  1. My `94 Corolla's numbers are accurate, but I idle it 2 hours per day (not in traffic) and run the AC 100% of the time so the MPG should probably be higher since I found that I probably waste 2 gallons a day idling. No I don't pay for my gas:-) Evan
  2. Maybe he just wanted to make conversation and at the same time learn something. Can't really do both of those using Google. To answer some of your question, yes there are rules and specs for the cars to make it at least a little safe. If you want a much better answer you probably need to find a forum about this if one exists. Maybe you'll get lucky and someone will know on here, but who knows. Most guys like pretty cars on here. Evan
  3. Yes the same place. Vesuvius was the volcano and Pompe was the city near it. Herculaneum(sp?) was nearby and also buried. Evan
  4. Until the last few centuries (maybe) 99% of people did work at jobs they likely hated and that drove them to early graves. Quit whining and get back to work! Evan
  5. I like guns as much as the next guy, but the attitude I hear from a lot of the gun guys such as "They can have my guns when they pry them from my cold dead hands" is gonna get those guys killed first. I say keep a stash they can take from you and wait it out. Then pwn them after they think all the guns are gone and the world is safe from us civilians:-) But oh well at least there will be blood. Evan
  6. This question come up a lot doesn't it:-) Evan
  7. That right there is the truth. Evan
  8. Hehe I found the answer to some of my question. Check out some of these movie titles:-) http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/USA_Up_All_Night
  9. Very true, but that is a short term problem. I still say let them rot. Evan
  10. I agree with your criteria. Its logical and probably accurate most of the time when looking for someone who will respect your company and property. They'd also likely be responsible, but for some people there is still no help. I've never agreed with hiring people based on the interview and how they "sold" it. To many people are capable of bullshitting their way through interviews. In my company we find out pretty fast who's a worthless piece of shit. To many responsibilities and skills required to just "wing" it. Evan
  11. Ask on http://www.ohio4x4.com and you will get all the help you want. 4 wheel parts went out of business in the area, but there was one up in cleveland. not sure if its there any more either. They weren't the best place in town for sure. Evan
  12. Be married a little longer and it will pass. Wife and I have been married I think 6 years and might as well been married 10-11. Now we learned a balance and all is well. Well just don't ask her:-) Evan
  13. if she's a girl friend, get married. that will cure the "needing your attention all the time" stuff. She'll want you to get the hell out and leave her alone more often;-) Evan
  14. While we're on `80's movies... Anyone remember USA "UP! All night" on I think friday nights? It had that babe on as a commentator between commercials and they always played guy movies usually involving hot chicks, gun, and about one guy on the whole planet. Wonder where I could watch these shows again? I keep telling my wife about them, but I can't find any. Evan
  15. The wife and I do this sort of thing a lot. Air Force museum is at the top of my list of places to go for a day trip. If you like to eat also try driving down to Marietta. Its an eating town like Columbus. So many good places and so few people. The river front is cool if your from out of town and there are other things around as well. I'm sure there is still a tourist site about that area. Also it was a major frontier settlement so lots of historic sites and beautiful victorian houses that make victorian village and east broad st look like more of a ghetto. Evan
  16. That theory doesn't hold water well. The dollar is up quite a bit in the past couple months. Check any chart. I will say that oil is traded in USD's though so some of that theory is right. Evan
  17. Thats not a huge change, but you'll feel the difference. At least its not going to bring your top speed down much. Evan
  18. You know those police on the Simpson? Well its a little like that:-) Evan
  19. Thats pretty sad, but that is about as bad as it could get. If you'd bought $1000 of google you'd be up about 25%, but thats a pretty good stock most of the time. Oh and you'd have been able to afford 2 shares 1 year ago. Now you would only be able to buy 1 with $1000. Evan
  20. Theres almost no possible way a cell phone could cause a problem with medical equipment. The FCC sticker on all electronic devices says they can't interfere with other devices. It also says devices must except interference, but who knows what thats about. I'm in OSU hospital and clinics 50% of my work time and I've got 2 cell phones on me and I'm talking on one or the other constantly. I also see doctors on them all over the hospitals as well. I'm even in SICU areas repairing machines right next to all sorts of life saving electronics and I've never noticed a pattern of equipment going crazy when I'm there. Oh one other note. If cell phones could interfere then all the motorola pagers that every nurses station has would also cause a problem. Not because they are emitting signal, but because towers are passing signal to them. Not to mention all the signals that are passing through the buildings 24/7 anyway from towers of all types all across the city/country/space. Bottom line, I bet they don't want 50 million people walking through the halls on cell phones or sitting in waiting rooms all over the place yelling into the damn things. You know the type of people I'm talking about and would you want to to sit in a room with them while your loved one is being worked on and your already stressed? Evan
  21. A little more than $7000 for the gravel and I had to rent a bob cat for a couple days to move it around since the ground was to soft for the semis to spread about 40% of it. I had to use #4's for now. If I ever get around to it I'll put #57 or 304 on top of it now that the road is nice and hard. That Mr Mulch site is great for gravel information and has a calculator like the man said. I'm doing the same thing in a couple months. Gravel road over to barn all that. Can't wait, lots of fun running a bobcat all day. Evan
  22. Well not to defend the police, but my logic would say that police at 17% and criminals at 10% means that police are 70% better than the criminals performance. Evan
  23. I agree people who take unscheduled days off at the last moment in the name of a sick day should just be fired. I've never done it and hell unless I'm unable to work due to puking my guts out every few minutes I'm going to work. My wife will pull that crap every once in a while and all day I'm wanting to call her boss and ask them to fire her. Evan
  24. Come over and try breaking my 38x10.50's with your foot:-) I usually use a bottle jack and press it between my trail trucks bumper and the ground to get them unseated. I have done 33x10.50's with a 3lb hammer though, but that was a good bit of swinging. Evan
  25. I'm gonna build a deck this year or in the next few years, but stimulus check doesn't get to help any. Its buying another 100 tons of gravel for some parking around the house and building. No clue on referrals since I do about anything I can myself (cheap bastard.) Evan
