  1. Kind of a drive but I bought my handgun at shooters supply in cincinnati for a great price.
  2. cool thanks I will do it that way next time... anyone else?
  3. I would have to say Gander Mountain or Vances Shooter Supply would be the largest around here. Dicks does have a lot and is able to order most what they dont.
  4. So even if rubber seals are available with the holes drilled in the block you still do not use them?
  5. put-in bay? Never been but have heard a lot about it
  6. I know lots of guys with six speed cars that went 3.73s and wished they went 4.10s. Keep in mind the higher ratio you go the more likely you are to break it in that powerhouse rear. I went 4.10s and broke them, went back to 3.42s and didn't break them but after awhile they whined like crazy so I put another set of 3.42s in and then totaled the car (not on purpose). Big difference in the car with the 4.10s- 2nd was like 1st, third like 2nd etc- only problem was traction was now non-existant on the street and I had to get a set of sticky tires which made track trips less fun. They were great for dropping to 3rd or 4th on the freeway though- my 1/4 mile time did not change for some reason- even dropping it at 5K on et streets (maybe I didn't have enough power for them?)... I went back to the 3.42s (street traction) if picked another I probablly would have tried 3.90s but they probably would have been just as bad and its all a waste with that 7 5/8 rear. I am with the rest- save for a 9" or 12 bolt. other than cowl shake, bad power windows, headlight motors, and t-top leaks thats about all there is that is wrong with the f-bodies. They have really come down in price from where they used to be.
  7. post this on the corral- I have a hanlon t5 rebuild kit complete (but for fork end caps and 1 o-ring) which I can get for you if you were interested- I also bought the video. I tore mine all down because I had no 5th gear or reverse only to find that the 5th/reverse lever shaft bolt had backed off about a 1/4"- Unfortunately this was able to be tightened from the outside had I realized this before- retorqued and loctited that @@#@ in there and all has been PERFECT since- When I had it apart I put the new o-ring in, a new 5th/reverse lever just in case (bought in addition to the kit before I tore it down), and the clutch fork pads. probably not related but are using a bbk adjustable cable? What is an adjustable quadrant? Double hook? I would stick with a factory non-adj cable or a maximum motorsports universal which is afactory cable from some undisclosed source- I think it is an sn95 mustang though- made a big difference in pedal pressure/proper engagement as it was no longer so stiff. The adjustable cable the previous owner installed was a complete POS that would stretch frequently and the pedal pressure was unreal with the factory quadrant, the crappy cable, and even when properly re-routed it wasn't much better. Good Luck!
  8. Hey all, I've done it numerous ways in the past with no problems (yet!) but which way do the professionals on this list do it? 1)light RTV on both sides of intake manifold to head (port) gasket(s)- adhere to heads then set intake on side also covered with rtv. 2)Bare gaskets with no RTV. A)Rubber end seals (if available) without locating holes drilled in block, skin of rtv below seal, 1/8"-1/4" bead rtv on top and in corners B)Rubber end seals with locating holes drilled in block, skin of rtv below seal, 1/8"-1/4" bead rtv on top and in corners C)No Rubber seal with 1/4"-3/8" bead of RTV across entire front and rear valley and in corners D)Cork end seals with skin of rtv below and lots on top and corners My 302 SBF I did 1(A), 460 BB Ford I did 1(B), My LT1 SBC I did 1©, and I have never done (D). The factory service manuals, haynes manuals, intake manifold instructions, and general info I have heard do not agree or are not clear. THANKS! Andrew
  9. Isn't this already over? Or is it next April 18?
  10. I know- we had work at the house to do on Sunday :-( thanks for the offer though- that may make me do crazy things like part out the mustang to get one however...
  11. Will do- once it dried up a bit it was a lot less frustrating- from what I can tell so far other than the minis I think the RSX-S is classed pretty good in G-stock... well who am I kidding I at lesat wont be anywhere near competitive in any class anytime soon..
  12. hmm you may have spoken with my wife (she's more extroverted than I), but we are both Vanderbilt alums???
  13. Posts like these are what gives CR a bad name.
  14. Well guys- finally got back on here to post- What a lot of fun that autoxing is... the wife and I had a blast and we met a lot of cool people- I didn't know our car could handle that well even with my novice driving and there is NO WAY I am bringing the mustang out in its current state--- its hard enough to keep on track with less than half the hp/3-4 times the brakes/and probably 5 times the suspension. Hard to believe how much my instructor got out of our car.... AJ/Ben was good to put faces to the names- Turboed- saw your car but didn't see you w/o helmet- you were running when I was working- like the supertrapps- I am going to try that on my mustang if there were any columbus racing people there I didn't mention I apologize- I may have met you and not known you were on here as well... See you next time.
  15. Cool thanks guys! see you there.
  16. Cool thanks! He is a good guy- I also went to school, played soccer with him before he went back to marion pleasant or high or whichever one it was.
  17. I wouldn't pay 700 for any of those bikes let alone 1500.
  18. I thought the school was at the ackerman lot? Which btw is where on ackerman?
  19. Its weird- it seems sporty/cool bikes don't exist in this price range- I have looked casually here and there and regardless of age or mileage 2 grand seems to be the cheapest bike available... I am sure deals are out there but I must never look in the right places.
  20. hey guys Whats the cheapest honda sport bike? I guess 90s or newer? Maybe late 80s? I don't really have intentions of becoming a motorcyle rider- I just love their power to weight ratio and the fact that its all there and accessible as far as the mechanicals... Ideally I would want one with a broken/ bent frame/blown engine I could steal and then reweld/rebuild as a project- ride a few times for the hell of it to make sure everything is kosher and then sell it and do it again... Kind of a nice easy paced yet extreme mechanical project for a lower budget than a car with a monster reward the test drive and then able to make some money or at least recoup what I have in it or not lose my !@$#!@ on (hence why I want honda) I guess harley davidson would be better but I like the sport bikes better
