  1. I have part sitting in the cabinet next to me and I need to know what car it's from. If anyone works at a Toyota or Lexus dealer, can you PM me. I'll send you the part number if you can tell me what model the part came off. Thanks.

    GT5 updates

Yeah, all the TV's will do that. If the games were built with newer versions of DirectX 8, they will support dual virtual camera's, which gives you true 3D, not the interpolated crap the TV will do on its own.

    GT5 updates

I read something that said that most video games from the last two years or so are 3D capable. They just never had the capability to display 3D on your tv before. Supposedly it could be as easy as a DirectX upgrade and a video card that can do 3D. Anything built on versions later than DirectX 8 has 3D information in it. Which means PC games since 2002 are 3D capable. I'd wonder if I could plug a CPU into my TV and use that to play PC games in 3D. First-person shooter games would be awesome.

I just got a 3D TV yesterday (wife said it's an early Christmas gift ) and now I definitely think I need a PS3!
  5. Welcome. I had a blue mica MSP a few years ago and it was one of the best handling stock cars I've ever driven. I had a lot of fun on the track with that car, and probably should have kept it. I'm not a fan of the trunk, window sneeze guards, lug nuts, or eyelids, but if you like it that's all that matters. Have fun with it, and keep some cash on the side for when your diff breaks and engine blows.
  6. Once the car is moving you don't need the clutch, but you still have to use it when you stop.
  7. Google 'Ford Revo-knuckle' That takes care of the torque steer. I don't like the exterior of this giant fish car, but the interior is nice.
  8. I think it's an ok exterior, great interior, great gas mileage, it has the top safety ratings, and it's got plenty of interior space. I think GM has a winner, and it will be interesting to see how the new Focus compares. I eagerly await a DI turbo SS model. All around it's a great value, and currently all of GM's products are $3-5k cheaper than Ford's comparable model. Check out the Cruze hatchback they showed last week.
  9. The highest I've been on is 36 degrees, so 51 would feel nuts. Daytona is 31 deg, Talladega is 33 deg.

    CORN SUGAR

If you think that, you need to watch this:
  11. Setting them as high as possible is not the same as 'adjusting them evert time I use them.' I set mine as high as possible too, but if they were always the max height and not adjustable it wouldn't make a difference. You don't have enough room under the car to put the jack stand under without jacking it up. You jack up the car then transfer it it the stand. I thought the pictures were easy to follow... The top of the jackstand detaches and sits on the top of your jack. These have special slots, pads, or locator pins, depending on what your car came with from the factory. You jack the car up, slide the stand around the jack and let the jack down. Now the pad that was on your jack is supported by the coller of the jack stand with a very quick, seamless transfer from the jack to the stand, and you car is supported more safely on a spot designed by the factory, with the correct attachment.
  12. Fo all of you that don't like them because they're not adjustable, can I ask why you need them to be adjustable? In all the times I've used jack stands I have only ever set them at one height. I can see if you are using them at different points on the car where you need one lower in order to keep the car level, but these are designed to be used at the factory jacking points, so that's not an issue. Farkas - They look to be the same size around as a normal jack stand. Why do you think they'd get in the way? These are honest questions, as I feel that the time saved by not having to climb under the car, try to set up the jack stand, slowly let it down, and hope nothing shifts is worth the price (if reasonable).
  13. http://www.jackpointjackstands.com/Home.php I like the concept, and I especially like that you can transfer the car from the jack to the jack stand so easily.
  14. ALL cars need downforce on the track, even FWD cars. A wing like this would still be every bit as functional on a FWD car. I say do it. I would get tired of changing the trunk lid every time I took the car somewhere.
  15. I think you missed the point of his project. He bought the Atom and was using it as a powertrain development mule for his DP1 track day racer. The purpose of this car WAS TO SORT OUT THE ISSUES so it would be ready to drop in to his purpose built car.
  16. Looks much better because they hired an actual designer. I like it a lot better than the first, and hopefully it proves to be more than a glorified kit car with a big engine. The side profile looks more like a Zonda to me. PS - The rear end just got posted. http://cache.gawkerassets.com/assets/images/12/2010/09/500x_670x377image.jpg I like Jalopnik's comment that it 'has alien balls.' haha. Funky.
  17. They haven't sold one yet, but they built one in front of owners at a recent gathering at their factory. (hence all the recent press) The guy that made the DP1-DP4 (http://www.palatov.com/index.html and I'm sure you've read his blog) built one with a Hartley V8 as a test mule/fun car. Check out the bolg at http://www.dpcars.net/ and click on the picture of the Atom on the left side bar.
  18. They're building an electric bike and racing it in the TTX series right now. Seems like that's were their effort has been focused lately.
  19. The Hyundai Equus (spelling?) is their Merc S Class 'fighter' and it comes with an iPad as a owners manual and you can use it to schedule service. This Brabus was just released this week and is a rolling iOffice.
  20. Berto, you make me want an FC. Maybe someone will trade me a good shell for my go kart (TonyKart)....
