruiting some co-ops from my work to help me put it together. Thanks for the hookup offer. I've been getting my glasses through my father in-law, who manages several ophthalmology labs in MI and can get me a pretty good discount. Got my Rx Oakley sunglasses and Oakley Drill Bits for daily use. Now I just need some Oakley 3D's to complete my collection.
  17. I wear glasses so it would be nice to have a nice prescription pair of 3D glasses. Active or passive doesn't matter to me. I probably wouldn't wear them anywhere else anyway because I would be afraid of damaging or breaking them for the 90% of time I wouldn't use 3D. I also think the future of 3D is gaming, not DVD movies. To me this means there will be unique concepts for the glasses that would only be worn when in front of the TV. I actually have a concept drawn up, but no way to make it and no time outside of work to put it all together myself. Gaming is also the reason I think the no-glasses 3D will not take off immediately. To fully immerse yourself in the game you need to be able to see the 3D from any angle and move within the space. The reports I heard on the Samsung was that the 3D was good, and it could be seen at different viewing angles, but only certain places. Ex: You could see it straight on, or offet x-feet to the side, but if you were to walk from on-center to the x-offest point the 3D effect would not be continuous. It would come in and out.
  18. Supposdly the active 3D glasses are going to be down to the $50 range soon. I've heard those 3D tv's where you don't need glasses are decent, but only if you stand in a certain place. I want to watch the Avatar 3D on my TV too. It's annoying that everything's got an exclusive deal.
  19. That Tim Allen movie isn't real?

Hopefully it's back up later today. It's an article about how they developed a process to cast a one piece manifold and turbine housing and keep it divided for dual scroll. They also name the turbo supplier.

Thought you would like to see this article. It's not an EVO turbo, but it is dual scroll. http://www.sae.org/mags/AEI/9095
  24. http://www.popularmechanics.com/cars/reviews/preview/local-motors-rally-fighter-off-road-test-drive?click=pm_latest When it first debuted it was going to use a BMW diesel, but so many of the first customers asked for an LS3 option that they made that the main engine offered. The video at the bottom of the linked page is the first I've seen the car in action. I want one. I think I need it for the roads in Michigan. I want one. I think I need it for the roads in Michigan.
